Genesis 10 - DBY (Punjabi)

1 And these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and to them were sons born after the flood.ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵੱਧਦੀਆਂ-ਫ਼ੁਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ। ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ।

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਗੋਮਰ, ਮਾਗੋਗ, ਮਾਦਈ, ਯਾਵਾਨ, ਤੂਬਲ, ਮਸੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਸ।

3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.ਗੋਮਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਸ਼ਕਨਜ਼, ਰੀਫਤ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਂਗਰਮਾਹ।

4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.ਯਾਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਹ, ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ, ਕਿੱਤੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਦਾਨੀਮ।

5 From these came the distribution of the isles of the nations, according to their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਤਟ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਸੀ। ਹਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਅਲੱਗ ਕੌਮ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਹਰੇਕ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਸੀ।

6 And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਕੂਸ਼, ਮਿਸਰਇਮ, ਪੂਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ।

7 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਸਬਾ, ਹਵੀਲਾਹ, ਸਬਤਾਹ, ਰਾਮਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਬਤਕਾ। ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਸਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਦਾਨ।

8 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.ਕੂਸ਼ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਸੀ। ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਯੋਧਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।

9 He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; therefore it is said, As Nimrod, the mighty hunter before Jehovah!ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਬਣਿਆ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, “ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਵਾਂਗ, ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ।”

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਬਲ, ਅਰਕ, ਅੱਕਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਨੇਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਨਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।

11 From that land went out Asshur, and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਅਸ਼ੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਗਿਆ। ਅਸ਼ੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਨੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ, ਰਹੋਬੋਥਈਰ, ਕਾਲਹ ਅਤੇ

12 and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah: this is the great city.ਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। (ਰਸਨ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ।)

13 -- And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,ਮਿਸ਼ਰਇਮ (ਮਿਸਰ) ਲੂਦੀ, ਅਨਾਮੀ, ਲਹਾਬੀ, ਨਫ਼ਤੂਹੀ,

14 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim, out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.ਪਤਰੂਸੀ, ਕੁਸਲੂਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਫ਼ਤੋਂਰੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਸੀ। (ਫ਼ਿਲਸਤੀ ਲੋਕ ਕੁਸਲੂਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ।)

15 -- And Canaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth,ਕਨਾਨ, ਸੀਦੋਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸੀਦੋਨ, ਕਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਕਨਾਨ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਹੇਥ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਯਬੂਸੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਗਿਰਗਾਸ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ,

17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,ਹਿੱਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਅਰਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਸੀਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ,

18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. And afterwards the families of the Canaanites spread themselves abroad.ਅਰਵਾਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਸਮਾਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਵੀ ਸੀ। ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਏ।

19 And the border of the Canaanite was from Sidon, as one goes to Gerar, up to Gazah; as one goes to Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, up to Lesha.ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਦੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਗਰਾਰ ਤੱਕ, ਪੱਛਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ਼ਹ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਤੱਕ, ਅਦਮਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਬੋਈਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਲਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੱਕ ਸੀ।

20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.ਇਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ-ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਬਣ ਗਏ।

21 And to Shem -- to him also were [sons] born; he is the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸ਼ੇਮ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਏਬਰ ਸੀ, ਸਮੂਹ ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ।

22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਏਲਾਮ, ਅਸ਼ੂਰ, ਅਰਪਕਸ਼ਦ, ਲੂਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ।

23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਊਸ, ਹੂਲ ਗਥਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਸ਼।

24 -- And Arphaxad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.ਅਰਪਕਸ਼ਦ ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਏਬਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.ਏਬਰ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਲਗ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੰਡੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ।

26 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਅਲਮੋਦਾਦ, ਸ਼ਾਲਫ਼, ਹਸਰਮਾਵਤ, ਯਰਾਹ,

27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,ਹਦੋਰਾਮ, ਊਜ਼ਾਲ, ਦਿਕਲਾਹ,

28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,ਓਬਾਲ, ਅਬੀਮਾਏਲ, ਸ਼ਬਾ,

29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.ਓਫ਼ਿਰ, ਹਵੀਲਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।

30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as one goes to Sephar, the eastern mountain.ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਫ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਸੀ।

31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ, ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. And from these came the distribution of the nations on the earth after the flood.ਇਹ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈਆਂ।
