ਮੂਸਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 40 ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ 40 ਰਾਤਾਂ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਧਾ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਦਸ ਹੁਕਮ) ਲਿਖੇ।
