Exodus 17:7
ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਰੀਬਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਸਾਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰੱਖ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਜਾਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।

| the chiding | רִ֣יב׀ | rîb | reev |
| children the of | בְּנֵ֣י | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
| of Israel, | יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| and because | וְעַ֨ל | wĕʿal | veh-AL |
| they tempted | נַסֹּתָ֤ם | nassōtām | na-soh-TAHM |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| Lord, the | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| saying, | לֵאמֹ֔ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| Is | הֲיֵ֧שׁ | hăyēš | huh-YAYSH |
| the Lord | יְהוָ֛ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| among | בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ | bĕqirbēnû | beh-keer-BAY-noo |
| us, or | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| not? | אָֽיִן׃ | ʾāyin | AH-yeen |
