Exodus 10:12
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਟਿੱਡੀ ਦਲ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਖਾ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗੜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।”

| for the locusts, | בָּֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה | bāʾarbe | ba-ar-BEH |
| up come may they that | וְיַ֖עַל | wĕyaʿal | veh-YA-al |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the land | אֶ֣רֶץ | ʾereṣ | EH-rets |
| Egypt, of | מִצְרָ֑יִם | miṣrāyim | meets-RA-yeem |
| and eat | וְיֹאכַל֙ | wĕyōʾkal | veh-yoh-HAHL |
