ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਆ ਪਈ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇ। ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਵਿਖਾਈ।

1 Samuel 9:9
