Deuteronomy 16:1
ਪਸਹ “ਅਬੀਬ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਸਹ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।

Exodus 23:15
ਪਹਿਲੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ‘ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ’ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਇਹ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਬੀਬ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਲੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ।
