ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਪਰ ਜਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਬਰ ਲਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
