ਸ਼ੂਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਸੀ।

ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ।

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੰਜ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ, ਤੇਰੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਵੀ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਔਰਤ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਬਾਂਝ ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ!
Hebrews 11:11
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਬੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਾਰਾਹ ਵੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਲਾਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
