ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੂਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਥਪਥ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

Deuteronomy 19:10

Jeremiah 15:1
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੋਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਦੇ।
Jeremiah 19:4
ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਹੋਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਲੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਏ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੜੇ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

“ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੂਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੇਵਾਂ?
