ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਥਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਢਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੀ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਥਾਂ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ-ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੂਰਾ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਥੰਮ ਵੀ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Jeremiah 17:2
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਲਈ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਘੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।

Deuteronomy 7:25
“ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਕੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿਉਂ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਜਾਂ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਤਮੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਿਕਂਜੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Exodus 32:20
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਵਛਾ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਘਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਹ ਕੇ ਧੂੜ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
