ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਖੀਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਭੁੰਜਿਓਁ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ।
