ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਸ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੜ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਤਾਂ ਬਚਪਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਲੜਦਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
