ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਇਹ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਉੱਪਰਲੀ ਸੁਆਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਖਿੰਡ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।’”

Deuteronomy 13:1
ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀ “ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਬੀ ਜਾਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਵੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰੇ। ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਜਾਂ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ।
Exodus 7:10
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਸੋਟੀ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਗਈ।
Exodus 4:8
ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੇਂ ਪਰ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਵੀਂ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
