Psalm 16 in Tamil

1 தேவனே, என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும், உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன். Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

2 என் நெஞ்சமே, நீ கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர், என் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிறீர், என் செல்வம் உமக்கு வேண்டியதாயிராமல், O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

3 பூமியிலுள்ள பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும், நான் என் முழுப் பிரியத்தையும், வைத்திருக்கிற மகாத்துமாக்களுக்கும், அது வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது என்று சொன்னாய். But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

4 அந்நியதேவனை நாடிப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களுக்கு வேதனைகள் பெருகும்; அவர்கள் செலுத்துகிற இரத்த பானபலிகளை நான் செலுத்தமாட்டேன், அவர்கள் நாமங்களை என் உதடுகளினால் உச்சரிக்கவுமாட்டேன். Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

5 கர்த்தர் என் சுதந்தரமும் என் பாத்திரத்தின் பங்குமானவர்; என் சுதந்தரத்தை தேவரீர் காப்பாற்றுகிறீர். The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

6 நேர்த்தியான இடங்களில் எனக்குப் பங்கு கிடைத்தது; ஆம், சிறப்பான சுதந்தரம் எனக்கு உண்டு. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

7 எனக்கு ஆலோசனை தந்த கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்; இராக்காலங்களிலும் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்கள் என்னை உணர்த்தும். I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

8 கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன்; அவர் என் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் இருக்கிறபடியால் நான் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லை. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 ஆகையால் என் இருதயம் பூரித்தது, என் மகிமை களிகூர்ந்தது; என் மாம்சமும் நம்பிக்கையோடே தங்கியிருக்கும். Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்தில் விடீர்; உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவானை அழிவைக் காணவொட்டீர். For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 ஜீவமார்க்கத்தை எனக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துவீர்; உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் பரிபூரண ஆனந்தமும், உம்முடைய வலது பாரிசத்தில் நித்திய பேரின்பமும் உண்டு. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

2 En nenjamae, nee karththarai Nnokki: thaevareer, en aanndavaraayirukkireer, en selvam umakku vaenntiyathaayiraamal, O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

3 Poomiyilulla Parisuththavaankalukkum, naan en mulup piriyaththaiyum, vaiththirukkira makaaththumaakkalukkum, athu vaenntiyathaayirukkirathu entu sonnaay. But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

4 Anniyathaevanai naatip pinpattaுkiravarkalukku vaethanaikal perukum; avarkal seluththukira iraththa paanapalikalai naan seluththamaattaேn, avarkal naamangalai en uthadukalinaal uchcharikkavumaattaேn. 5 Karththar en suthantharamum en paaththiraththin pangumaanavar; en suthantharaththai thaevareer kaappaattaுkireer. The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

6 Naerththiyaana idangalil enakkup pangu kitaiththathu; aam, sirappaana suthantharam enakku unndu. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

7 Enakku aalosanai thantha karththaraith thuthippaen; iraakkaalangalilum en ullinthiriyangal ennai unarththum. I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

8 Karththarai eppoluthum enakku munpaaka vaiththirukkiraேn; avar en valathupaarisaththil irukkirapatiyaal naan asaikkappaduvathillai. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Aakaiyaal en iruthayam pooriththathu, en makimai kalikoornthathu; en maamsamum nampikkaiyotae thangiyirukkum. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 En aaththumaavaip paathaalaththil viteer; ummutaiya Parisuththavaanai alivaik kaanavottir. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 Jeevamaarkkaththai enakkuth theriyappaduththuveer; ummutaiya samukaththil paripoorana aananthamum, ummutaiya valathu paarisaththil niththiya paerinpamum unndu. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
