1 Balaam said to Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bulls and seven rams.ତା'ପରେ ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକକୁ କହିଲେ, ଏଠା ରେ ମାେ ପାଇଁ ସାତ ଗୋଟି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କର। ମାେ ପାଇଁ ସାତଟି ଷଣ୍ତ ଓ ସାତଟି ମଷେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର।

2 Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bull and a ram.ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମର କଥା ଅନୁସାରେ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ବାଲାକ୍ ଓ ବିଲିଯମ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ରେ ଏକ ଏକ ଗୋବତ୍ସ ଓ ଏକ ଏକ ମଷେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

3 Balaam said to Balak, Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go: perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me; and whatever he shows me I will tell you. He went to a bare height.ତହୁଁ ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହୋମବଳୀ ନିକଟରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ। ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ୟିବି। ପ୍ରାଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିବେ। ଆଉ ସେ ଯାହା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦବେେ, ତାହା ହିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବି। ଏଣୁ ସେ ଏକ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲେ।

4 God met Balaam: and he said to him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.ପରମେଶ୍ବର ବିଲିଯମକୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ବିଲିଯମ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ସାତଟି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛି ଓ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ରେ ଏକ ଷଣ୍ତ ଓ ଏକ ଅଣ୍ତିରା ମଷେ ବଳିଦାନ କରିଅଛି।

5 Yahweh put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.ସେତବେେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବିଲିଯମର ମୁଖ ରେ ଏକ ବାକ୍ଯ ଦଇେ ତାକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବାଲାକ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ଫରେିୟାଅ, ତାକୁ ଏହିରୂପେ କୁହ।

6 He returned to him, and, behold, he was standing by his burnt-offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.ତେଣୁ ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ଫରେି ୟାଇ ଦେଖିଲେ, ବାଲାକ୍ ତଥାପି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିକଟରେ ଛିଡା ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି ଓ ମାଯାେବର ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଛିଡା ହାଇେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

7 He took up his parable, and said, From Aram has Balak brought me, The king of Moab from the mountains of the East: Come, curse me Jacob, Come, defy Israel.ତହୁଁ ବିଲିଯମ କହିଲେ,

8 How shall I curse, whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy, whom Yahweh has not defied?ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯାହାକୁ ଶାପ ଦଇନୋହାନ୍ତି ମୁଁ କିପରି ତାକୁ ଶାପ ଦବେି? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାହାକୁ ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ କରିନାହାଁନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ କି ରୂପେ ତାହାକୁ ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ କରିବି?

9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, From the hills I see him: behold, it is a people that dwells alone, And shall not be reckoned among the nations.ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପର୍ବତ ଶିଖରରୁ ଦେଖୁଅଛି। ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଗରି ଶ୍ ରଣେିରୁ ଦେଖୁଅଛି। ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ବଞ୍ଚନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ନିଜକୁ ଦେଶର ଏକ ଅଂଶ ବୋଲି ବିବଚେନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, Or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, Let my last end be like his!ଯାକୁବର ପରିବାରକୁ କିଏ ଗଣିପାରିବ? ଯେ ହତେୁ ସମାନେେ ଧୂଳି କଣିକାପରି? ଏପରିକି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଏକ ଚତୁର୍ଥାଂଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ କହେି ଗଣି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ଧାର୍ମିକ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ରୂପେ ମାେତେ ମରିବାକୁ ଦିଅ। ମାରେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ହେଉ।

11 Balak said to Balaam, What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have blessed them altogether.ଏଥି ରେ ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଏ କ'ଣ କଲ? ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶାପ ଦବୋପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଡାକିଥିଲୁ। ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲ।

12 He answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Yahweh puts in my mouth?ମାତ୍ର ବିଲିଯମ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେ ମୁହଁ ରେ ଯାହା କହନ୍ତି, ତାହା ହିଁ କରିବା କ'ଣ ମାରେଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ?

13 Balak said to him, Please come with me to another place, from whence you may see them; you shall see but the utmost part of them, and shall not see them all: and curse me them from there.ଏହାପରେ ବାଲାକ୍ କହିଲେ, ଦୟାକରି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ସହିତ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସ, ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦେଖିପାରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ କବଳେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦେଖିବ ଯେଉଁ ମାନେ ଶଷେ ଭାଗ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ସହେିଠାରୁ ମାେ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦିଅ।

14 He took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମକୁ ପିସ୍ଗାର ପୃଷ୍ଠସ୍ଥିତ ସୋଫୀମ୍ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ ଏବଂ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସାତଟି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଷଣ୍ତ ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଣ୍ତିରା ମଷେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

15 He said to Balak, Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet [Yahweh] yonder.ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ହାମବେଳି ନିକଟରେ ଛିଡାହୁଅ। ମୁଁ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବି।

16 Yahweh met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Return to Balak, and thus shall you speak.ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବିଲିଯମ ସହିତ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ ଓ ତାହାର ମୁଖ ରେ ବାକ୍ଯ ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବାଲାକ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଅ ଏବଂ ତାକୁ ଏହା କୁହ।

17 He came to him, and, behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, What has Yahweh spoken?ତହୁଁ ସେ ବାଲାକ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ଫରେିଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ତାକୁ ନିଜର ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିକଟରେ ଛିଡା ହାଇେଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ମାୟୋବର କୁଳୀନମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲେ। ବାଲାକ୍ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କ'ଣ କହିଲେ?

18 He took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; Listen to me, you son of Zippor:ତା'ପରେ ବିଲିଯମ କହିଲେ,

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, ସେ ମିଥ୍ଯା କହିବେ ନାହିଁ। ସେ ମଧ୍ଯ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ବଦଳାଇବେ ନାହିଁ। ସେ କହିବେ କି ଯାହା ସେ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ? ନା! ସେ କହିବେ କି ଏବଂ ତାହା ହବେ ନାହିଁ? ନା!

20 Behold, I have received [commandment] to bless: He has blessed, and I can't reverse it.ଦେଖ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବାକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ଏହା ଅନ୍ୟଥା କରି ନପା ରେ।

21 He has not saw iniquity in Jacob; Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel: Yahweh his God is with him, The shout of a king is among them.ସେ ଯାକୁବ ପରିବାରର ପାପ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଏବଂ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ମଧିଅରେ ପାପ ଦେଖି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଜଯଧ୍ବନୀ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଥିଲା।

22 God brings them forth out of Egypt; He has as it were the strength of the wild-ox.ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମିଶରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣି ଅଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅରଣା ଗୋରୁର ଶିଙ୍ଗ ପରି ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ।

23 Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; Neither is there any divination with Israel: Now shall it be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God done!କୈଣସି ଶକ୍ତି ୟାବୁକ ବଂଶକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା କୌଣସି ମନ୍ତ୍ର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲକୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ଏହି କ୍ଷଣି ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବିଷଯ ରେ କୁହାୟିବ; 'ପରମେଶ୍ବର କି କର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।'

24 Behold, the people rises up as a lioness, As a lion does he lift himself up: He shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, Drink the blood of the slain.ଦେଖ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ସିଂହ ବିକ୍ରମ ରେ ଲଢୁଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସିଂହ ପରି ଉଠୁଛନ୍ତି। ଯେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସେ ସିଂହ ଶିକାର ଭୋଜନ ନ କରିଛି ଓ ହତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତ ପାନ ନ କରିଛ, ସେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଶଯନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

25 Balak said to Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.ଅନନ୍ତର ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କିଛି ଶାପ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କର ନାହିଁ।

26 But Balaam answered Balak, Didn't I tell you, saying, All that Yahweh speaks, that I must do?ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକ୍ କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିଅଛ ଯେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ଯାହା କହିବେ ମୁଁ ତାହା କରିବି।

27 Balak said to Balaam, Come now, I will take you to another place; peradventure it will please God that you may curse me them from there.ତା'ପରେ ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମକୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ବିନଯ କରୁଅଛି, ଦୟାକରି ଆସ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ନଇେ ୟିବି। ଏହା ଏପରି ହାଇପୋ ରେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଦୟାପୂର୍ବକ ହାଇେ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶାପ ଦବୋକୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦଇେ ପାରନ୍ତି।

28 Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, that looks down on the desert.ଏଣୁ ବାଲାକ୍ ବିଲିଯମ ମରୁଭୂମି ଅଭିମୁଖ ରେ ପିୟୋର ଶିଖରକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ।

29 Balaam said to Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bulls and seven rams.ତହୁଁ ବିଲିଯମ ବାଲାକ୍ କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ମାେ ପାଇଁ ସାତ ଗୋଟି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କର ଓ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ମାେ ପାଇଁ ସାତଟି ଷଣ୍ତ ଓ ସାତଟି ଅଣ୍ତିରା ମଷେ ଆଯୋଜନ କର।

30 Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.ତେଣୁ ବାଲାକ୍ ସହେି ଅନୁସାରେ କଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗୋବତ୍ସ ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଣ୍ତିରା ମଷେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।
