ହୋଶେୟ 10:1-2

1 Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.

2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

1 ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତା ସଦୃଶ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଫଳ ଧାରଣ କରେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଅଧିକ ଜିନିଷ ଲାଭକଲେ ସେତବେେଳେ ସେ ଭଣ୍ତ ଦବେତାଙ୍କ ପୂଜା ପାଇଁ ଅଧିକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ଯ ଅଧିକ ଭଲ ହେଲା। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଭଣ୍ତ ଦବେତାଙ୍କ ପୂଜାଲାଗି ଅତିସୁନ୍ଦର ପଥରମାନ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

2 ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଠକିବାକୁ ଚୋଷ୍ଟା କଲେ କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଦୋଷ ସ୍ବୀକାର କରିବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦବେେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସ୍ମୃତିସ୍ତମ୍ଭକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରି ଦବେେ।
