ଆଦି ପୁସ୍ତକ 33:1-19

1 And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

6 Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

7 And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan-aram; and pitched his tent before the city.

19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.

1 ଅନନ୍ତର ଯାକୁବ ଏଲଷୗ ଆସୁଥିବାରସଦଖିଲଲ। ଏଲଷୗ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଚାରିଶହସଲାକଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ଆସୁଥିଲଲ। ଯାକୁବ ତା'ର ପରିବାରକୁ ଚାରି ଭାଗସର ବିଭକ୍ତ କଲା।ସଲୟା ଏବଂ ତା'ର ପିଲାମାଲନସଗାଟିଏ ଦଳସର ରହିଲଲ। ରାଲହଲ ଏବଂସଯାଲଷଫସଗାଟିଏ ଦଳସର ରହିଲଲ। ଦୁଇଦାସୀ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ପିଲାମାଲନ ଦୁଇସଗାଟି ଦଳସର ରହିଲଲ।

2 ଯାକୁବ, ଆଲଗ ଦୁଇ ଦାସୀ ଓସସମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ତା' ପଲଛସଲୟା ଓ ତା'ର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ସବା ଶଲଷସର ରାଲହଲ ଓସଯାଲଷଫକୁ ରଖିଲଲ।

3 ସସମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଗସର ଯାକୁବ ଗଲା,ସସସଯଲତଲବଲଳ ଭାଇର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀସହଲା। ଭକ୍ତିସଦଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଯାକୁବ ସାତଥର ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା।
And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

4 ସଯଲତଲବଲଳ ଏଲଷୗ ଯାକୁବକୁସଦଖିଲଲସସ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଭଲଟିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୌଡ଼ିଗଲଲ। ଏହାପଲରସସ ତା'ର ଗଳାଧରି ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ ଓ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କଲଲ, ପୁଣି ଦୁସହଁ କାନ୍ଦିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲଲ।

5 ଏଲଷୗ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁସଦଖିଲଲ,ସସ ପଚାରିଲଲ, "ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଏହିସଲାକମାଲନ କିଏ?"
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

6 ଏହାପଲର ଦୁଇଦାସୀ ଓ ତାହାର ପିଲାମାଲନ ଏଲଷୗ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲଲ।ସସମାଲନ ଏଲଷୗକୁ ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲଲ।
Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

7 ଏହାପଲରସଲୟା ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଏଲଷୗକୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲଲ। ଏବଂ ଏହାପଲର ରାଲହଲ ଓସଯାଲଷଫ ଏଲଷୗ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଇ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲଲ।
And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

8 ଏଲଷୗ କହିଲଲ, ମୁଁ ଆସିବା ସମୟଲରସଯଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁସଦଖିଲିସସମାଲନ କିଏ?ସସ ପଶୁଗୁଡ଼ିକ କାହା ନିମନ୍ଲତ ନଲଉଛନ୍ତି।
And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

9 କନ୍ତୁ ଏଲଷୗ କହିଲଲ, "ତୁମ୍ଭରସମାଲତ କିଛି ଉପହାରସଦବା ଦରକାର ନାହିଁ, ଭାଇସମା ପାଇଁ ବହୁତ ଅଛି।"
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

10 ଯାକୁବ କହିଲଲ, ନା ଭାଇ. ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନୁଲରାଧ କରୁଛି। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଲଭସମାଲତ ବାସ୍ତବସର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁଛସତଲବସମାର ଉପହାରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଗ୍ରହଣ କର, ଯାହା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁସଦଇଅଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପାଇ ବହୁତ ଖୁସି।ସମାଲତ ପରଲମଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଦର୍ଶନ ପରି ଲାଗୁଛି। ଆଗ୍ରହର ସହକାସର ତୁମ୍ଲଭସମାଲତ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିବାରୁ, ମୁଁ ଖୁସି।
And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

11 ସତଣୁ ମୁଁ ବିନତୀ କରୁଛି ତୁମ୍ଲଭସମାର ଉପହାର ଗ୍ରହଣ କର। ପରଲମଶ୍ବରସମା ପ୍ରତି ସଦଯସହାଇଛନ୍ତି।ସମାର ଆବଶ୍ଯକତାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପାଇଛି। ଯାକୁବ ଏଲଷୗକୁ ଉପହାରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଇଲଲ।ସତଣୁସସସସଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲଲ।
Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

12 ଏହାପଲର ଏଲଷୗ କହିଲଲ, ତୁମ୍ଲଭ ତୁମ୍ଭର ୟାତ୍ରା ଚାଲୁ ରଖ। ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ୟିବି।
And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

13 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାକୁବ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲଲ, ତୁମ୍ଲଭ ଜାଣସମାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣସଛାଟ ଏବଂ ମୁଁସମାର ପଶୁଗଣଙ୍କର ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଛୁଆମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯତ୍ନବାନ୍ସହବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ମୁଁ ଯଦି ତାଙ୍କୁ ବଳପୂର୍ବକସଗାଟିଏ ଦିନସର ବହୁତ ବାଟସନଇୟାଏସତଲବ ସମସ୍ତ ପଶୁ ମରିଯିଲବ।
And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

14 ସତଣୁସମାର ପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଲଭ ଆମ୍ଭ ଆଗସର ଚାଲ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧିସର ଧିସର ଅନୁସରଣ କରିବି, ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କର ନିରାପଦ ପାଇଁ। ମୁଁ ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଧିସର ୟିବି କାରଣସମାରପିଲାମାଲନ କ୍ଲାନ୍ତସହାଇ ପଡ଼ିଲବ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁସସଯୀରସର ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବି।
Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

15 ସତଣୁ ଏଲଷୗ କହିଲଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ମୁଁସମାରକିଛିସଲାକଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯାଉଛି।
And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

16 ସତଣୁସସହିଦିନ ଏଲଷୗସସଯୀରକୁସଫରିବା ୟାତ୍ରା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲଲ।
So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

17 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାକୁବ ସୁକ୍କୋତକୁ ଗଲଲ।ସସହି ସ୍ଥାନସରସସ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଗୃହ ତିଆରି କଲଲ ଓ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କୁଡ଼ିଆ ତିଆରି କଲଲ।ସତଣୁସସହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ସୁକ୍କୋତସହଲା।

18 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାସର ଯାକୁବ ପଦ୍ଦନ୍ ଅରାମଠାରୁ ବାହାରି କୁଶଳସର କିଣାନସଦଶସ୍ଥ ଶିଖିମର ଏକ ନଗରସର ଉପସ୍ଥିତସହାଇ ନଗରର ବାହାସର ତମ୍ବୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲଲ।

19 ଏହାପଲର ଶିଖିମର ପିତା ହସମାରର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଶ କସୀତା ନାମକସର ୗପ୍ୟ ମୁଦ୍ରାଲଦଇସସହି ତମ୍ବୁ ସ୍ଥାନଟିକୁ କିଣିଲଲ।
