ଆଦି ପୁସ୍ତକ 17:15-26

15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

24 And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

15 ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସାରୀର ଏକ ନୂତନ ନାମକରଣ କରିବି। ତାଙ୍କର ନୂତନ ନାମ ସାରା ହବେ।
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବି। ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କ କୋଳ ରେ ଏକ ପୁତ୍ର ଦବେି। ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତା'ର ପିତା ହବେ। ସେ ବହୁ ଜାତିର ଆଦିମାତା ହବେ। ଜାତିଗଣର ରାଜାମାନେ ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜନ୍ମ ନବେେ।
And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 ଅବ୍ରାମ ମୁହଁ ତଳକୁ କରି ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଓ ହସିଲେ। ସେ ନିଜକୁ କହିଲେ, କଣ ଜଣେ 100 ବର୍ଷର ଲୋକ କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ କରାଇପାରିବ? କଣ ସାରା ନବେ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ପିଲା ଧାରଣ କରିପାରିବ?
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 ଏହାପରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଇଛାକରୁଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲକେୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ କରିବ।
And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

19 ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହିଲେ, ନାଁ, ମୁଁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସାରା, ପୁତ୍ର ଜନ୍ମ କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତା'ର ନାମ ଇସ୍ହାକ ରଖିବ। ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଚୁକ୍ତି କରିବି। ସହେି ଚୁକ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଚିରକାଳସ୍ଥାଯୀ ହବେ।
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20 ମୁଁ ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲେ ବିଷଯ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅନୁ ରୋଧ ଶୁଣିଛି। ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବି। ତା'ର ବହୁସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମ ହବେେ। ତାହାଠାରୁ ବାରଜଣ ଅଧିପତି ଜନ୍ମ ନବେେ ତାଙ୍କର ପରିବାର ଏକ ବିରାଟ ଜାତି ହବେ।
And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 କିନ୍ତୁ ମାରେ ଚୁକ୍ତି ଇସ୍ହାକ ସହିତ ହବେ। ସାରା ଇସ୍ହାକକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦବେ। ଆସନ୍ତା ବର୍ଷ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ହାକ ଜନ୍ମ ନବେ।
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

22 ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା ହାଇେ ସାରିବାପରେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗକୁ ଚାଲି ଗଲେ।
And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 ତା'ପରେ ଠିକ୍ ସହେିଦିନ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସବେକଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଏବଂ ଦାସଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ କଲେ। ଅବ୍ରହାମ ମଧ୍ଯ କ୍ରିତଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ କଲେ। ଅବ୍ରହାମ ପରିବାରର ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରୁଷଗଣ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହେଲେ। ଏବଂ ସମସ୍ତେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯାନୁସା ରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସୁନ୍ନତ କରାଇଲେ।
And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

24 ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଅନେଶ୍ବତ ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲେ।
And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲଙ୍କେୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତରେ ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ହାଇେଥିଲା ସେତବେେଳେ ସେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲେ।
And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲେ ସହେି ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନ ରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲେ।
In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.
