ଶ ଲୋମନ ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ପିତା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଦୟାଳୁ ଥିଲ। ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ନ୍ଯାଯ ପଥରେ ୟାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ମହାଦୟା କରିଥିଲ। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାପାଇଁ ଏହି ମହାଦୟା ରଖିଅଛ ଯେ ଆଜିର ନ୍ଯାଯ ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ବସାଇଛ।

ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ନିଯମ ପାଳନ କରିବ, ତବେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଯାହା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ହବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଥିଲେ, 'ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ମନ ଓ ପ୍ରାଣ ସହିତ ମୁଁ ଦଇେଥିବା ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ଜୀବନ ଧାରଣ କରିବେ, ତବେେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶରୁ ବସିବ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ପୂରଣ କରିବେ।'

କବଳେ ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଚିତ୍ତରେ ଜୀବନ-ୟାପନ କରେ, ଭଲ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରେ ଓ ଅନ୍ତରରୁ ସତ୍ଯକଥା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରେ ସେ କବଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବତରେ ବାସ କରିପାରିବ।

ତେଣୁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ଦାସ ଦାଉଦକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏପରି କକ୍ସ୍ଟହ, 'ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ମିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲି। ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଗ୍ଭରଣ ଭୂମିରେ ମଷେପଲଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ପଛ ରେ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସରଣ କରୁଥିଲ। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନେତା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନଇେ ଆସିଲି।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରୀତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦ ସର୍ବଦା ଯଥାର୍ଥ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲେ। କବଳେ ହିତ୍ତୀଯ ଉରିଯର କଥା ଛଡା ଆଉ କୌଣସି ବିଷଯ ରେ ସେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନକାଳ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହାଇେ ନଥିଲେ।
