1 Yahweh said to Joshua, Don't be afraid, neither be dismayed: take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai; behold, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land;ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିହାଶୂେୟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ। ନିରାଶ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଅ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାତ୍ରା କର। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସହାୟ ହବେି, ଅଯର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସହେି ନଗର, ଏହାର ରାଜା ଓ ଏହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରିବି।

2 You shall do to Ai and her king as you did to Jericho and her king: only the spoil of it, and the cattle of it, shall you take for a prey to yourselves: set you an ambush for the city behind it.ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଯପ୍ରତି ସହେିପରି କର ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିରୀହାେ ଓ ତା'ର ରାଜା ପ୍ରତି କରିଥିଲ। ମାତ୍ର ଏଥର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଧନ, ଦୌଲତ୍ ଓ ପଶକ୍ସ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତ ରେ ବାଣ୍ଟି ନବେ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କିଛି ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଗର ପଛପଟେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଗ୍ଭଇ ରଖ।

3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up to Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand men, the mighty men of valor, and sent them forth by night.ତେଣୁ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ଦଳ ଅଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆଗଇେ ନେଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ତାଙ୍କର 30,000 ନିପୂଣ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଛିଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସହେି ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ।

4 He commanded them, saying, Behold, you shall lie in ambush against the city, behind the city; don't go very far from the city, but be all ready:ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦଇେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ କଥାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭଲ ଭାବରେ ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନଗର ବାହା ରେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହିବ। ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ସମୟ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିବ। ସହରଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୂରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବ ନାହିଁ। ସର୍ବଦା ପ୍ରସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ଥିବ ଏ ନଜର ରଖିଥିବ।

5 and I, and all the people who are with me, will approach to the city. It shall happen, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them;ମାେ ସହିତ ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନଯଗଣ ନଗର ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ସମାନେେ ଯେ ତବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିବେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲିପଡିବକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିକଟରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇବକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପୂର୍ବରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯେପରି କରିଥିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ।

6 and they will come out after us, until we have drawn them away from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: so we will flee before them;ସମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବେ ନଗର ବାହାରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ସମାନେେ ଭାବିବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଭୟ ରେ ପୂର୍ବଥର ପରି ଡରି ପଳାଇ ଯାଉଛକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇବକ୍ସ୍ଟ।

7 and you shall rise up from the ambush, and take possession of the city: for Yahweh your God will deliver it into your hand.ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହିଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାହାରି ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିଜ ନିଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣ ମଧ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅକ୍ତିଆର କରିବାକୁ ଦବେେ।

8 It shall be, when you have seized on the city, that you shall set the city on fire; according to the word of Yahweh shall you do: behold, I have commanded you.ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବ ଯାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆଦେଶ କରନ୍ତି। ମୁ ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିବି। ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ନିଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିବା ପରେ ସହେି ନଗର ରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ସଂୟୋଗ କର।

9 Joshua sent them forth; and they went to set up the ambush, and stayed between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.ଏହାପରେ ୟିହୋଶୂଯ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହିବା ସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ବୈଥଲେ ଏବଂ ଅଯର ମଧ୍ଯ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହିଲେ। ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନଟି ଥିଲା ଅଯର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ପଟ ରେ। ଏବଂ ୟିହୋଶୂଯମାନଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଠାେରେ ରାତ୍ରୟାପନ କଲେ।

10 Joshua arose up early in the morning, and mustered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.ତା'ପରଦିନ ପତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯଷରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ରିତ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଏବଂ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ନେତାଗଣ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଯ ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଗଇେ ନେଲେ।

11 All the people, [even] the [men of] war who were with him, went up, and drew near, and came before the city, and encamped on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between him and Ai.ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ଯେଉଁମାନେ କି ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଅଯ ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନଗରର ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ରହିଲେ। ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଛାଉଣୀ ଉତ୍ତର ପଟେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟତ କଲେ। ସୈନ୍ଯ ଛାଉଣୀ ଓ ଅଯର ମଧିଅରେ ଏକ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ମଧ୍ଯ ଥିଲା।

12 He took about five thousand men, and set them in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.ଏହାପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ 5,000 ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାଛିଲେ ଏବଂ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ନଗରର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ପଟେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନଟି ବୈଥେଲ୍ ଓ ଅଯର ମଝି ରେ ଥିଲା।

13 So they set the people, even all the host who was on the north of the city, and their liers-in-wait who were on the west of the city; and Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ହେଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମୂଖ୍ଯ ଛାଉଣୀ ନଗରର ଉତ୍ତର ପଟେ ରହିଲା। ଅନ୍ୟ ଦଳଟି ନଗରର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ପଟେ ରହିଲେ। ସହେି ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ମଧ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ।

14 It happened, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hurried and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at the time appointed, before the Arabah; but he didn't know that there was an ambush against him behind the city.ଯେତବେେଳେ ଅଯର ରାଜା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ଅଯର ରାଜା ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ତରବର ହାଇେ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ। ଅଯର ରାଜା ପୂର୍ବ ପଟ ରେ ଥିବା ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ। ସେ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ଯ କରି ନଥିଲେ ଯେ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ନଗରର ପଛ ପଟେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି।

15 Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନିକ ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପରାସ୍ତ ହେଲାପରି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଆଗ ରେ ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମି ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୌଡିଲେ।

16 All the people who were in the city were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.ତେଣୁ ନଗରର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପଛ ରେ ପାଟିକରି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇ ତାଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଦୌଡିଲେ। ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ନଗର ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଥିଲେ।

17 There was not a man left in Ai or Beth El, who didn't go out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.ଅଯର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଓ ବୈଥଲରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡଇ ଥିଲେ। ନଗର ରେ କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ନଥିଲେ ଯକେି ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାରିବେ।

18 Yahweh said to Joshua, Stretch out the javelin that is in your hand toward Ai; for I will give it into your hand. Joshua stretched out the javelin that was in his hand toward the city.ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ୟିହୋଶୂଯଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଅଯ ନଗର ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିକ୍ଷପେ କର। ଯେ ହତେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସହେି ନଗର ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରିବି। ତେଣୁ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ନିଜର ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ନଗର ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିକ୍ଷପେ କଲେ।

19 The ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand, and entered into the city, and took it; and they hurried and set the city on fire.ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚିବା ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସେ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ନିକ୍ଷପେ କରୁଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନଗର ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତରବର ହାଇେ ଦୌଡିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଏହିପରି ନଗର ମଧ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ ଓ ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିଜର ଆଯତାଧିନ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଗ୍ଭରିଆଡେ ଅଗ୍ନି ସଂୟୋଗ କଲେ।

20 When the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people who fled to the wilderness turned back on the pursuers.ଅଯର ଲୋକମାନେ ପଛକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲି ଦେଖିଲେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନଗର ନିଆଁ ରେ ଜଳକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଛି। ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଧୂଁଆ ଧାର ଆକାଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଛକ୍ସ୍ଟଉଁଛି, ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶକ୍ତି ଓ ସାହସ ହରାଇଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଆଉ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମି ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୌଡ଼ନ୍ତିକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିବା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆଉ ଆଗଇେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲି ପଡିଲେ ଓ ଅଯର ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ। ଅଯର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଉ ନିରାପଦ ସ୍ଥାନ ନଥିଲା।

21 When Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and killed the men of Ai.ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟଭବ କଲେ ଯେ, ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚିଥିବା ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ନଗରଟିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନିଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣ ମଧ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଇେ ଗଲଣେି। ସମାନେେ ଧୂଁଆର ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଆକାଶ ରେ ଦେଖିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପାଇଲେ। ଏଣୁ ସମାନେେ ଅଯର ସୈନ୍ଯ ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୌଡିଗଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କଲେ।

22 The others came forth out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they struck them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.ଏହାପରେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚିଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ଏହିପରି ଅଯର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଉଭୟ ପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଜଗି ଗଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଅଯର ଗୋଟିଏ ସୈନ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ଯ ଛାଡିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

23 The king of Ai they took alive, and brought him to Joshua.କିନ୍ତୁ ଅଯର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜୀବିତ ଅବସ୍ଥା ରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ।

24 It happened, when Israel had made an end of killing all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness in which they pursued them, and they were all fallen by the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all Israel returned to Ai, and struck it with the edge of the sword.ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ସମୟରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନିକମାନେ ଅଯ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇ କ୍ଷତେ ଓ ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମି ଅଞ୍ଚଳକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେିଠା ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଅଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେି ଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ଏଯ ସହର ରେ ଜୀବିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।

25 All that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.ସହେିଦିନ ଅଯର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ମଲେ। ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରାଯ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପୁରୁଷ ମିଶି 12,000 ଲୋକ ହବେେ।

26 For Joshua didn't draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the javelin, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.ଅଯ ନିବାସୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବର୍ଜିତ ରୂପେ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ୟାଏ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ନିଜ ହାତ ରେ ଧରିଥିବା ବର୍ଚ୍ଛାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟଚିତ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for prey to themselves, according to the word of Yahweh which he commanded Joshua.ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ଅଯ ସହର ରେ ସମସ୍ତ ପଶକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଓ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ନିଜ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ନେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଏପରି କଲେ, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏପରି କରିବାକୁ ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ।

28 So Joshua burnt Ai, and made it a heap forever, even a desolation, to this day.ଏହାପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଅଯ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପୋଡି଼ ପାଉଁଶ କଲେ। ସେ ଏକ ଧ୍ବଂସ ସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟପରେ ପରିଣତ କଲେ ଏବଂ ଏହା ଆଜିୟାଏଁ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟର୍ବର ସ୍ଥାନ ହାଇେ ରହିଛି।

29 The king of Ai he hanged on a tree until the evening: and at the going down of the sun Joshua commanded, and they took his body down from the tree, and cast it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raised thereon a great heap of stones, to this day.ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଅଯର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସଂନ୍ଧ୍ଯା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଗଛ ରେ ଝକ୍ସ୍ଟଲଇେ ରଖିଲେ। ସୂର୍ୟ୍ଯାସ୍ତ ପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେ ଶବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଛରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଶବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଗରର ପ୍ରବେଶ ଫାଟକ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ଫୋପାଡି ଦେଲେ ଏବଂ ତା' ଉପରେ ପଥର ଗଦା କଲେ। ତାହା ସଠାେରେ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅଛି।

30 Then Joshua built an altar to Yahweh, the God of Israel, in Mount Ebal,ଏହାପରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଏବଲ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ଏକ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେି ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।

31 as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of uncut stones, on which no man had lifted up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings to Yahweh, and sacrificed peace-offerings.ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସବେକ ମାଶାେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯେ ରୂପେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦଇେଥିଲେ, ସହେିପରି ଭାବରେ ମାଶାଙ୍କେର ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥର ଲଖାନେକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ୟହିଁ ଉପରେ କୌଣସି ମଣିଷ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟହା ଉଞ୍ଚାଇ ନାହିଁ। ଏପରି ଅଚଞ୍ଛା ପଥର ରେ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ସେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ହାମେ ଓ ମଙ୍ଗଳାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

32 He wrote there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote, in the presence of the children of Israel.ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ଫଳକ ଉପରେ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପୁସ୍ତକ ଲେଖିଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଖାଇବୋକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଏହା କଲେ, କାରଣ ତାହା

33 All Israel, and their elders and officers, and their judges, stood on this side of the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, as well the foreigner as the native; half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗ, ନତେୃବର୍ଗ, ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବିଗ୍ଭରକର୍ତ୍ତାଗଣ, ବିଦେଶୀଗଣ ଓ ଦେଶବାସୀ ପବିତ୍ର ସିନ୍ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟକ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ଛିଡା ହେଲ। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧକେ ଏବଲ ପର୍ବତ ଆଗ ରେ ଓ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧକେ ଗରିଷମ ପର୍ବତ ଆଗ ରେ ଛିଡା ହେଲ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ନିଯମ ସିନ୍ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟକବାହୀ ଲବେୀୟ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ସମାନେେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଏପରି କଲେ କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବେକ ମାଶାେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏପରି କରିବାକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦଇେଥିଲେ।

34 Afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.ଏହାପରେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପୁସ୍ତକକରେ ଲଖାୟୋଇଥିବା ଉଭୟ ଆଶିର୍ବାଦ ଓ ଅଭିଶାପ ବିଷଯକ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥାର ସମସ୍ତ ଶଦ୍ଦ ସେ ପାଠକଲେ।

35 There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua didn't read before all the assembly of Israel, and the women, and the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ସଠାେରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମସ୍ତ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକ, ପୁରୁଷ ଲୋକ, ପିଲାମାନେ, ଏବଂ ବିଦେଶୀମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ବିଦେଶୀମାନେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲଗଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଏବଂ ସଠାେରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସମସ୍ତ ନିଯମ ପାଠ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯାହାକି ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ଦ୍ବାରା ସ୍ଥାପିତ ହାଇେଥିଲା।
