John 8 - WEB (Oriya)

1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.ଯୀଶୁ ଜୀତ ପର୍ବତକୁ ଗଲେ।

2 Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ଅତି ସକାଳୁ ସେ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଫରେିଆସିଲେ। ସବୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସେ ବସି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲେ।

3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞମାନେ, ଶିକ୍ଷକମାନେ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକକୁ ସଠାେକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲକଟି ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କଲା ବେଳେ ଧରା ପଡିଥିଲା। ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ଠିଆ ହବୋ ପାଇଁ ବାଧ୍ଯ କଲେ।

4 they told him, "Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଗୁରୁ, ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟି ଜଣେ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କଲା ବେଳେ ଧରା ପଡିଛି। ସେ ପୁରୁଷ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାମୀ ନୁହେଁ।

5 Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. What then do you say about her?"ମାଶାଙ୍କେର ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଆଦେଶ ଦିଏ ଯେ ଏଭଳି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିବା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡି ମାରି ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ ବୋଲି ଆପଣ କହୁଛନ୍ତି?

6 They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.ଯିହୂଦୀୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ହଇରାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରୁଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଭୁଲ ଧରିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ। ତାହାହେଲେ ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆଣିପାରିବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଆଣ୍ଠଇେ ଆଙ୍ଗୁଳି ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ରେ ଭୂମି ଉପରେ କିଛି ଲେଖିବା ରେ ଲାଗିଲେ।

7 But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅବିରତ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବା ରେ ଲାଗିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ କହିଲେ, ଏଠା ରେ ଏଭଳି କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ୟିଏ କବେେ ପାପ କରି ନାହିଁ? ସହେିଭଳି ପାପ ନ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକ ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକକୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ପଥର ଫିଙ୍ଗୁ।

8 Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ପୁଣି ଆଣ୍ଠଇେ ଭୂଇଁ ରେ ଲେଖିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।

9 They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣୁଥିଲେ ସମାନେେ ସଠାରୁେ ଜଣ ଜଣ ହାଇେ ଚାଲି ଗଲେ। ଆଗେ ବୟସ୍କ ଲୋକେ ଓ ତା'ପରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ। କବଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଓ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟି ସଠାେରେ ରହିଗଲେ।

10 Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, "Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?"ଯୀଶୁ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଟକେି ତାହାକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସମାନେେ କୁଆଡେ ଗଲେ? କ'ଣ କହେି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ବୋଲି ବିଚାର କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

11 She said, "No one, Lord." Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more."ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟି ଉତ୍ତର ଦଲୋ, ନା, ପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କହେି ମାେତେ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ବୋଲି ବିଚାର କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

12 Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."ପରେ, ଯୀଶୁ ପୁଣି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଜଗତର ଆଲୋକ, ମାେତେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅନୁସରଣ କରେ, ସେ କବେେ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ରେ ଚାଲିବ ନାହିଁ। ସେ ଲୋକ ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରଦାନକାରୀ ଆଲୋକ ପାଇବ।

13 The Pharisees therefore said to him, "You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid."କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ହେଉଛ, ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କବଳେ ଏସବୁ କଥା ସତ୍ଯ ବୋଲି କହୁଛ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଏସବୁ କଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରିବୁ ନାହିଁ।

14 Jesus answered them, "Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don't know where I came from, or where I am going.ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ହଁ, ମୁଁ ମାେ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଏସବୁ କଥା କହୁଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଯାହା କହୁଛି, ଲୋକେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରି ପାରିବେ। କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ମୁଁ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି ଓ ମୁଁ କେଉଁଆଡେ ଯାଉଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭଳି ନୁହେଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ, ମୁଁ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି ଓ କେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯାଉଛି।

15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.ପୃଥିବୀର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଚାର କଲା ଭଳି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ବିଚାର କରୁଛ। ମୁଁ କାହାର ବିଚାର କରୁ ନାହିଁ।

16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଯଦି ବିଚାର କରେ, ତବେେ ମାେ ବିଚାର ଠିକ୍ ହୁଅନ୍ତା। କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଏକୁଟିଆ ନୁହେଁ, ମାେ ସହିତ ମାରେ ପ୍ ରରଣକେର୍ତ୍ତା ପରମପିତା ଅଛନ୍ତି।

17 It's also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଧି ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା କୁ ହେ ଯେ କୌଣସି ଘଟଣା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ଯଦି ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ସମାନ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ସମାନଙ୍କେ କଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ।

18 I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me."ମୁଁ ମାେ ନିଜ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ଜଣେ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ଓ ମାେତେ ପଠାଇଥିବା ପରମପିତା ମାରେ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ସାକ୍ଷୀ।

19 They said therefore to him, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also."ଲୋକମାନେ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତା କାହାନ୍ତି?

20 Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.ଯୀଶୁ ଏସବୁ କଥା ମନ୍ଦିର ପରିସର ରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଦଲୋ ବେଳେ କହିଲେ। ଦାନ ପାତ୍ର ରେ ଦାନ ପକାଉଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନ ନିକଟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ କହେି ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଉଚିତ ସମୟ ସପେର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଆସି ନଥିଲା।

21 Jesus said therefore again to them, "I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can't come."ଯୀଶୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଛାଡି ଚାଲିୟିବି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଖାଜେିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ ପାପ ସହିତ ମରିବ। ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଠାେକୁ ଯାଇପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।

22 The Jews therefore said, "Will he kill himself, that he says, 'Where I am going, you can't come?'"ତେଣୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ଯୀଶୁ କ'ଣ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ଯା କରିବେ? ସେଥିପାଇଁ କ'ଣ ସେ କହିଲେ ଯେ, 'ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯାଉଛି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଠାେକୁ ଆସି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ?'

23 He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସହେି ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବରୁ ଆସିଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏ ପୃଥିବୀର ଲୋକ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ପୃଥିବୀର ଲୋକ ନୁହେଁ।

24 I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିଥିଲି ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାପଗୁଡିକ ପାଇଁ ମରିବ। ମୁଁ ଯେ ସହେି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହା ବିଶ୍ବାସ ନ କଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜ ପାପଗୁଡିକ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମରିବ।

25 They said therefore to him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, "Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଏ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ।

26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world."ମାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଅନକେ କିଛି କହିବାକୁ ଅଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରିପା ରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମାରେ ପ୍ ରରଣକେର୍ତ୍ତା ମାେତେ ଯାହା କହି ପଠାଇଛନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ପୃଥିବୀର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା କହୁଛି ଏବଂ ସେ ସତ୍ଯ କହନ୍ତି।

27 They didn't understand that he spoke to them about the Father.ଯୀଶୁ କାହା ବିଷୟ ରେ କହୁଥିଲେ, ଏକଥା ଲୋକମାନେ ବୁଝି ନଥିଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ କହୁଥିଲେ।

28 Jesus therefore said to them, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବକୁ(ବଧକରିବାକୁ) ଉଠାଇବ। ସେତବେେଳେ ମୁଁ ଯେ ସହେି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝି ପାରିବ। ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ଯାହା କରୁଛି, ଏସବୁ ମାେ ନିଜ ଅଧିକାରରୁ କରୁ ନାହିଁ, ପରମପିତା ମାେତେ ଯାହା ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି ସହେି କଥା ଯେ କବଳେ ମୁଁ କହୁଛି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରେ ଜାଣି ପାରିବ।

29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn't left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."ମାେତେ ୟିଏ (ପରମେଶ୍ବର) ପଠାଇଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ମାେ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତାହାଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାଷଜେନକ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା କରେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ମାେତେ ଏକୁଟିଆ କରି ଛାଡି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।

30 As he spoke these things, many believed in him.ଯୀଶୁ ଏକଥା କହିଲା ବେଳେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଲେ।

31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ସବୁବେଳେ ମାନି ଚଳିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ଶିଷ୍ଯ ହବେ।

32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସତ୍ଯକୁ ଜାଣିବ ଓ ସହେି ସତ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବ।

33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, 'You will be made free?'"ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର। ଆମ୍ଭେ କବେେ ହେଲେ କ୍ରୀତଦାସ ହାଇେ ନାହୁଁ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି କହୁଛ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମୁକ୍ତ ହବେୁ?

34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପାପ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକ ହେଉଛି ଜଣେ କ୍ରୀତଦାସ। ପାପ ତା'ର ପ୍ରଭୁ।

35 A bondservant doesn't live in the house forever. A son remains forever.ଜଣେ କ୍ରୀତଦାସ ଗୋଟିଏ ପରିବାର ରେ ସର୍ବଦା ରହେ ନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଣେ ପୁତ୍ର ଗୋଟିଏ ପରିବାରଭୁକ୍ତ ହାଇେ ସବୁବେଳେ ରୁ ହେ।

36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.ତେଣୁ ଯଦି ସହେି ପୁତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମୁକ୍ତି ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ମୁକ୍ତି ପାଇବ।

37 I know that you are Abraham's seed, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ଚାହଁ, ଯେ ହତେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚାହଁନାହିଁ।

38 I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father."ମାେତେ ପରମପିତା ଯାହା ଦଖାଇେଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହୁଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଯାହା କହିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା କରୁଛ।

39 They answered him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା।

40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn't do this.ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶୁଣିଥିବା ସତ୍ଯ କଥା କହୁଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଛ। ଅବ୍ରାହାମ କିନ୍ତୁ ସପରେି କିଛି କରି ନଥିଲେ।

41 You do the works of your father." They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God."ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନିଜ ପିତା କରିଥିବା କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଗୁଡିକ କରୁଛ।

42 Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven't come of myself, but he sent me.ଯୀଶୁ ସହେି ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମପିତା, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଭଲ ପାଇବା ଉଚିତ। ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ ଆସିଛି ଓ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ଏଠା ରେ ଅଛି। ମୁଁ ମାେ କ୍ଷମତା ଅନୁସାରେ ଆସିନାହିଁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେତେ ଏଠାକୁ ପଠାଇଛନ୍ତି।

43 Why don't you understand my speech? Because you can't hear my word.ମୁଁ ଯାହା ସବୁ କହୁଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝି ପାରୁନାହଁ। ଏହାର କାରଣ ହେଲା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ଉପଦେଶ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ପାରୁ ନାହଁ।

44 You are of your Father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn't stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.ଶୟତାନ ହେଉଛି ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତା। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ଅଟ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଛ। ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ସେ ଜଣେ ଖୁନି। ସେ ସର୍ବଦା ସତ୍ଯର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ। ତା' ଭିତ ରେ କୌଣସି ସତ୍ଯତା ନାହିଁ। ସେ ତାର ସ୍ବଭାବରୁ ମିଛୁଆ। ସେ ମିଥ୍ଯାବାଦୀ, ସେ ମିଥ୍ଯାର ଜନ୍ମଦାତା।

45 But because I tell the truth, you don't believe me.ମୁଁ ସତ୍ଯ କ ହେ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁନାହଁ।

46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କହେି ଜଣେ ଏ କଥା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିପାରିବ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ପାପ ପାଇଁ ଦୋଷୀ? ଯଦି ମୁଁ ସତ୍ଯ କ ହେ, ତବେେ ମାେତେ କାହିଁକି ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁନାହଁ?

47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don't hear, because you are not of God."ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର, ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯାହା କହନ୍ତି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁ ନାହଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ନୁହଁ।

48 Then the Jews answered him, "Don't we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?"ୟିରୂଦୀମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହୁଛୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଣେ ଶମିରୋଣୀୟ। ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭିତ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୂତ ରହିଛି ଓ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପାଗଳ କରି ଦଇେଛି। ଆମ୍ଭର ଏହି କଥା କ'ଣ ଠିକ୍ ନୁହେଁ କି?

49 Jesus answered, "I don't have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମାେ ଭିତ ରେ ଭୂତ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ମାେ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦିଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦେଉ ନାହଁ।

50 But I don't seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ଜଣେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ୟିଏ ମାେ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମ୍ମାନ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି। ସେ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା।

51 Most assuredly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death."ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି, ଯଦି କହେି ମାେ ଉପଦେଶ ମାନେ, ତବେେ ସେ ଲୋକ କବେେ ମରିବ ନାହିଁ।

52 Then the Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, 'If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.'ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଜାଣିଲୁ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭିତ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୂତ ଅଛି। ଏପରିକି ଅବ୍ରାହାମ ମରିଥିଲେ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ମରିଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁଛ, 'ମାେ ଉପଦେଶ ମାନିବା ଲୋକ କଦାପି ମରିବ ନାହିଁ।'

53 Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?"ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ଭାବୁଛ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଅବ୍ରାହାମଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମହାନ୍? ଅବ୍ରାହାମ ତ' ମରିଗଲେ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ମରିଗଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ କିଏ ବୋଲି ଭାବୁଛ?

54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଯଦି ମୁଁ ନିଜକୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ସେ ସମ୍ମାନର କିଛି ମୂଲ୍ଯ ନାହିଁ। ମାେତେ ୟିଏ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସେ ମାରେ ପରିମପିତା। ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହୁଛ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବର।

55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, 'I don't know him,' I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ। ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ। ଯଦି ମୁଁ କ ହେ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ, ତବେେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭଳି ମିଥ୍ଯାବାଦୀ ହବେି। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅବଶ୍ଯ ଜାଣେ, ସେ ଯାହା କହନ୍ତି ମୁଁ ସଗେୁଡିକ ପାଳନ କରେ।

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad."ମାରେ ଆଗମନ ଦେଖି ପାରିବେ ବୋଲି ଆଶାକରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଅବ୍ରାହାମ ବହୁତ ଖୁସି ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ସହେି ଦିନଟି ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ଖୁସି ହେଲେ।

57 The Jews therefore said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, କ'ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅବ୍ରାହାମକୁ କଦାପି ଦେଖିନାହଁ! ତୁମ୍ଭର ବୟସ ତ ପଚାଶ ବର୍ଷ ବି ନୁହେଁ।

58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି, ଅବ୍ରାହାମଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ଅଛି।

59 Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through the midst of them, and so passed by.ଯୀଶୁ ଏକଥା କହିବା ବେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମାରିବା ପାଇଁ ପଥର ଉେଠଇଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଲୁଚି ଗଲେ ଓ ପରେ ମନ୍ଦିର ପରିସରରୁ ବାହାରି ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
