ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଓ ମହାମାରୀ ଦ୍ବାରା ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦଇେଥିଲୁ, ସହେିପରି ମିଶର ଦେଶ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ପ୍ରବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦବେି।

'ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନୁହେଁ, ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଜଗି ରହିବା। ମିଶର ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ୟୁହୁଦୀ ନିଃଶଷେ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଓ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷର ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଲାଗି ରହିବ।
Jeremiah 21:9
ଏବଂ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହି ନଗର ମଧିଅରେ ରହିବେ, ସମାନେେ ମରିବେ। ସମାନେେ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଓ ମହାମାରୀ ରେ ମରିବେ। ମାତ୍ର ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରୁଥିବା କଲ୍ଦୀଯମାନଙ୍କର ପକ୍ଷ ନିଅନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ବଞ୍ଚିବେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ସହେିମାନଙ୍କର ଜୀବନକୁ ସତେ ଯେପରି ଖଣ୍ଡେ ଲୁଣ୍ଠିତ ବସ୍ତୁ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।

ସମାନେେ ସଇେ ଭୂମିରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ, ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଓ ମହାମାରୀ ପଠାଇବା, ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଇେଥିଲି। ତହିଁରୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉଚ୍ଛନ୍ନ କରିବା।

ପୁଣି ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହି କତା କହନ୍ତି, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଉପ ରେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭର କୋର୍ଧ ଓ ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ କୋପ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲୁ, ସହେିପରି ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମିଶର ରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରିବେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି ଆମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ କୋପ ଢ଼ାଳିବା। ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ, ବିସ୍ମଯ, ଶାପଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଓ ନିନ୍ଦାର ପାତ୍ର ହବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।'
