וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ said va-yoh-meh-ROO אֵלָ֗יו unto ay-LAV הֲיָדֹ֤עַ him, huh-ya-DOH-ah תֵּדַע֙ Dost tay-DA כִּ֞י thou kee בַּעֲלִ֣יס׀ certainly ba-uh-LEES מֶ֣לֶךְ know MEH-lek בְּנֵֽי that beh-NAY עַמּ֗וֹן Baalis AH-mone שָׁלַח֙ the sha-LAHK אֶת king et יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל of yeesh-ma-ALE בֶּן the ben נְתַנְיָ֔ה Ammonites neh-tahn-YA לְהַכֹּתְךָ֖ leh-ha-koh-teh-HA נָ֑פֶשׁ hath NA-fesh וְלֹא sent veh-LOH הֶאֱמִ֣ין heh-ay-MEEN לָהֶ֔ם Ishmael la-HEM גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ the ɡeh-dahl-YA-hoo בֶּן son ben אֲחִיקָֽם׃ of uh-hee-KAHM
