בִּשְׁנַ֣ת the beesh-NAHT שָׁל֔וֹשׁ third sha-LOHSH לְמַלְכ֖וּת year leh-mahl-HOOT יְהוֹיָקִ֣ים of yeh-hoh-ya-KEEM מֶֽלֶךְ the MEH-lek יְהוּדָ֑ה reign yeh-hoo-DA בָּ֣א of ba נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֧ר Jehoiakim neh-voo-hahd-neh-TSAHR מֶֽלֶךְ king MEH-lek בָּבֶ֛ל of ba-VEL יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם Judah yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM וַיָּ֥צַר came va-YA-tsahr עָלֶֽיהָ׃ Nebuchadnezzar ah-LAY-ha -
וַיִּתֵּן֩ the va-yee-TANE אֲדֹנָ֨י Lord uh-doh-NAI בְּיָד֜וֹ gave beh-ya-DOH אֶת et יְהוֹיָקִ֣ים Jehoiakim yeh-hoh-ya-KEEM מֶֽלֶךְ king MEH-lek יְהוּדָ֗ה of yeh-hoo-DA וּמִקְצָת֙ Judah oo-meek-TSAHT כְּלֵ֣י into keh-LAY בֵית his vate הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים hand, ha-ay-loh-HEEM וַיְבִיאֵ֥ם with vai-vee-AME אֶֽרֶץ part EH-rets שִׁנְעָ֖ר of sheen-AR בֵּ֣ית the bate אֱלֹהָ֑יו vessels ay-loh-HAV וְאֶת of veh-ET הַכֵּלִ֣ים the ha-kay-LEEM הֵבִ֔יא house hay-VEE בֵּ֖ית of bate אוֹצַ֥ר God: oh-TSAHR אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ which ay-loh-HAIV -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר the va-YOH-mer הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ king ha-MEH-lek לְאַשְׁפְּנַ֖ז spake leh-ash-peh-NAHZ רַ֣ב unto rahv סָרִיסָ֑יו Ashpenaz sa-ree-SAV לְהָבִ֞יא the leh-ha-VEE מִבְּנֵ֧י master mee-beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל of yees-ra-ALE וּמִזֶּ֥רַע his oo-mee-ZEH-ra הַמְּלוּכָ֖ה eunuchs, ha-meh-loo-HA וּמִן that oo-MEEN הַֽפַּרְתְּמִֽים׃ he HA-pahr-teh-MEEM -
יְלָדִ֣ים in yeh-la-DEEM אֲשֶׁ֣ר whom uh-SHER אֵֽין was ane בָּהֶ֣ם no ba-HEM כָּל kahl מאוּם֩ blemish, moom וְטוֹבֵ֨י but veh-toh-VAY מַרְאֶ֜ה well mahr-EH וּמַשְׂכִּילִ֣ים favoured, oo-mahs-kee-LEEM בְּכָל and beh-HAHL חָכְמָ֗ה skilful hoke-MA וְיֹ֤דְעֵי in veh-YOH-deh-ay דַ֙עַת֙ all DA-AT וּמְבִינֵ֣י wisdom, oo-meh-vee-NAY מַדָּ֔ע and ma-DA וַאֲשֶׁר֙ cunning va-uh-SHER כֹּ֣חַ in KOH-ak בָּהֶ֔ם knowledge, ba-HEM לַעֲמֹ֖ד and la-uh-MODE בְּהֵיכַ֣ל understanding beh-hay-HAHL הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ science, ha-MEH-lek וּֽלֲלַמְּדָ֥ם and oo-luh-la-meh-DAHM סֵ֖פֶר such SAY-fer וּלְשׁ֥וֹן as oo-leh-SHONE כַּשְׂדִּֽים׃ had kahs-DEEM -
וַיְמַן֩ the vai-MAHN לָהֶ֨ם king la-HEM הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ appointed ha-MEH-lek דְּבַר them deh-VAHR י֣וֹם a yome בְּיוֹמ֗וֹ daily beh-yoh-MOH מִפַּת mee-PAHT בַּ֤ג provision bahɡ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ of ha-MEH-lek וּמִיֵּ֣ין the oo-mee-YANE מִשְׁתָּ֔יו king's meesh-TAV וּֽלְגַדְּלָ֖ם meat, oo-leh-ɡa-deh-LAHM שָׁנִ֣ים and sha-NEEM שָׁל֑וֹשׁ of sha-LOHSH וּמִ֨קְצָתָ֔ם the oo-MEEK-tsa-TAHM יַֽעַמְד֖וּ wine ya-am-DOO לִפְנֵ֥י which leef-NAY הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ he ha-MEH-lek -
וַיְהִ֥י among vai-HEE בָהֶ֖ם these va-HEM מִבְּנֵ֣י were mee-beh-NAY יְהוּדָ֑ה of yeh-hoo-DA דָּנִיֵּ֣אל the da-nee-YALE חֲנַנְיָ֔ה children huh-nahn-YA מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל of mee-sha-ALE וַעֲזַרְיָֽה׃ Judah, va-uh-zahr-YA -
וַיָּ֧שֶׂם whom va-YA-sem לָהֶ֛ם the la-HEM שַׂ֥ר prince sahr הַסָּרִיסִ֖ים of ha-sa-ree-SEEM שֵׁמ֑וֹת the shay-MOTE וַיָּ֨שֶׂם eunuchs va-YA-sem לְדָֽנִיֵּ֜אל gave leh-da-nee-YALE בֵּ֣לְטְשַׁאצַּ֗ר names: BAY-let-sha-TSAHR וְלַֽחֲנַנְיָה֙ for veh-la-huh-nahn-YA שַׁדְרַ֔ךְ he shahd-RAHK וּלְמִֽישָׁאֵ֣ל gave oo-leh-mee-sha-ALE מֵישַׁ֔ךְ unto may-SHAHK וְלַעֲזַרְיָ֖ה Daniel veh-la-uh-zahr-YA עֲבֵ֥ד the uh-VADE נְגֽוֹ׃ name neh-ɡOH -
וַיָּ֤שֶׂם Daniel va-YA-sem דָּנִיֵּאל֙ purposed da-nee-YALE עַל in al לִבּ֔וֹ his LEE-boh אֲשֶׁ֧ר heart uh-SHER לֹֽא that loh יִתְגָּאַ֛ל he yeet-ɡa-AL בְּפַתְבַּ֥ג would beh-faht-BAHɡ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ not ha-MEH-lek וּבְיֵ֣ין defile oo-veh-YANE מִשְׁתָּ֑יו himself meesh-TAV וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֙ with vai-va-KAYSH מִשַּׂ֣ר the mee-SAHR הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים portion ha-sa-ree-SEEM אֲשֶׁ֖ר of uh-SHER לֹ֥א the loh יִתְגָּאָֽל׃ king's yeet-ɡa-AL -
וַיִּתֵּ֤ן God va-yee-TANE הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ had ha-ay-loh-HEEM אֶת brought et דָּ֣נִיֵּ֔אל DA-nee-YALE לְחֶ֖סֶד Daniel leh-HEH-sed וּֽלְרַחֲמִ֑ים into oo-leh-ra-huh-MEEM לִפְנֵ֖י favour leef-NAY שַׂ֥ר and sahr הַסָּרִיסִֽים׃ tender ha-sa-ree-SEEM -
וַיֹּ֜אמֶר the va-YOH-mer שַׂ֤ר prince sahr הַסָּרִיסִים֙ of ha-sa-ree-SEEM לְדָ֣נִיֵּ֔אל the leh-DA-nee-YALE יָרֵ֤א eunuchs ya-RAY אֲנִי֙ said uh-NEE אֶת unto et אֲדֹנִ֣י Daniel, uh-doh-NEE הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ I ha-MEH-lek אֲשֶׁ֣ר fear uh-SHER מִנָּ֔ה mee-NA אֶת my et מַאֲכַלְכֶ֖ם lord ma-uh-hahl-HEM וְאֶת the veh-ET מִשְׁתֵּיכֶ֑ם king, meesh-tay-HEM אֲשֶׁ֡ר who uh-SHER לָמָּה֩ hath loh-MA יִרְאֶ֨ה appointed yeer-EH אֶת et פְּנֵיכֶ֜ם your peh-nay-HEM זֹֽעֲפִ֗ים meat zoh-uh-FEEM מִן and meen הַיְלָדִים֙ your hai-la-DEEM אֲשֶׁ֣ר drink: uh-SHER כְּגִֽילְכֶ֔ם for keh-ɡee-leh-HEM וְחִיַּבְתֶּ֥ם why veh-hee-yahv-TEM אֶת should et רֹאשִׁ֖י he roh-SHEE לַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ see la-MEH-lek -
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר said va-YOH-mer דָּנִיֵּ֖אל Daniel da-nee-YALE אֶל to el הַמֶּלְצַ֑ר Melzar, ha-mel-TSAHR אֲשֶׁ֤ר whom uh-SHER מִנָּה֙ the mee-NA שַׂ֣ר prince sahr הַסָּֽרִיסִ֔ים of ha-sa-ree-SEEM עַל the al דָּנִיֵּ֣אל eunuchs da-nee-YALE חֲנַנְיָ֔ה had huh-nahn-YA מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל set mee-sha-ALE וַעֲזַרְיָֽה׃ over va-uh-zahr-YA -
נַס nahs נָ֥א thy na אֶת servants, et עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ I uh-va-DAY-ha יָמִ֣ים beseech ya-MEEM עֲשָׂרָ֑ה thee, uh-sa-RA וְיִתְּנוּ ten veh-yee-teh-NOO לָ֜נוּ days; LA-noo מִן and meen הַזֵּרֹעִ֛ים let ha-zay-roh-EEM וְנֹאכְלָ֖ה them veh-noh-heh-LA וּמַ֥יִם give oo-MA-yeem וְנִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ us veh-neesh-TEH -
וְיֵרָא֤וּ let veh-yay-ra-OO לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ our leh-fa-NAY-HA מַרְאֵ֔ינוּ countenances mahr-A-noo וּמַרְאֵה֙ be oo-mahr-A הַיְלָדִ֔ים looked hai-la-DEEM הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים upon ha-OH-heh-LEEM אֵ֖ת before ate פַּתְבַּ֣ג thee, paht-BAHɡ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ and ha-MEH-lek וְכַאֲשֶׁ֣ר the veh-ha-uh-SHER תִּרְאֵ֔ה countenance teer-A עֲשֵׂ֖ה of uh-SAY עִם the eem עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃ children uh-va-DAY-ha -
וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע he va-yeesh-MA לָהֶ֖ם consented la-HEM לַדָּבָ֣ר to la-da-VAHR הַזֶּ֑ה them ha-ZEH וַיְנַסֵּ֖ם in vai-na-SAME יָמִ֥ים this ya-MEEM עֲשָׂרָֽה׃ matter, uh-sa-RA -
וּמִקְצָת֙ at oo-meek-TSAHT יָמִ֣ים the ya-MEEM עֲשָׂרָ֔ה end uh-sa-RA נִרְאָ֤ה of neer-AH מַרְאֵיהֶם֙ ten mahr-ay-HEM ט֔וֹב days tove וּבְרִיאֵ֖י their oo-veh-ree-A בָּשָׂ֑ר countenances ba-SAHR מִן appeared meen כָּל fairer kahl הַיְלָדִ֔ים and hai-la-DEEM הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים fatter ha-OH-heh-LEEM אֵ֖ת in ate פַּתְבַּ֥ג flesh paht-BAHɡ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ than ha-MEH-lek -
וַיְהִ֣י Melzar vai-HEE הַמֶּלְצַ֗ר took ha-mel-TSAHR נֹשֵׂא֙ away noh-SAY אֶת et פַּתְבָּגָ֔ם the paht-ba-ɡAHM וְיֵ֖ין portion veh-YANE מִשְׁתֵּיהֶ֑ם of meesh-tay-HEM וְנֹתֵ֥ן their veh-noh-TANE לָהֶ֖ם meat, la-HEM זֵרְעֹנִֽים׃ and zay-reh-oh-NEEM -
וְהַיְלָדִ֤ים for veh-hai-la-DEEM הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ these ha-A-LEH אַרְבַּעְתָּ֔ם four ar-ba-TAHM נָתַ֨ן children, na-TAHN לָהֶ֧ם God la-HEM הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים gave ha-ay-loh-HEEM מַדָּ֥ע them ma-DA וְהַשְׂכֵּ֖ל knowledge veh-hahs-KALE בְּכָל and beh-HAHL סֵ֣פֶר skill SAY-fer וְחָכְמָ֑ה in veh-hoke-MA וְדָנִיֵּ֣אל all veh-da-nee-YALE הֵבִ֔ין learning hay-VEEN בְּכָל and beh-HAHL חָז֖וֹן wisdom: ha-ZONE וַחֲלֹמֽוֹת׃ and va-huh-loh-MOTE -
וּלְמִקְצָת֙ at oo-leh-meek-TSAHT הַיָּמִ֔ים the ha-ya-MEEM אֲשֶׁר end uh-SHER אָמַ֥ר of ah-MAHR הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ the ha-MEH-lek לַהֲבִיאָ֑ם days la-huh-vee-AM וַיְבִיאֵם֙ that vai-vee-AME שַׂ֣ר the sahr הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים king ha-sa-ree-SEEM לִפְנֵ֖י had leef-NAY נְבֻכַדְנֶצַּֽר׃ said neh-voo-hahd-neh-TSAHR -
וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר the vai-da-BARE אִתָּם֮ king ee-TAHM הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ communed ha-meh-lek וְלֹ֤א with veh-LOH נִמְצָא֙ them; neem-TSA מִכֻּלָּ֔ם and mee-koo-LAHM כְּדָנִיֵּ֣אל among keh-da-nee-YALE חֲנַנְיָ֔ה them huh-nahn-YA מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל all mee-sha-ALE וַעֲזַרְיָ֑ה was va-uh-zahr-YA וַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּ found va-ya-am-DOO לִפְנֵ֥י none leef-NAY הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ like ha-MEH-lek -
וְכֹ֗ל in veh-HOLE דְּבַר֙ all deh-VAHR חָכְמַ֣ת matters hoke-MAHT בִּינָ֔ה of bee-NA אֲשֶׁר wisdom uh-SHER בִּקֵּ֥שׁ and bee-KAYSH מֵהֶ֖ם understanding, may-HEM הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ that ha-MEH-lek וַֽיִּמְצָאֵ֞ם the va-yeem-tsa-AME עֶ֣שֶׂר king EH-ser יָד֗וֹת inquired ya-DOTE עַ֤ל of al כָּל them, kahl הַֽחַרְטֻמִּים֙ he ha-hahr-too-MEEM הָֽאַשָּׁפִ֔ים found ha-ah-sha-FEEM אֲשֶׁ֖ר them uh-SHER בְּכָל ten beh-HAHL מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃ times mahl-hoo-TOH -
