କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବାଧା ଦେଲେ ଓ ନାନା ଖରାପ କଥାକହିଲେ, ପାଉଲ ଏହାର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ନିଜର ଲୁଗାପଟାର ଧୂଳି ଝାଡ଼ି ଦେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଉନାହଁ ତାହାହେଲେ ଏହା ମାରେ ଦୋଷ ନୁହେଁ। ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତ ଚେ଼ଷ୍ଟା କରି ସାରିଛି। ମୁଁ ଏବଠାରୁେ ଅଣଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ୟିବି।

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

And when they opposed themselves and blasphemed, he shook out his raiment and said unto them, Your blood `be' upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
