2 Samuel 24:17
ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଣି ଦାଉଦ ସହେି ଲୋକ ସଂହାରକ ଦୂତକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦେଖି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ମୁ ପାପ କଲି ଓ ମୁ ହିଁ ଅପରାଧି ହଲିେ। ମାତ୍ର ଏହି ମଷଗେଣ କ'ଣ କଲେ? ବିନଯ କରୁଅଛି ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତ ମାେ' ପ୍ରତିକୂଳ ରେ ଓ ମାେ' ପିତୃଗୃହର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳ ରେ ହେଉ।

| the angel | הַמַּלְאָ֣ךְ׀ | hammalʾāk | ha-mahl-AK |
| smote that | הַמַּכֶּ֣ה | hammakke | ha-ma-KEH |
| the people, | בָעָ֗ם | bāʿām | va-AM |
| and said, | וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-MER |
| Lo, | הִנֵּ֨ה | hinnē | hee-NAY |
| I | אָֽנֹכִ֤י | ʾānōkî | ah-noh-HEE |
| have sinned, | חָטָ֙אתִי֙ | ḥāṭāʾtiy | ha-TA-TEE |
| and I | וְאָֽנֹכִ֣י | wĕʾānōkî | veh-ah-noh-HEE |
| wickedly: done have | הֶֽעֱוֵ֔יתִי | heʿĕwêtî | heh-ay-VAY-tee |
| but these | וְאֵ֥לֶּה | wĕʾēlle | veh-A-leh |
| sheep, | הַצֹּ֖אן | haṣṣōn | ha-TSONE |
| what | מֶ֣ה | me | meh |
| done? they have | עָשׂ֑וּ | ʿāśû | ah-SOO |
| let thine hand, | תְּהִ֨י | tĕhî | teh-HEE |
| thee, pray I | נָ֥א | nāʾ | na |
| be | יָֽדְךָ֛ | yādĕkā | ya-deh-HA |
