1 It happened after this, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them some of the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.ପରେ ମାୟୋବୀଯ, ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟ ଓ କେତକେ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟ ଲୋକ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ।

2 Then there came some who told Jehoshaphat, saying, There comes a great multitude against you from beyond the sea from Syria; and, behold, they are in Hazazon Tamar (the same is En Gedi).କିଛି ଲୋକ ଆସି ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଇଦୋମରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଏକ ବୃହତ୍ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମୃତସାଗର ରେ ଅପର ପାଶର୍‌ବରୁ ଆସୁଅଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ହତସସୋନ୍-ତାମର ରେ ଆସି ପୁରାପୁରି ପହଞ୍ଚି ସାରିଲଣେି। (ହତସସୋନ-ତାମରକୁ ଐନ୍ ଗଦୀ ବୋଲି ମଧ୍ଯ କୁହାଯାଉଥିଲା।)

3 Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek to Yahweh; and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଭୟଭୀତ ହାଇପେଡ଼ିଲେ ଓ କ'ଣ କରିବାକୁ ହବେ, ତାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପଚାରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ, ସେ ସାରା ଯିହୁଦା ରେ ଉପବାସର ସମୟ ଘୋଷଣା କଲେ।

4 Judah gathered themselves together, to seek [help] of Yahweh: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek Yahweh.ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ମାଗିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକତ୍ର ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଲୋଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ସବୁ ସହରରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ।

5 Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of Yahweh, before the new court;ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ନୂତନ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଉଠି ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।

6 and he said, Yahweh, the God of our fathers, aren't you God in heaven? and aren't you ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? and in your hand is power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.ସେ କହିଲେ,

7 Did not you, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it to the seed of Abraham your friend forever?ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଦେଶର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଳପୂର୍ବକ ତଡି ଦଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି କର୍ମ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ କଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦେଶ ଦଇେଅଛ। ଅବ୍ରହାମ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବନ୍ଧୁ ଥିଲେ।

8 They lived therein, and have built you a sanctuary therein for your name, saying,ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧରମାନେ ଏହି ଦେଶ ରେ ବାସ କଲେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ,

9 If evil come on us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house, and before you, (for your name is in this house), and cry to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୌଣସି ବିପଦ ଯେପରି ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦଣ୍ଡ, ରୋଗ ବା ମରୁଡ଼ି ଘଟେ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଠିଆ ହବେୁ। ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ତୁମ୍ଭର ନାମ ବହନ କରେ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବିପଦ ରେ ପଡ଼ୁ, ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ଡ଼ାକ ପକାଇବୁ। ତା'ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଡ଼ାକ ଶୁଣିବ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବ।'

10 Now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned aside from them, and didn't destroy them;କିନ୍ତୁ ଦେଖ, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଅମ୍ ନୋନ, ମାୟୋବ୍ ଓ ସଯେୀର ପର୍ବତ ନିକଟର ଲୋକମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ମିଶରରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଦେଶ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାକୁ ଦଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ପଳାଇଗଲେ ଓ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କଲ ନାହିଁ।

11 behold, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.କିନ୍ତୁ ଦେଖ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କିପରି ପାରିଶ୍ରମିକ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦେଶରୁ ବଳପୂର୍ବକ ବାହାର କରିଦବୋକୁ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଦେଶ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଇେଥିଲା।

12 Our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but out eyes are on you.ହେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦିଅ। ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ବୃହତ୍ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ଶକ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। କ'ଣ କରିବାକୁ ହବେ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣି ନାହୁଁ। ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଲୋଡ଼ୁଅଛୁ।

13 All Judah stood before Yahweh, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଶିଶୁ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଇେ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଥିଲେ।

14 Then on Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of Yahweh in the midst of the assembly;ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ମଣ୍ଡଳ ମଧିଅରେ ୟିଯଯଲଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠିତ ହେଲେ। ୟିଯଯଲେ ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ଜିଖରିଯ ବନାଯଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ବନାଯ ୟହସୀଯଲଙ୍କେ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ୟହସୀଯଲେ ମତ୍ତାନିଯଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ୟିଯଯଲେ ଜଣେ ଲବେୀୟ ଓ ଆସଫ୍ଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର ଥିଲେ।

15 and he said, Listen you, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat: Thus says Yahweh to you, Don't be afraid you, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.ୟିଯଯଲେ କହିଲେ, ରାଜା ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍, ଯିହୁଦା ଏବଂ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ମାେ କଥା ଶୁଣ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହିକଥା କହନ୍ତି : ଏହି ବୃହତ୍ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଭୀତ କିମ୍ବା ବିବ୍ରତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଏହି ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ତୁମ୍ଭର ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ନୁହେଁ, ଏହା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ଅଟେ।

16 Tomorrow go you down against them: behold, they come up by the ascent of Ziz; and you shall find them at the end of the valley, before the wilderness of Jeruel.ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଠାେକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ୟାଅ ଓ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କର। ସମାନେେ ସୀସ୍ ନାମକ ଗିରିପଥ ମଧ୍ଯଦଇେ ଆସିବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଯରେୁଯଲେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଗିରିପଥ ନିକଟରେ, ଶଷେମୁଣ୍ଡ ରେ ପାଇବ।

17 You shall not need to fight in this [battle]: set yourselves, stand you still, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; don't be afraid, nor be dismayed: tomorrow go out against them: for Yahweh is with you.ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ଦରକାର ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଦୃଢ଼ ହାଇେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବେ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜେ ଦେଖିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନେ, ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, ବିବ୍ରତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଏଣୁ ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ବାହାରି ୟାଅ।'

18 Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before Yahweh, worshipping Yahweh.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ତଳକୁ ମୁହଁ କରି ମଥାନତ କଲେ। ଆଉ ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମବାସୀମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ମଥାନତ କଲେ। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବୋ କଲେ।

19 The Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites, stood up to praise Yahweh, the God of Israel, with an exceeding loud voice.କହାତୀଯ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗର ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ଓ କୋରହ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସାଗାନ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅତି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସାଗାନ କରୁଥିଲେ।

20 They rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in Yahweh your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ପ୍ରଭାତ ରେ ତକୋଯର ମରୁଭୂମି ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ୟାତ୍ରା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟାତ୍ରାରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଉଠି ଠିଆ ହେଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ମାେ' କଥା ଶୁଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ରଖ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦୃଢ଼ ରୂପେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ପାରିବ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ରଖ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କୃତକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହବେ।

21 When he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who should sing to Yahweh, and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army, and say, Give thanks to Yahweh; for his loving kindness endures forever.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣିଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସେ ଗାଯକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସାଗାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କଲେ, ସମାନେେ ପବିତ୍ର ଚୋଗା ପରିଧାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସାଗାନ କରି ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ୟାତ୍ରା କଲେ। ଗାଯକମାନେ ଏହି ଗୀତ ଗାଉଥିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ଯବାଦ ଦିଅ, କାରଣ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ ରମେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାଯୀ।

22 When they began to sing and to praise, Yahweh set liers-in-wait against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were struck.ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଓ ଗାନ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅମ୍ମାନେ, ମାୟୋବ ଓ ସଯେୀର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯାଞ୍ଚଳର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଉପରେ ଅତର୍କିତ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରାଇଲେ। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରହାରିତ ହେଲେ।

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, utterly to kill and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy another.ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟ ଓ ମାୟୋବୀଯମାନେ ସଯେୀର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯାଞ୍ଚଳର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଦେଲେ। ଅମ୍ନୋନୀଯ ଓ ମାୟୋବୀଯମାନେ ସଯେୀର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯାଞ୍ଚଳର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା ଓ ବିନାଶ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସଯେୀରର୍ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପରେ, ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।

24 When Judah came to the watch-tower of the wilderness, they looked at the multitude; and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and there were none who escaped.ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକେ ମରୁଭୂମି ପ୍ରହରୀ ଦୁର୍ଗ ରେ ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଶତ୍ରୁ ପକ୍ଷର ବୃହତ୍ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳକୁ ଖାଜେି ବୁଲିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ କବଳେ ମୃତ ଶରୀରଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଭୂମି ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ି ରହିଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ଜଣେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଜୀବିତ ନ ଥିଲା।

25 When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches and dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much.ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ମୃତ ଶରୀରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ନିକଟରୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ପଦାର୍ଥସବୁ ଲୁଟି ନବୋକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅନକେ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ପାଇଲେ। ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ସହେି ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ନିଜ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନେଲେ। ସହେି ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ବହନ କରିବାର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ଯଠାରୁ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅଧିକ ଥିଲା। ମୃତ ଶରୀରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ନିକଟରୁ ସହେି ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ କାଢିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତିନିଦିନ ଲାଗିଲା, କାରଣ ତାହା ପ୍ରଚୁର ଥିଲା।

26 On the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Beracah; for there they blessed Yahweh: therefore the name of that place was called The valley of Beracah to this day.ଚତୁର୍ଥ ଦିନ ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ବରାଖା ଉପତ୍ୟକା ରେ ମିଳିତ ହେଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ବରଖା ଉପତ୍ୟକା ହାଇେଅଛି।

27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for Yahweh had made them to rejoice over their enemies.ତା'ପରେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଫରୋଇ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଇଗେଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା କରିଥିଲେ, ସେଥି ରେ ସମାନେେ ବହୁତ ଖୁସି ହେଲେ।

28 They came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets to the house of Yahweh.ସମାନେେ ବୀଣା ବଜାଇ, ସୀତାର ବଜାଇ ଓ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିର ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଗଲେ।

29 The fear of God was on all the kingdoms of the countries, when they heard that Yahweh fought against the enemies of Israel.ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାରୁ ସବୁ ଦେଶ ଓ ରାଜ୍ଯର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ।

30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet; for his God gave him rest round about.ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଶାନ୍ତି ଲାଭ କଲା। ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାଙ୍କର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।

31 Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଯିହୁଦା ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ବ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ 35 ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜତ୍ବ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଅସୂବା। ଅସୂବା ଶିଲ୍ହିରଙ୍କ କନ୍ଯା ଥିଲେ।

32 He walked in the way of Asa his father, and didn't turn aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଆସାଙ୍କ ପରି ଉତ୍ତମ ପଥରେ ଜୀବନୟାପନ କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଯାହା ଯଥାର୍ଥ, ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ସହେିପରି କର୍ମ କଲେ।

33 However the high places were not taken away; neither as yet had the people set their hearts to the God of their fathers.କିନ୍ତୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହାଇେ ନ ଥିଲା। ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ହାଇେଥିଲେ।

34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the history of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is inserted in the book of the kings of Israel.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଆଉ ଯେଉଁସବୁ କର୍ମ କରିଥିଲେ, ସହେିସବୁ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଶଷେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ହନାନିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯହେୂଙ୍କର ସରକାରୀ ଦଲିଲ ରେ ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହାଇେ ରହିଅଛି। ଏହି ବିଷଯଗୁଡ଼ିକର ନକଲ କରାଗଲା ଓ ତାହାକୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକର ଅନ୍ତଭୁର୍କ୍ତ କରାଗଲା।

35 After this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel; the same did very wickedly:ପରେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍, ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକ ଚୁକ୍ତି କଲେ। ଅହସିଯ ମନ୍ଦ କର୍ମ କଲେ।

36 and he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Ezion Geber.ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଳି ତର୍ଶୀଶ୍ ସହରକୁ ଯାଉଥିବା ଜାହାଜମାନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଇତ୍ସିୟୋନ-ଗବେର୍ ସହର ରେ ଜାହାଜ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।

37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined yourself with Ahaziah, Yahweh has destroyed your works. The ships were broken, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.ଏହାପରେ ଇଲୀଯଷେର ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତବାଣୀ କଲେ। ଇଲୀଯଷେର୍ଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଦୋଦବାହୁ। ଇଲୀଯଷେର ମା ରଶାେ ସହରନିବାସୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ସହିତ ୟୋଗ ଦଲେ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବେ। ସବୁ ଜାହାଜଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଗଲା, ତେଣୁ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଓ ଅହସିଯ ସଗେୁଡ଼ିକୁ ତର୍ଶୀଶକୁ ପଠାଇ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
