ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଯିହୁଦା ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ବ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ 35 ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜତ୍ବ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଅସୂବା। ଅସୂବା ଶିଲ୍ହିରଙ୍କ କନ୍ଯା ଥିଲେ।
