ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ। ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ବୈଥଲ, ୟିଶାନା ଓ ଇଫ୍ରୋନ୍ ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦଖଲ କରି ନେଲେ। ସହେି ସହର ଓ ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକର ନିକଟରେ ଥିବା କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗ୍ରାମଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ଅଧିକାର କରି ନେଲେ।

ଆସା ଓବେଦ୍ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଶୁଣି ଉତ୍ସାହ ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଲେ। ଆସା ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ୍ର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯମଯ ଦେଶର ଯେଉଁ ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅଧିକାର କରିଥିଲେ, ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକରୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେି ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବାହାର କରି ଦେଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ବାରଣ୍ଡା ସମ୍ମୁଖସ୍ଥ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀକୁ ମରାମତି କଲେ।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବନ୍ଦ କର ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡଅ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପଛରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କର। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନଗର ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି।

ସମାନେେ ଦବୀର ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିଜର କରଗତ କଲେ, ତାହାର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ଯ କରଗତ କଲେ। ଏବଂ ତା'ର ନିକଟରେ ଥିବା େଛାଟ ସହରଗୁଡିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ନିଜ ଅଧିନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ। ଏବଂ ସେ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। କାହାରିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜୀବିତ ଛାଡିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଓ ଲିବ୍ନା ଓ ଏହାର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କଲାପରି, ଦବୀର ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସହେିପରି ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ।

ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜକୀଯ ସହରଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ନିଜ ଅଧିନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସଐୂର୍ଣ ଭାବେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଏହି ସହର ରାଜାଗଣଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସବେକ ମାଶାେ ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଖାେଲାଖାଲିେ ଭାବରେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିବା ବନ୍ଦ କରି ଦେଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୂଶାଲମ ଛାଡି ମରୁଭୂମି ପାଖଥିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ। ସହେି ସହରର ନାମ ଏଫ୍ରଯିମ। ସେ ସଠାେରେ ନିଜ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିଲେ।
