କିନ୍ତୁ ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋପନ ରେ ୟିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଦଳ ସୈନ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ୟିହୁଦୀଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ଲୁଚି ରହିଥିବା ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ରେ ଥିଲେ।

କିନ୍ତୁ ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋପନ ରେ ୟିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଦଳ ସୈନ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ୟିହୁଦୀଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ଲୁଚି ରହିଥିବା ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ରେ ଥିଲେ।
