ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ମିଶର ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବା ପରେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ବର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ଓ ସିବ୍ ନାମକ ବର୍ଷର ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ମାସ ରେ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମାନାର୍ଥେ 480 ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଲାଗିଲା।

ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ମାରେିଯା ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଶଲୋମନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିରର ନିର୍ମାଣ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ। ଏହି ମାରେିଯା ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ବାପା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆବିର୍ଭାବ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିଥିଲେ, ଶଲୋମନ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନଟି ୟିବୂଷୀଯ ଅରୁଣାହଃ ଗହମ ଦଳନ ସ୍ଥାନ ଥିଲା।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ କବଳେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କର। ଜୀବନ ଓ ଶକ୍ତି ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆ ସେ। ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଆ ଯାଇଛି। ସହେି ସତ୍ଯ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୃଢ଼ ଆସ୍ଥା ରହିଥିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସବୁବେଳେ ଧନ୍ଯବାଦ ଦେଉଥାଅ।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣି ରଖିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ଅଟେ। ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଅନ୍ତର ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପାଇଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜେ ନିଜର ନୁହଁ।

ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ଦିଅ ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ଏହାକୁ ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧିଅରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ଦବେି।
