Proverbs 26 - YLT (Nepali)

1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, So honour `is' not comely for a fool.ग्रीष्म ऋतुमा हिउँ र्बषनु राम्रो होइन, बाली काटूने समयमा पानी र्बषनु ठीक होइन अनि त्यसरी नै मूर्खलाई सम्मान गर्नु अनुचित हो।

2 As a bird by wandering, as a swallow by flying, So reviling without cause doth not come.तिमीले कसैको हानी नगरी उसले तिमीलाई सराप्छ भने उसको त्यो श्राप तिमी माथिबाट कुनै चंचल चरा उडेर गए जस्तै हो।

3 A whip is for a horse, a bridle for an ass, And a rod for the back of fools.जसरी घोडा चाबुकले काबुमा आउँछ, खच्चर लगामले आउँछ, त्यसरीनै एकजना मूर्ख डण्डाले काबूमा आउँछ।

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, Lest thou be like to him -- even thou.मूर्खलाई त्यसको मूर्खता अनुसारको उत्तर नदेऊ, नत्रभने तिमी पनि मूर्ख हुनेछौ।

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.एउटा मूर्खलाई उसको मूर्खतापूर्ण उत्तर देऊ तर पनि उसले आफैंलाई ज्ञानी सम्झिन्छ।

6 He is cutting off feet, he is drinking injury, Who is sending things by the hand of a fool.मूर्खलाई दूत बनाई पठाउनु, आफ्नो घुँडामा बन्चरोले हान्नु अथवा जानी-जानी विपद ल्याउनु जस्तो हुन्छ।

7 Weak have been the two legs of the lame, And a parable in the mouth of fools.मूर्खको मुखमा एउटा हितोपदेश हुनु लङ्गडो मानिसका झुण्डिएका लुला गोडा जस्तै हो।

8 As one who is binding a stone in a sling, So `is' he who is giving honour to a fool.मूर्खलाई सम्मान गर्नु त्यति नै खराब हो जति एउटा घुयेंत्रोमा ढुङ्गा बाँध्नु हो।

9 A thorn hath gone up into the hand of a drunkard, And a parable in the mouth of fools.मूर्खले केही हितोपदेश कुरा गर्न चाहानु, मातेर चुर भएको मानिसले हातमा बिजेको काँडा निकाल्नु खोज्नु जस्तै हो।

10 Great `is' the Former of all, And He is rewarding a fool, And is rewarding transgressors.कुनै मूर्खलाई अथवा नचिनेको मानिसलाई काम अह्राउनु विपद मोल्नु हो। तिमीलाई थाहा हुँदैन कता नोक्सान हुन्छ।

11 As a dog hath returned to its vomit, A fool is repeating his folly.कुकुरले केही खाएर बिमार भयो भने त्यसले उल्टी गर्छ औ केही समय पछि त्यही उल्टी खान्छ। मूर्ख मानिस पनि त्यस्तै हो औ त्यसले पनि एउटै काम घरी-घरी गरिरहन्छ।

12 Thou hast seen a man wise in his own eyes, More hope of a fool than of him!यदि कोही मानिस ज्ञानी होइन तर आफैंलाई ज्ञानी मान्छ भने त्यो जत्तिको मूर्ख अर्को हुँदैन।ज्

13 The slothful hath said, `A lion `is' in the way, A lion `is' in the broad places.'अल्छेले भन्छ, “सडकमा सिंह बसेकोछ, यसकारण म घरबाट निस्कन सक्तिनँ।”

14 The door turneth round on its hinge, And the slothful on his bed.अल्छे मानिस कही जाँदैन, ढोका आफ्नो कब्जामा अल्झेर यता उति भइरहेको झैं, अल्छे आफ्नो ओछ्यानमा यता उति पल्टि रहन्छ।

15 The slothful hath hid his hand in a dish, He is weary of bringing it back to his mouth.अल्छे मानिसलाई यति अल्छी लाग्छ कि उसलाई आफ्नो थालबाट गाँस उठाउनु पनि गाह्रो पर्छ।

16 Wiser `is' the slothful in his own eyes, Than seven `men' returning a reason.एउटा अल्छेले आफैंलाई बुद्धिमान सम्झन्छ। उसले आफैंलाई विवेकपूर्ण जवाफ दिने ती सात जाना बुद्धिमान मानिसहरू भन्दा पनि ज्ञानी सम्झन्छ।

17 Laying hold on the ears of a dog, `Is' a passer-by making himself wrath for strife not his own.दुईजना मानिसहरूको विवादमा पक्ष लिनु त्यति नै विपद जनक हो जति गल्लीमा कुकुरको कान तानेर हिडनु।

18 As `one' pretending to be feeble, Who is casting sparks, arrows, and death,छिमेकीलाई धोका दिनु अनि त्यस पछि त्यो मैले दिल्लगी गरेको”

19 So hath a man deceived his neighbour, And hath said, `Am not I playing?'भनेर भन्ने मानिस एकजना पागल मानिस जसले प्राणनाशक काँडहरू हान्छ।

20 Without wood is fire going out, And without a tale-bearer, contention ceaseth,जसरी दाउराविना आगो बल्दैन त्यसरी नै बदनाम गराउनेलाई हटाइन्छ भने झगडा आफैं अन्त हुनेछ।

21 Coal to burning coals, and wood to fire, And a man of contentions to kindle strife.जस्तो कोइलाले अंगारलाई अनि दाउराले ज्वालालाई चम्काउँछ त्यस्तै झगडालु मानिसले झगडा चम्काउँछ।

22 The words of a tale-bearer `are' as self-inflicted wounds, And they have gone down `to' the inner parts of the heart.बद्नाम गराउने शब्दहरू त्यतिकै स्वादिष्ट हुन्छन् जतिको मानिसहरूको पेटमा जाने भोजन हुन्छ।

23 Silver of dross spread over potsherd, `Are' burning lips and an evil heart.माटोको भाँडोमा चाँदीको जलप लगाएझैं दुष्ट जाली मानिसको ओंठमा चिप्लो कुरा हुन्छ।

24 By his lips doth a hater dissemble, And in his heart he placeth deceit,द्वेषपूर्ण मानिसले उसका मिठा कुराहरूले आफ्नो दोषलाई ढाक्छ तर उसले दोषलाई आफ्नो हृदयमा पालेको हुन्छ।

25 When his voice is gracious trust not in him, For seven abominations `are' in his heart.उसको मिठो कुरामा विश्वास नगर, किनभने उस भित्र सातओटा घिनलाग्दो विचारहरू जागिरहेको हुन्छन्।

26 Hatred is covered by deceit, Revealed is its wickedness in an assembly.उसले उसको द्वेष छलहरूद्वारा लुकाउन सकेतापर्नी उसको दुष्टता सबैको सामुन्ने प्रकट हुन्छ।

27 Whoso is digging a pit falleth into it, And the roller of a stone, to him it turneth.अर्कालाई जाक्नु खाडल खन्ने मानिस आफैं त्यही खाडलमा पर्छ। अरूलाई ढुङ्ग पल्टाउने मानिस आफैं ढुङ्गले चेपिएर मर्छ।

28 A lying tongue hateth its bruised ones, And a flattering mouth worketh an overthrow!जुन मानिसले झूटो बोल्छ, त्यसले आफूले हानि पुर्याएको मनिसहरूलाई नै घिनाउँछ, अनि एउटा मानिस जसले चाप्लुसी गर्छ उसले आफैंलाई हानी गर्छ।
