Proverbs 15 - YLT (Nepali)

1 A soft answer turneth back fury, And a grievous word raiseth up anger.नम्र तथा कोमल वचनले क्रोध शान्त गराउँछ भने कठोर वचनले क्रोधलाई अझ उत्तेजित पार्छ।

2 The tongue of the wise maketh knowledge good, And the mouth of fools uttereth folly.ज्ञानीको जिब्रोले ज्ञानलाई आनन्दप्रद बनाउँछ, अनि मूर्खको मुखबाट खाली मूर्खता नै बाहिरिन्छ।

3 In every place are the eyes of Jehovah, Watching the evil and the good.परमप्रभुको नजर प्रत्येक कुनामा पुगेको हुन्छ। उहाँ खराब असल देखिरहनु भएको हुन्छ।

4 A healed tongue `is' a tree of life, And perverseness in it -- a breach in the spirit.जुन वचनले मनको घाउ शान्ति पार्छ त्यो जीवन बृक्ष हो, तर छलपूर्ण वचनले आत्मालाई आघात पुर्याउँछ।

5 A fool despiseth the instruction of his father, And whoso is regarding reproof is prudent.मूर्खले आफ्नो बाबुले दिएको सजायलाई हेला गर्छ, तर जसले सुधारका कुरालाई ध्यान दिएर सुन्छ ऊ ज्ञानी हुनेछ।

6 `In' the house of the righteous `is' abundant strength, And in the increase of the wicked -- trouble.धर्मी मानिसको घरमा प्रशस्त धन हुन्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको कमाइले कष्ट मात्र निम्तियाँछ।

7 The lips of the wise scatter knowledge, And the heart of fools `is' not right.बुद्धिमानीको वचनले ज्ञान फैलाउँछन् तर मूर्ख हृदयले त्यस्तो काम गर्दैन।

8 The sacrifice of the wicked `is' an abomination to Jehovah, And the prayer of the upright `is' His delight.एउटा अन्यायी मानिसले चढाएको बलिदानलाई परमप्रभुले घृणा गर्नु हुन्छ तर ईमान्दारीसित व्यवहार गर्ने मानिसको प्रार्थनासित उहाँ खुशी हुनुहुन्छ।

9 An abomination to Jehovah `is' the way of the wicked, And whoso is pursuing righteousness He loveth.दुष्ट मानिसको मार्गलाई परमप्रभुले घृणा गर्नु हुन्छ तर जो मानिस न्यायीक र इमान्दारी हुन संघर्ष गर्छ, त्यसलाई उहाँले प्रेम गर्नु हुन्छ।

10 Chastisement `is' grievous to him who is forsaking the path, Whoso is hating reproof dieth.जुन मानिसले सही मार्ग अपनाउँदैन उसलाई कठोर सजायले अपेक्षा गरिरहेको हुन्छ, अनि जसले सुधारलाई घृणा गर्छ त्यो निश्चय नै मर्छ।

11 Sheol and destruction `are' before Jehovah, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men.परमप्रभुले प्रत्येक कुरा जान्नु हुन्छ, मृत्युको संसार नै उहाँको सामुन्ने रहेकोछ। यसर्थ मानिसको हृदयमा के छ उहाँ सबै जान्नु हुन्छ।

12 A scorner loveth not his reprover, Unto the wise he goeth not.मूर्खले उसलाई कसैले सुधारेको मन पराउँदैन। यसर्थ त्यो बुद्धिमान मानिसबाट सल्लाह लिन जाँदैन।

13 A joyful heart maketh glad the face, And by grief of heart is the spirit smitten.एउटा खुशी हृदयले अनुहारमा उज्यालो झल्यकाई दिन्छ, तर कसैको हृदयको शोकले आत्मालाई दुःखी र खिन्न बनाउँछ।

14 The heart of the intelligent seeketh knowledge, And the mouth of fools enjoyeth folly.विवेकशील हृदयले अझ ज्ञान पाउने चेष्टा गर्छ, तर मूर्खले खाली मूर्खता मात्र खोजि रहन्छ।

15 All the days of the afflicted `are' evil, And gladness of heart `is' a perpetual banquet.गरीब मानिसहरूको समय सधैं दुःखमय हुन्छ, तर सुखी हृदय लगातार उत्सव जस्तै सुखमय हुन्छ।

16 Better `is' a little with the fear of Jehovah, Than much treasure, and tumult with it.धेरै धन हुनु र त्ययसबाट दुःख पाउनु भन्दा थोरै हुनु तर परमप्रभुलाई सत्कार गर्नु उत्तम हो।

17 Better `is' an allowance of green herbs and love there, Than a fatted ox, and hatred with it.घृणाले भरिएको ठाउँमा धेरै खानु भन्दा, प्रेमले भरिएको ठाउँमा अलिकति खानु उत्तम हो।

18 A man of fury stirreth up contention, And the slow to anger appeaseth strife.एउटा क्रोधित मानिसले झगडा मच्चाउँछ तर सहनशील मानिसले झगडालाई शान्त गराउँछ।

19 The way of the slothful `is' as a hedge of briers, And the path of the upright is raised up.एकजना अल्छे मानिसको मार्ग, काढाहरूले भरिएको हुन्छ, तर ईमानदार मानिसको मार्ग फराकिलो बाटो झैं हुन्छ।

20 A wise son rejoiceth a father. And a foolish man is despising his mother.एक बुद्धिमानी छोरोले बाबुको निम्ति खुशीयाली ल्याउँछ भने, मूर्ख छोरोले उसको आमालाई हेला गर्छ।

21 Folly is joy to one lacking heart, And a man of intelligence directeth `his' going.मूर्खलाई दुष्ट कामले खुशी तुल्याँउछ। तर ज्ञानी मानिसले के सही हो त्यो गर्छ।

22 Without counsel `is' the making void of purposes, And in a multitude of counsellors it is established.चाँहिदो परामर्श नपाएर एकजना मानिस आफ्नो योजनामा विफल हुन सक्छ, तर धेरै परामर्शदाताहरूको सल्लाहले ऊ आफ्नो योजनामा सफल हुन सक्छ।

23 Joy `is' to a man in the answer of his mouth, And a word in its season -- how good!सही जवाफ दिन सके मानिस खुशी हुन्छ, र ठीक समयमा सही जवाफ अत्यन्तै राम्रो हो।

24 A path of life `is' on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath.बुद्धिमान मानिसले गरेको कामले उसलाई यस पृथ्वीमा जीवन दिन्छ अनि मृत्यु स्थानतिर जान रोक्छ।

25 The house of the proud Jehovah pulleth down, And He setteth up the border of the widow.अहंकारीको घर परमप्रभुले भताभुङ्ग पारिदिनुहुन्छ भने, विधवाको साँध-सीमानमा उहाँले सुरक्षित राखि दिनु हुन्छ।

26 An abomination to Jehovah `are' thoughts of wickedness, And pure `are' sayings of pleasantness.दुष्ट मानिसहरूको विचारलाई परमप्रभु घृणा गर्नु हुन्छ तर उहाँले शुद्ध मानिसहरूको विचार सँग खुशी हुनु हुन्छ।

27 A dishonest gainer is troubling his house, And whoso is hating gifts liveth.लोभी मानिसले आफ्नै घरमा आफ्द बोलाउँछ, तर त्यो मानिस बाँची रहन्छ जसले घूसलाई घृणा गर्छ।

28 The heart of the righteous meditateth to answer, And the mouth of the wicked uttereth evil things.एउटा धर्मी मानिसले प्रत्येक शब्द तौलँदै भन्छ। तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूको मुखबाट दुष्ट कुराहरू निस्कन्छन्।

29 Far `is' Jehovah from the wicked, And the prayer of the righteous He heareth.परमप्रभु दुष्ट मानिसबाट टाढा बस्नु हुन्छ, तर उहाँले धर्मी मानिसहरूको प्रार्थना सुन्नु हुन्छ।

30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart, A good report maketh fat the bone.एउटा उज्यालो अनुहारको हेराइले मनलाई खुशी पार्छ, अनि शुभ समाचारले हड्डी भित्र पनि खुशी संचार गर्छ।

31 An ear that is hearing the reproof of life Doth lodge among the wise.जसले जीवनदायी झपेडाईको अवहेलना गर्दैन, ऊ बुद्धिमान मानिसहरूको बीचमा बस्नेछ।

32 Whoso is refusing instruction is despising his soul, And whoso is hearing reproof Is getting understanding.जुन मानिसले अनुशासनलाई अस्वीकार गर्छ उसले आफ्नो जीवनमा कष्ट ल्याउँछ, तर जसले हप्काइलाई स्वीकार गर्छ उसले समझशक्ति पाँउछ।

33 The fear of Jehovah `is' the instruction of wisdom, And before honour `is' humility!परमप्रभुको डरले मानिसमा बुद्धि सिकाउँछ। आदर पाउँनु भन्दा अघि नम्रता आउँछ।
