Proverbs 10 - DBY (Nepali)

1 The Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.एकजना बुद्धिमानी छोरोले आफ्नो बाबुलाई आनन्द दिन्छ भने, एक मूर्ख छोरोले आफ्नी आमालाई कष्ट दिएको हुन्छ।

2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivereth from death.खराब काम गरी कमाएको धन सदाको लागि व्यर्थ हुन्छ इमान्दारीताले मानिसहरूलाई मृत्युबाट बचाउँछ।

3 Jehovah suffereth not the soul of the righteous [man] to famish; but he repelleth the craving of the wicked.परमप्रभुले धर्मीहरूलाई भोकै राख्नु हुन्न तर उहाँले दुष्ट मानिसको लालसालाई पनि विरोध गर्नु हुन्छ।

4 He cometh to want that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.अल्छी मानिसले दरिद्रता निम्तयाँउछ भने, एक मेहनती मानिस धनी हुन्छ।

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.ग्रीष्म ऋतुमा जसले अन्न जम्मा गरेर राख्छ त्यो ज्ञानी मानिस हो तर जुन मानिस कटनीको समयमा सुत्छ त्यसले शरम ल्याउँछ।

6 Blessings are upon the head of a righteous [man]; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.इमानदार मानिसको शिरमाथि आशीषहरू वर्षन्छन्, तर दुष्ट मानिसको मुखबाट घृणित कुराहरू मात्र निस्कन्छन्।

7 The memory of the righteous [man] shall be blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.एकजना इमान्दार मानिसको स्मरण आशीर्वादको श्रोत हो तर दुष्ट मानिसको नामबाट दुर्गन्ध आँउछ।

8 The wise in heart receiveth commandments; but a prating fool shall fall.एकजना ज्ञानी मानिसले आज्ञाहरू पालन गर्छ। तर तर्क गर्ने मूर्खले आफैंलाई नासमा पुर्याउँछ।

9 He that walketh in integrity walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.ईमानदार मानिस सदा सर्वदाको लागि सुरक्षित भई रहन्छ भने एउटा दुष्ट मानिस अवश्य पतन हुन्छ।

10 He that winketh with the eye causeth grief, and a prating fool shall fall.सच्चाई लुकाउने मानिसले दुःख ल्याउँछ। खुलासँग बोल्ने मानिसले शान्ति ल्याउँछ।

11 The mouth of a righteous [man] is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.इमान्दार मानिसको मुख जीवनको स्रोत हो, तर मूर्ख मानिसको मुखबाट घृणीत कुराहरू मात्र निस्कन्छन्।

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love covereth all transgressions.घृणाले झगडा उत्पन्न गराउँछ, तर प्रेमले सबै अपराधहरूलाई क्षमा गर्छ।

13 In the lips of an intelligent [man] wisdom is found; but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.बुद्धि, ज्ञानी मानिसहरूको मुखमा पाइन्छ, तर मूर्खलाई उसको पीठ्‌यूँमा लट्ठीले हिर्काइन्छ।

14 The wise lay up knowledge; but the mouth of the fool is near destruction.बुद्धिमानी मानिसहरूले ज्ञानलाई संचय गर्छन्, तर मूर्खको बोलीलो आपद-विपदहरू मात्र बोलाउँछ।

15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.धनी मानिसलाई धनले रक्षा गर्छ तर दरिद्रताले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई नष्ट पार्छ।

16 The labour of a righteous [man] [tendeth] to life; the revenue of a wicked [man], to sin.एकजना इमान्दार मानिसले जे कमाउँछ, त्यसले जीवन प्रदान गर्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको कमाईहरू पापको निम्ति प्रयोग हुन्छ।

17 Keeping instruction is the path to life; but he that forsaketh reproof goeth astray.आफूले भोगेको सजायबाट जुन मानिसले शिक्षा लिन्छ उसले अन्य मानिसहरूलाई पनि बाँच्न सिकाउँछ। तर जुन मानिसले सजायबाट शिक्षा लिनु अस्वीकार गर्छ त्यसले अरूलाई पथभ्रष्ट बनाई दिन्छ।

18 He that covereth hatred hath lying lips, and he that sendeth forth a slander is a fool.जसले आफ्नो घृणा लुकाएर राख्छ, त्यो कपटी हो र जसले आफूले फैलाउनु सक्ने कथाहरू मात्र खोज्छ त्यो मूर्ख हो।

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; but he that restraineth his lips doeth wisely.धेरै बोल्ने मानिसले प्रायः समस्या उबजाउँछ, तर चुपचाप रहने मानिस विवेकी हुन्छ।

20 The tongue of the righteous [man] is [as] choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth.इमान्दार मानिसको मुखबाट निस्केका शब्दहरू निखुर चाँदी झैं बहूमूल्य हुन् तर नराम्रो मानिसका विचारहरूको मूल्य हुँदैन।

21 The lips of a righteous [man] feed many; but fools die for want of understanding.इमान्दार मानिसका वचनहरूले धेरै मानिसहरूलाई सहायता गर्छ, तर एउटा मूर्खको मूर्खयाँईंले उसलाई मार्छ।

22 The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow to it.परमेश्वरको आशीर्वादले धन सम्पत्ति ल्याउँछ अनि उहाँले यसमा कष्टहरू थप्नु हुन्न।

23 It is as sport to a foolish [man] to do wickedness; but a man of understanding hath wisdom.एउटा मूर्ख मानिस दुष्कर्ममा रमाउँछ, तर समझदार मानिस ज्ञानमा खुशी हुन्छ।

24 The fear of a wicked [man], it shall come upon him; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.दुष्ट मानिसहरू जे कुरामा डराउनछन् तिनीहरूलाई त्यहि हुन्छ तर एउटा धर्मी मानिसले जे चिताँउछ त्यहि प्राप्त गर्छ।

25 As a whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no [more]; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.आँधी-बेहरीले उडाएर लगे झैं दुष्ट मानिसहरू एक क्षणमै नष्ट हुन्छन्, तर धर्मी मानिस अनन्त सम्मै दृढ रहिरहन्छ।

26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.जसले अल्छी मानिसलाई काम अह्राएर पठाउँछ उसलाई दाँतमा अमिलो सिरका परे झैं र आखाँमा धूवाँ लागे झैं हुन्छ।

27 The fear of Jehovah prolongeth days; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.परमप्रभुको भयले मानिसको आयु बढाइ दिन्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको आयु घटूनेछ।

28 The hope of the righteous is joy; but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.धर्मी मानिसका आशाहरू खुशीमा अन्त हुन्छन, तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूकाा आशाहरू शुन्यमा अन्त हुन्छ।

29 The way of Jehovah is strength to the perfect [man], but destruction to the workers of iniquity.परमप्रभुको मार्ग धर्मी मानिसहरूको लागि शरणस्थान हो, तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूको लागि विध्वंस हो।

30 The righteous [man] shall never be moved; but the wicked shall not inhabit the land.धर्मी व्याक्ति कहिले डग्मगाउदैन तर दुष्ट मानिसहरू पृथ्वीमा टिक्ने छैनन्।

31 The mouth of a righteous [man] putteth forth wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut out.धर्मी मानिसले ज्ञानको उच्चारण गर्छ, तर एउटा कुटिल जिब्रो काटिनेछ।

32 The lips of a righteous [man] know what is acceptable; but the mouth of the wicked is frowardness.एकजना धर्मी मानिसले ग्रहणयोग्य कुरा बोल्न जान्दछ तर एकजना दुष्ट मानसिले यस्ता मात्रै शब्द बोल्छ जसले दुःख दिन्छ।
