Numbers 23 - BBE (Nepali)

1 And Balaam said to Balak, Make me here seven altars and get ready seven oxen and seven male sheep.बिलामले भने, “यहाँ सातवटा वेदी बनाऊ। अनि सातवटा साँढे र सातवटा भेडा मेरो निम्ति तयार पार।”

2 And Balak did as Balaam had said; and Balak and Balaam made an offering on every altar of an ox and a male sheep.बालाकले बिलामको इच्छा पुरा गरिदियो। ती दुइजनाले एक-एकवटा साँढे र भेडा प्रत्येक वेदिमा बलि चढाए।

3 Then Balaam said to Balak, Take your place by your burned offering, and I will go and see if the Lord comes to me: and I will give you word of whatever he says to me. And he went to an open place on a hill.त्यसपछि बिलामले बालाकलाई भने, “तिम्रो होमबलिको पछिल्तिर तिमी उभिनु अनि म कही जान्छु। शायद परमप्रभुले मलाई भेट्नु हुन्छ होला। उहाँले मलाई जे देखाउनु हुन्छ म तिमीलाई भन्नेछु।” यसर्थ तिनी एउटा पर्वतको शिखरमा गए।

4 And God came to Balaam, and Balaam said to him, I have made ready seven altars, offering an ox and a male sheep on every altar.परमेश्वर बिलामलाई भेट्न आउनुभयो अनि उनले परमेश्वरलाई भने, “मैले सातवटा वेदी बनाएकोछु र एउटा साँढे र एउटा भेडा बलिको निम्ति प्रत्येक वेदीमा चढाइएको छ।”

5 And the Lord put words in Balaam's mouth, and said, Go back to Balak, and this is what you are to say.तब परमप्रभुले बिलामलाई उसले के भन्नु पर्ने बताउनु भयो, “बालाककहाँ फर्क र उसलाई यो भन।”

6 So he went back to him where he was waiting by his burned offering with all the chiefs of Moab.यसर्थ बिलाम बालाककहाँ फर्के। त्यहाँ बलाक आफूले चढाएको बलिको नजिकै अन्य मोआबका मुख्य व्यक्तिहरूसित उभिरहेका थिए। तब बिलामले यी कुराहरू भनेः

7 And in the words which the Lord had given him he said, From Aram Balak has sent for me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East: come, put curses on Jacob for me and be angry with Israel.बालाक, मोआबका राजाले मलाई यहाँबाट अरामको पूर्वोत्तर पर्वतहरूमा लगे। बालाकले मलाई भने,“आऊ मेरो निम्ति याकूबलाई शराप। आऊ इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको विरोधमा बोल।”

8 How may I put curses on him who is not cursed by God? how may I be angry with him with whom the Lord is not angry?कसरी म केही कुरालाई सराप्नु जसलाई परमेश्वरले सरापेको छैन; कसरी म कसैको विरूद्धमा बोल्नु जसलाई परमप्रभुले विरोध गर्नु भएको छैन्।

9 From the top of the rocks I see him, looking down on him from the hills: it is a people made separate, not to be numbered among the nations.म पर्वतबाट ती मानिसहरूलाई देख्छु, म तिनीहरूतिर अग्लो पर्वतबाट हेर्छु, तिनीहरूले एकान्तमा बस्छन्, तिनीहरू आफैलाई जातिहरू मध्येको एक जाति भनी सोच्दैनन्।

10 Who is able to take the measure of the dust of Jacob or the number of the thousands of Israel? May my death be the death of the upright and my last end like his!याकूबका मानिसहरूलाई कसले गन्न सक्छन्? तिनीहरूको संख्या धूलोको कण जत्तिकै असंख्य छ। तिनीहरूका चार भागको एक भाग पनि कसैले गन्न सक्तैन। मेरो आत्माले असल मृत्यु पाओस्, मेरो जीवन तिनीहरूको झैं खुशीयालीमा अन्त होस्।”

11 Then Balak said to Balaam, What have you done to me? I sent for you so that my haters might be cursed, and see, you have given them a blessing.त्यसपछि बालाकले बिलामलाई भने, “तपाईंले मलाई के गर्नु भयो? मैले तपाईंलाई मेरा शत्रुहरूलाई सराप्न ल्याए तर तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिनुभयो।”

12 And in answer he said, Am I not ordered to say only what the Lord puts into my mouth?बिलामले उत्तर दिए, “म परमप्रभुले भन्नु भएको वचन मात्र बोल्नु होशियार रहनु पर्छ।”

13 And Balak said to him, Come with me now into another place from which you will not be able to see them all, but only the outskirts of them; and you will send curses on them from there.त्यसपछि बालाकले उसलाई भने, “तपाईं मसंग यता अर्को ठाँउमा आउनु, जहाँबाट ती मानिसहरूलाई अझ वेशी संख्यामा देख्न सक्नु हुन्छ। तपाईंले तिनीहरू सबैलाई देख्न सक्नुहुन्न खाली एक भाग मात्र देख्न सक्नुहुन्छ। त्यहाँबाट तपाईंले मेरो पक्षमा सराप्नु होस्।”

14 So he took him into the country of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and there they made seven altars, offering an ox and a male sheep on every altar.तब बालाकले बिलामलाई पिसगा पर्वतको चोटीमा भएको सोफीमको खेतमा लगे अनि त्यहाँ बालाकले सातवटा वेदी बनाई एउटा साँढे र एउटा भेडा प्रत्येक वेदीमा बलि दिए।

15 Then he said to Balak, Take your place here by your burned offering, while I go over there to the Lord.तब बिलामले बालाकलाई भने, “यो वेदी नजिक तिमी बस। म परमेश्वरलाई भेट्न त्यस ठाँउमा जान्छु।”

16 And the Lord came to Balaam, and put words in his mouth, and said, Go back to Balak, and this is what you are to say.यसर्थ बिलामलाई परमप्रभुले भेट्नु भयो अनि बिलामले के भन्नु पर्ने बताई दिनुभयो। परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, बालाककहाँ जाऊ अनि यसो भन।

17 So he came to him where he was waiting by his burned offering with the chiefs of Moab by his side. And Balak said to him, What has the Lord said?यसकारण बिलाम बालाकभए कहाँ गए। बालाक होमबलि को छेऊमा उभिरहेको थियो उसले अन्य मोआबका बूढा-प्रधानहरूसित बलि चढाए बालाकले सोधे, “परमप्रभुले के भन्नुभयो?”

18 And in the words which the Lord had given him he said, Up! Balak, and give ear; give attention to me, O son of Zippor:बिलामले आगमवाणी दिएः“उठ बालाक अनि म जे भन्छु सुन; सिप्पोरका छोरो, बालाक मेरो कुरा सुन,

19 God is not a man, to say what is false; or the son of man, that his purpose may be changed: what he has said, will he not do? and will he not give effect to the words of his mouth?परमेश्वर मानिस हुनुहुन्न, यसर्थ उहाँ मर्नुहुन्न, परमेश्वर मानव हुनुहुन्न, यसर्थ उहाँको निर्णय परिवर्त्तन हुँदैन। यदि परमप्रभुले भन्नुहुन्छ-केही गर्छु, तब उहाँले गर्नुहुन्छ। यदि परमप्रभुले प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भए, प्रतिज्ञाको कुरो पूर्ण गर्नुहुन्छ।

20 See, I have had orders to give blessing: and he has given a blessing which I have no power to take away.परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, ती मानिसहरूलाई आशीर्वाद देऊ, परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिनु भएकोछ, यसर्थ म त्यो बदलाउन सक्तिन।

21 He has seen no evil in Jacob or wrongdoing in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the glad cry of a king is among them.परमेश्वरले याकूबका मानिसहरूमा कुनै त्रुटी पाउनु भएन, इस्राएलका मानिसहरूमा परमेश्वरले पाप देख्नु भएन। परमप्रभु तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ, अनि उहाँ तिनीहरूको साथ हुनुहुन्छ। ती महान राजा तिनीहरूसित हुनुहुन्छ।

22 It is God who has taken them out of Egypt; his horns are like those of the mountain ox.परमेश्वरले ती मानिसहरूलाई मिश्रबाट बाहिर ल्याउनु भयो तिनीहरू जंगली साँढे झै बलिया छन्।

23 No evil power has effect against Jacob, no secret arts against Israel; at the right time it will be said of Jacob and of Israel, See what God has done!याकूबका मानिसहरूलाई परास्त गर्ने अर्को कुनै शक्ति छैन। कुनै यस्तो उपाए छैन कि इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई रोक्न सकोस्। याकूब र इस्राएली मानिसहरूको विषयमा, मानिसहरू भन्दछन्, ‘परमेश्वरको महान सृष्टिलाई हेर!’

24 See, Israel comes up like a she-lion, lifting himself up like a lion: he will take no rest till he has made a meal of those he has overcome, drinking the blood of those he has put to death.मानिसहरू सिंह झैं बलिया छन् सिंह झैं लडछन्। अनि आफ्नो शत्रुलाई परास्त नपारे सम्म त्यो सिंह विश्राम गर्दैन। अनि त्यो सिंहले विश्राम नै लिंदैन जब सम्म आफ्नो शत्रु ती मानिसहरूको रगत पिउँदैन।”

25 Then Balak said to Balaam, If you will not put a curse on them, at all events do not give them a blessing.बालाकले बिलामलाई भने, “आज देखि, तिमी मानिसहरूलाई आशिष अथवा सराप दिनु हुदैन्।”

26 But Balaam in answer said to Balak, Did I not say to you, I may only do what the Lord says?बिलामले उत्तर दिए, “मैले तिमीलाई अघि नै भने कि परमप्रभुले जे भन्न लगाउनु हुन्छ म त्यो मात्र भन्छु।”

27 Then Balak said to Balaam, Come now, I will take you to another place; it may be that God will let you put a curse on them from there.तब बालाकले बिलामलाई भने, “अब मसंग आउनु होस् अर्को ठाँउमा। हुन सक्छ परमेश्वर खुशी भएर ती मानिसहरूलाई सराप्न अनुमति दिनुहुन्छ।”

28 So Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, looking down over the waste land.यसर्थ बिलामलाई बालाकले पोर पर्वतको चुचुरामा लगे। यहाँबाट मरूभूमि देखिन्थ्यो।

29 And Balaam said to Balak, Make me seven altars here and get seven oxen and seven male sheep ready for me.बिलामले भने, “सातवटा वेदी बनाऊ। त्यसपछि वेदीमा बलिको निम्ति सातवटा साँढे र सातवटा भेडाहरू तयार पार।”

30 And Balak did as Balaam said, offering an ox and a male sheep on every altar.बालाकले ठीक पारे अनि वेदीहरूमा ती साँढे र भेडाहरू बलि चढाए।
