अब हे राजा! लिखित रूपमा नियम बनाएर हस्ताक्षर गरिदिनु होस्। त्यो बदली हुन नपाओस्, किनकि मादी र फारसिहरूको नियम न त बद्ली हुन्छ न त मेट्टिन्छ।”

Now,	כְּעַ֣ן	kĕʿan	keh-AN
O king,	מַלְכָּ֔א	malkāʾ	mahl-KA
establish	תְּקִ֥ים	tĕqîm	teh-KEEM
the decree,	אֱסָרָ֖א	ʾĕsārāʾ	ay-sa-RA
sign and	וְתִרְשֻׁ֣ם	wĕtiršum	veh-teer-SHOOM
the writing,	כְּתָבָ֑א	kĕtābāʾ	keh-ta-VA
that	דִּ֣י	dî	dee
not be it	לָ֧א	lāʾ	la
changed,	לְהַשְׁנָיָ֛ה	lĕhašnāyâ	leh-hahsh-na-YA
according to the law	כְּדָת	kĕdāt	keh-DAHT
Medes the of	מָדַ֥י	māday	ma-DAI
and Persians,	וּפָרַ֖ס	ûpāras	oo-fa-RAHS
which	דִּי	dî	dee
altereth	לָ֥א	lāʾ	la
