1 And Joshua was old, advanced in age, and Jehovah said to him, Thou art old, advanced in age, and there remaineth yet very much land to take possession of.जब यहोशू अत्यन्त बृद्ध भए, परमप्रभुले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “यहोशू तँ बृद्ध भइसकेको छस्, तर तैंलेअझ्झ धेरै भूमि अधिकारमा ल्याउनुछ।

2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the districts of the Philistines and all the Geshurites,त्यहाँ पलिश्तीहरू र गश्शूरीहरूको भूमि अझ्झै बाँकी नै छ,

3 from the Shihor, which [floweth] before Egypt, as far as the borders of Ekron northward, [and which] is counted to the Canaanite; five lordships of the Philistines: of Gazah, and of Ashdod, of Eshkalon, of Gath, and of Ekron; also the Avvites;भूमि मिश्रको शिहोर नदीदेखि लिएर एक्रोनको सम्म अनि उत्तरतिरको भूमि सम्म छ। भूमि अझ्झै पनि कनानी मानिसहरूद्वारा अधिकार भइरहेको छ। पलिश्तीहरूको पाँच अगुवाहरू गाजी, अश्दोदी, अश्कलोनी, गात अनि एक्रोनलाई नष्ट भएको छैन, न ता अव्वी मानिसहरूलाई,

4 in the south, the whole land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which [belongeth] to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;जो दक्षिणतिर बस्छन्। कनानीहरूको सबै भूमि (जुन चाँहि सीदोनीहरूको हो) देखि लिएर अपेक सम्म, जहाँ सम्म एमोरीहरूको सीमानामा पर्छ।

5 and the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad at the foot of mount Hermon to the entrance into Hamath;अनि गीबालीहरूको भूमि लबानोनको बाल गादको पूर्वतिर देखि लिएर हेर्मोको पर्वतको मुनि देखि लेबो-हमात प्राप्त गर्न अझै बाँकी नै छ।

6 all the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, all the Sidonians; I will dispossess them from before the children of Israel. Only, partition it by lot to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.“सबै सीदोनी मानिसहरू, पनि जो लबानोनको पहाडी भूमिदेखि लिएर मिश्रपोत मैमसम्म बस्दछन्। म यी सबै मानिसहरूलाई इस्राएलीहरूका निम्ति भगाइदिनेछु। मैले आज्ञा गरे झैं भूमि तिनीहरूको उत्तराधिकार अनुसार इस्राएलीहरूको बीचमा बाँडिदेऊ।

7 And now divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and to half the tribe of Manasseh;अब नौं कुल समूहहरू अनि मनश्शेका आधा कुल समूहको माझ भूमि विभाजन गर।”भूमि-विभाजन

8 with him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them:रूबेन, गाद अनि मनश्शेका अर्को आधा कुल समूहहरूले सबै तिनीहरूका भूमि अधिनै लिइसकेका थिए। परमप्रभुका दास मोशाले तिनीहरूलाई यर्दन नदी पूर्वको भूमि दिए।

9 from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau of Medeba to Dibon,तिनीहरूको भूमि आरोएर देखि शुरू भएर अर्नोनको बेंसी अनि बेंसीको बिचमा भएको शहर सम्म थियो। अनि त्यसमा मेदबा देखि दीबोन सम्मको सम्पूर्ण भूमि सम्मिलित थिए।

10 and all the cities of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon;एमोरी मानिसहरूका राजा सीहोनले शासन गरेका सबै शहरहरू त्यस भूमिमा थिए। ती राजाले हेश्बोनको शहरमा शासन गरेका थियो। त्यो भूमि त्यो क्षेत्रसम्म फैलिएको थियो जहाँ एमोरी मानिसहरू बस्थे।

11 and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and the whole of Bashan to Salcah;गिलाद शहर पनि त्यस भूमिमा थियो। अनि त्यो क्षेत्र जहाँ गशूर अनि माकाका मानिसहरू त्यस भूमिमा बस्दथे। सम्पूर्ण हेर्मोन पर्वत अनि सम्पूर्ण बाशानका सलकासम्मको क्षेत्र त्यस भूमिमा थियो।

12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, who remained of the residue of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them.बाशनमा ओगको सम्पूर्ण राज्य विगतमा जसले अश्तारोत र एद्रईहरूमा शासन, गरेका थिए। ओग रपाई मानिसहरूको अन्तिम थिए, मोशाले यी मानिसहरूलाई आक्रमण गरे अनि तिनीहरूको भूमि लिए।

13 But the children of Israel did not dispossess the Geshurites nor the Maachathites; but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites to this day.इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले गेशूर अनि माकाका मानिसहरूलाई बाहिर निक्लन बाध्य तुल्याएनन्। ती मानिसहरू अझसम्म इस्राएलका मानिसहरू माझ बस्छन्।

14 Only to the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the offerings by fire of Jehovah the God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to them.लेवी कुल समूह मात्र त्यो एक थियो। जसले कुनै भूमि प्राप्त गरेन। बद्लामा लेवीका मानिसहरूले ती सबै पशुहरू पाए जो आगोद्वारा परमप्रभु परमेश्वरलाई अर्पण गरिएका थिए। यो त्यही थियो जो परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई भाकल गर्नु भएको थियो।

15 And Moses gave [a portion] to the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families.मोशाले प्रत्येक कुल समूहलाई रूबेनका कुल समूहबाट केही भूमि दिएका थिए। तिनीहरूले पाएको भूमि यो होः

16 And their territory was from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau by Medeba;यो भूमि अर्नोनको बेंसी नजिकको अरोएर मेदबा शहरसम्म थियो। यसमा सम्पूर्ण समतल भूमि अनि बेंसी माझको शहर सम्मिलित थियो।

17 Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plateau, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-meon,त्यो भूमि हेश्बोनसम्म लगातार थियो। यसमा समतल भूमिको सबै शहरहरू सम्मिलित थियो। ती शहरहरू दीबोन, बमोतबाल, बेतबाल्मोन,

18 And Jahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,यहसा, कदेमोत, र मेपात,

19 and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar in the mountain of the vale,किर्यातैम, सिब्मा, डाँडाको बेंसी सेरेथशेहर,

20 and Beth-Peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;बेतपोर, पिसगाको पाखो अनि बेत्यशीमोत थिए।

21 all the cities of the plateau, and the whole kingdom of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses smote, him and the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the chiefs of Sihon dwelling in the land.यसरी त्यहाँका सबै भूमिमा अनि सबै क्षेत्रमा एमोरी मानिसहरूका राजा सीहोनले शासन गर्थे, सम्मिलित थिए। ती राजाले हेश्बोनमा शासन गर्थे। तर मोशाले तिनलाई अनि मिद्यानका अगुवाहरूलाई परास्त गरेका थिए। ती अगुवाहरू एवी, रेकेम, सूर, हूर अनि रेबा थिए। (यी सबै अगुवाहरू एक साथ सीहोन विरूद्ध लडेका थिए।) यी सबै अगुवाहरू त्यस देशमा बस्थे।

22 And Balaam the son of Beor, the diviner, did the children of Israel kill with the sword among them that were slain by them.इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले बओरका छोरा बिलामलाई परास्त गरे। (बालामले भविष्य भन्नका निम्ति जादूको उपयोग गर्ने कोशिश गरे।) इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले युद्धमा धेरै मानिसहरूलाई मारे।

23 And the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and [its] border. This is the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.जो भूमि रूबेनलाई दिइएको थियो त्यो यर्दन नदीको किनारमा टुङ्गिइन्थ्यो। यसर्थ रूबेनलाई दिइएको भूमिमा यी सबै शहरहरू र सूचीमा भएका तिनीहरूका खेतहरू सम्मिलित थिए।

24 And Moses gave [a portion] to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad according to their families.मोशाले गादका कुल समूहलाई दिएको भूमि यही हो। मोशाले यो भूमि प्रत्येक कुल समूहलाई दिए।

25 And their territory was Jaazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer which is before Rabbah;याजेरको भूमि अनि गिलादका सम्पूर्ण शहरहरू। तिनीहरूलाई मोशाले रब्बाको नजिकको अरोएरसम्म अनि अम्मोनीहरूका आधाभूमि दिए।

26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;त्यो भूमि हेश्बोन देखि रामत मिस्पा अनि बेतोनीम सम्मका क्षेत्रहरू सम्मिलित थिए। त्यो भूमि महनोम देखि दबीरको सीमानासम्म थियो।

27 and in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon the king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, as far as the edge of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.त्यस भूमि बेथाराम बेंसी, बेतनिम्रा सुक्कोत, र सापोन सम्मिलित थिए। अन्य भूमि जो सीहोन, हेश्बोनका राजाले शासन गरेका थिए यो सबै भूमि सम्मिलित थियो। यो भूमि यर्दन नदीको पूर्वतर्फ र गालील समुद्रको छेउसम्म थियो।

28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.यी सबै भूमिहरू जो मोशाले गादका कुल समूहलाई दिएका थिए। त्यो भूमिमा सूचीमा भएका सबै शहरहरू सम्मिलित थिए। मोशाले त्यो भूमि प्रत्येक कुल समूहलाई दिएका थिए।

29 And Moses gave [a portion] to half the tribe of Manasseh; and for half the tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families:मोशाले मनश्शेका आधा कुल समूहलाई दिएको भूमि यही हो। मनश्शेको कुल समूहका सबै कुलका आधाले यो भूमि प्राप्त गरेः

30 their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.त्यो भूमि महनोमबाट शुरू भएको थियो। त्यो भूमिमा सम्पूर्ण बाशान सम्मा, र बाशानका राजा ओगले शासन गरेका सम्पूर्ण भूमि, बाशान र याईरका सबै शहरहरू सम्मिलित थिए। त्यहाँ जम्मा साट्ठीवटा शहरहरू थिए।

31 And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [belonged] to the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, to the one half of the children of Machir according to their families.त्यो भूमिमा गिलादको आधा, अश्तारोत अनि एद्रेई-ओगको राजधानीवरिपरीका शहरहरू पनि सम्मिलित थिए। यी सबै भूमिहरू मनशशेका छोरा माकीरका कुललाई दिए। ती छोराहरू मध्ये आधाले यो भूमि प्राप्त गरे।

32 This is that which Moses allotted for inheritance in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan of Jericho, eastward.मोशाले यी सबै भूमि ती कुल समूहहरूलाई दिए, मोशाले यसो गरे जब मानिसहरू मोआबको समतल भूमिको छाउनीमा बसेका थिए। यो यरीहोको पूर्व यर्दन नदी पारी थियो।

33 But to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance: Jehovah the God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said to them.मोशाले लेवी कुल समूहलाई कुनै पनि भूमि दिएनन्। परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वरले प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भएको छ कि उहाँ स्वयं लेवी कुल समूहका निम्ति भेटूनु हुनेछ।
