Hosea 12 - ASV (Nepali)

1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.एप्रैमले आफ्नो समय नष्ट गर्छ। “इस्राएल दिनभरि हावाको पछि पछि भागिहिंड्छ। प्रजाहरू ज्यादा भन्दा ज्यादा झूटो बोल्छन्, र चोरी गर्छन्। तिनीहरूले अश्शूरहरूसंग सन्धि गर्छन् अनि आफ्नो भद्राक्षको तेल मिश्र देश लिएर जान्छन्।

2 Jehovah hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “मेरो तर्क यहूदाको विरूद्धमा छ। याकुबलाई उसले गरेको कर्मका निम्ति दण्ड दिनुपर्छ। उसलाई उसले गरेको कु-कर्मका निम्ति निश्चय नै दण्ड दिनुपर्छ।

3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he had power with God:जब याकूब आफ्नो आमाको गर्भमा थियो, अनि गर्भमा हुँदै उसले आफ्नो दाज्यूलाई छल्न शुरू गर्यो। याकूब एकजना शक्तिशाली युवक थियो अनि त्यसै समय उसले परमेश्वरसँग कुश्ती लड्यो।

4 yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us,याकूबले परमेश्वरका स्वर्गदूतसित ऊ युद्ध गर्यो अनि विजय भयो। ऊ रोयो अनि दयाको निम्ति विन्ति गर्यो। यो घट्ना बेतेलमा भएको थियो, त्यहाँ उसले परमेश्वरसंग बातचीत गर्यो।

5 even Jehovah, the God of hosts; Jehovah is his memorial `name'.यहोवा सेनाहरूका परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ। उहाँको नाउँ यहोवा हो।

6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually.यसकारण आफ्नो परमेश्वरतिर आऊ। उहाँ प्रति साँचो होऊ। राम्रो कर्म गर। परमेश्वरमाथि सधैं निर्भर गर।

7 `He is' a trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.“याकूब एक व्यापारी हो। ऊ आफ्नो साथीहरू समेतलाई ठग्छ। उसको तराजु झूटो छ।

8 And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin.एप्रैम भन्छ, ‘म धनी छु। मैले साँचो धन प्राप्त गरेको छु। मेरो अपराधको बिषयमा कसैले पनि थहा पाउने छैन।’

9 But I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.“तर जबदेखि तिमी मिश्रदेशमा थियौ म त त्यही समयदेखि नै परमप्रभु तिम्रो परमेश्वर हुँ। म तिमीलाई भेट हुने पालका दिनहरूमा जस्तै पालमा राख्नेछु।

10 I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.मैले अगमवक्तासित कुरा गरेकोछु र बारम्बार दर्शन दिएकोछु। मैले अगमवक्तालाई तिमीहरूको आफ्नो पाठ पढाउन धेरै तरीका पनि दिएकोछु।

11 Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether false; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field.तर गिलादमा फेरि पनि पाप छ। अनुपयोगी मूर्तिहरू धेरै छन्। गिलगालमा तिनीहरू गोरूहरू बलिको रूपमा चढाउँछन्। तिनीहरूका धेरै जस्ता वेदीहरू जोतेको खेतमा थुपारेको ढुङ्गाका थुप्राहरू जस्ता छन्।

12 And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept `sheep'.“याकूब आरामको खेतमा भागेर गए। यस जग्गामा इस्राएलले पत्नीको निम्ति काम गरेको थियो। स्वास्नी पाउनको निम्ति उसले भेडाहरूको हेरचाह गर्यो।

13 And by a prophet Jehovah brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.तर परमप्रभुले एउटा अगमवक्ताद्वारा इस्राएललाई मिश्र देशबाट लिएर आउनुभयो। परमप्रभुले एकजना अगमवक्तद्वारा इस्राएललाई सुरक्षित राख्नुभयो।

14 Ephraim hath provoked to anger most bitterly: therefore shall his blood be left upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.तर एप्रैमले परमप्रभुलाई धेरै रिस उठाइदियो। एप्रैम मृत्यु-दण्ड पाउने अपराधको दोषी छ। यसैकारण उसलाई उसको अपराधको निम्ति दण्ड दिइनेछ। उसको मालिकले उसलाई लज्जित पार्नुहुनेछ।”
