1 And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were all together in one place.जब पेन्तिकोसकोदिन आइपुग्यो, प्रेरितहरू सबै एकै ठाउँमा जम्मा भएका थिए।

2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a violent wind, and all the house where they were was full of it.अचानक स्वर्गबाट जोडले हुरी बतास चले जस्तै एउटा आवाजले तिनीहरू जुन कोठामा बसिरहेका थिए त्यस कोठालाई सम्पूर्ण प्रकारले ढाकिदियो।

3 And they saw tongues, like flames of fire, coming to rest on every one of them.तिनीहरूले आगोका ज्वालाहरू जस्तो देखे। ती ज्वालाहरू विभाजित भएर प्रत्येक मानिसमाथि बस्यो।

4 And they were all full of the Holy Spirit, and were talking in different languages, as the Spirit gave them power.तिनीहरू सबै पवित्र आत्माले परिपूर्ण भए र तिनीहरूले विभिन्न भाषाहरूमा बोल्न थाले। पवित्र आत्माले तिनीहरूलाई त्यसो गर्न शक्ति प्रदान गर्नुभयो।

5 Now there were living at Jerusalem, Jews, God-fearing men, from every nation under heaven.त्यसबेला यरूशलेममा केही धार्मिक यहूदीहरू बस्थे। तिनीहरू संसारको प्रत्येक राष्ट्रबाट आएका थिए।

6 And when this sound came to their ears, they all came together, and were greatly surprised because every man was hearing the words of the disciples in his special language.तिनीहरू धेरै जसो आवाज सुने पछि आए। प्रेरितहरूले आ-आफ्ना भाषामा बोलेको सुनेर तिनीहरू छक्क परे।

7 And they were full of wonder and said, Are not all these men Galilaeans?यी सबै यहूदीहरू यसमा आर्श्चय चकित भए। तिनीहरूले बुझेनन् कि कसरी प्रेरितहरू यस्तो गर्न सक्षम भए। तिनीहरूले भने, “हेर! यी मानिसहरू जो बोलिरहेका छन् तिनीहरू सबै गालीलबाट आएका हुन्।

8 And how is it that every one of us is hearing their words in the language which was ours from our birth?तर हामी तिनीहरूले बोलेका शब्दहरू हाम्रो आफ्नै भाषामा सुनिरहेका छौं। यो कसरी सम्भव भयो? हामी विभिन्न ठाउँहरूबाट आएका हौं

9 Men of Parthia, Media, and Elam, and those living in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,पार्थीया, मेदीया, एलाम, मेसोपोटामिया, यहूदिया, कपोदिसिया, पोन्टस, एशिया,

10 In Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and those who have come from Rome, Jews by birth and others who have become Jews,फ्रिगिया, प्याम्फिलिया, मिश्रदेश, साईरिन छेउको लिबिया, रोम

11 Men of Crete and Arabia, to all of us they are talking in our different languages, of the great works of God.क्रेती र अरबीयाबटा। हामी कतिपय जन्मजात यहूदीहरू हौं अनि अरू कतिलाई यहूदी धर्ममा परिवर्तन गरिको छ। हामी ती विभिन्न देशहरूबाट आएका हौं। तर हामी ती मानिसहरूलाई हाम्रो आफ्नै भाषामा सुन्न सक्छौं। तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको विषयमा भनेका सबै महान कुराहरू हामी बुझ्न सक्छौं।”

12 And they were all surprised and in doubt saying to one another, What is the reason of this?मानिसहरू सबै आर्श्चय चकित र अलमल्ल भए। तिनीहरूले आपसमा प्रश्न गरे, “यसको मतलब के हुन सक्थ्यो?”

13 But others, making sport of them, said, They are full of new wine.तर अन्य मानिसहरू तिनीहरूमाथि हाँसिरहेका थिए। ती मानिसहरूले सोचे कि प्रेरितहरूले खुब दाखरस पिए अनि माते।

14 But Peter, getting up, with the eleven, said in a loud voice, O men of Judaea, and all you who are living in Jerusalem, take note of this and give ear to my words.त्यसपछि पत्रुस अन्य एघार जना प्रेरितहरूसित उभिए। सबै जनसमुदायले सुन्ने गरेर उनले जोडसंग कराएर भने। उनले भने, “मेरा यहूदी दाज्यु-भाइहरू र यरूशलेमाका बासिन्दाहरू, मलाई ध्यान दिएर सुन! म तिमीहरूले जान्नु पर्ने आवश्यक कुराहरू भन्न लागेको छु।

15 For these men are not overcome with wine, as it seems to you, for it is only the third hour of the day;यी मानिसहरू तिमीहरूले सोचे जस्तै मातेका छैनन्। अहिले बिहानको भर्खर नौ मात्र बजेको छ।

16 But this is the thing which was said by the prophet Joel;आज यहाँ भइरहेका कुरा अगमवक्ता योएलले भनेका हुन्

17 And it will come about, in the last days, says God, that I will send out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will be prophets, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams:‘परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छःअन्तिम दिनहरूमा सबै मानिसहरूमाथि मेरो आत्मा खन्याइदिनेछु, तिम्रा छोरा अनि छोरीहरूले अगमवाणी गर्नेछन्। तिम्रा जवान मानिसहरूले दर्शनहरू देख्नेछन्। तिम्रा बूढा मानिसहरूले विशेष दर्शनहरू देख्नेछन्।

18 And on my men-servants and my women-servants I will send my Spirit, and they will be prophets.त्यसबेला, म मेरो आत्मा खनाउनेछु, मेरो सेवकहरू, पुरुष र स्त्रीहरूमाथि, अनि तिनीहरूले अगमवाणी गर्नेछन्।

19 And wonders will be seen in heaven, and signs on the earth, blood and fire and smoke:म छक्क पर्दो चीजहरूमाथि आकाशमा देखाउनेछु, तल पृथ्वीमा, म प्रमाणहरू दिनेछु। त्यहाँ रगत, आगो, र घना धूँवा हुनेछ।

20 The sun will become dark and the moon will be turned to blood, before that great day of the Lord comes in glory:घाम अन्धकारमय भई बद्लिने छ अनि जुन रगत सरह रक्तिम हुनेछ तब परमप्रभुको महान् र महिमामय दिन आउनेछ।

21 And whoever makes his prayer to the Lord will have salvation.अनि हरेक मानिस ज-जसले परमप्रभुमाथि विश्वास गर्नेछ बचाइनेछ।’

22 Men of Israel, give ear to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man who had the approval of God, as was made clear to you by the great works and signs and wonders which God did by him among you, as you yourselves have knowledge,“मेरो यहूदी दाज्यु-भाइहरू, यी शब्दहरूमा ध्यान देऊः नासरतको बासिन्दा येशू विशिष्ट मानिस हुनुहुन्थ्यो। परमेश्वरले यो स्पष्ट रुपमा तिमीहरूलाई देखाउनु भयो। परमेश्वरले येशूको माध्यमद्वारा शक्तिशाली अनि आर्श्चजनक कुराहरू गरेर यसलाई प्रमाण गर्नुभयो। तिमीहरू सबै जनाले यी कुराहरू देखेका छौ।

23 Him, when he was given up, by the decision and knowledge of God, you put to death on the cross, by the hands of evil men:येशूलाई तिमीहरूमा सुम्पिएको थियो अनि तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई मारयौ। ती मानिसहरूका सहायता लिएर जोसित परमेश्वरको नियम छैन तिमीहरूले येशूलाई क्रूसमा किला ठोक्यौ। तर परमेश्वरलाई यी सबै घटना हुने थाहा थियो। यो परमेश्वरकै योजना थियो। परमेश्वरले यो योजना धेरै अघि बनाउनु भएको थियो।

24 But God gave him back to life, having made him free from the pains of death because it was not possible for him to be overcome by it.येशूले मृत्युको पीडा खप्नु परयो, तर परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई मृत्युबाट छुटकारा दिनुभयो। मृत्युले येशूलाई समाल्न सकेन। परमेश्वरले येशूलाई मृत्युबाट ल्याउनु भयो।

25 For David said of him, I saw the Lord before my face at all times, for he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved:दाऊदले येशूको विषयमा यस्तो भनेका थिएः‘सधैं मैले प्रभुलाई सम्मुख देखें, मलाई बचाउँन उहाँ मेरो दाहिनेतिर हुनुहुन्छ।’

26 And for this cause my heart was glad and my tongue full of joy, and my flesh will be resting in hope:यसैले मेरो हृदय आनन्दित छ र मेरो मुख आनन्दसित बोल्दछ। मेरो शरीले पनि आशामा भरोसा गर्नेछ।

27 For you will not let my soul be in hell and you will not give up your Holy One to destruction.किनभने तपाईंले मेरो प्राणलाई पातालमा छोडनुहुनेछैन। तिमीहरूले आफ्ना एक पवित्र जनलाई चिहानमा कुहुनुदिनेछैनौ।

28 You have made me see the ways of life; I will be full of joy when I see your face.तिमीहरूले मलाई कसरी बाँच्न सिकायौ तिमीहरू मेरो छेउमा आउनेछौ अनि मलाई आनन्दले भरिदिनेछौ।’

29 My brothers, I may say to you openly that David came to his death, and was put in the earth, and his resting-place is with us today.“मेरा दाज्यु-भाइहरू, म तिमीहरूलाई पूर्ण रूपले हाम्रा पुर्खा दाऊदको विषयमा भन्न सक्छु। उहाँ मर्नु भयो र गाडियो। उहाँको चिहान अझ सम्म हामीसंग छ।

30 But being a prophet, and having in mind the oath which God had given to him, that of the fruit of his body one would take his place as a king,दाऊद एक अगमवक्ता थिए अनि परमेश्वरले भन्नु भएका कुराहरू जान्दथे। परमेश्वरले दाऊदलाई वचन दिनु भएको थियो कि उनकै परिवारबाट कुनै एकजनालाई दाऊद जस्तै राजा बनाउनेछु भनी।

31 He, having knowledge of the future, was talking of the coming again of Christ from the dead, that he was not kept in hell and his body did not see destruction.यस्तो घटना हुन अघि नै दाऊदलाई यो कुरा थाहा थियो। यसैकारण येशूको पुनरुत्थानको विषयमा दाऊदले भनेः‘उहाँलाई नरकमा छाडिएको थिएन। उहाँको शरीर चिहानमा सडेन।’

32 This Jesus God has given back to life, of which we all are witnesses.यो उनै येशू हुन जसलाई परमेश्वरले मृत्युबाट बौराए, हामी सबै त्यस सत्यको गवाही छौं।

33 And so, being lifted up to the right hand of God, and having the Father's word that the Holy Spirit would come, he has sent this thing, which now you see and have knowledge of.यसकारण परमेश्वरले उहाँको दाहिने पट्टि येशूलाई उठाउनु भयो। परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई पवित्र आत्मा दिनु भयो, जो उहाँले दिन प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भएको थियो। अनि उहाँले त्यो पवित्र आत्मा खनाउनु भयो जो तिमीहरूले अहिले देख्छौ अनि सुन्छौ।

34 For David has not gone up into heaven, but says, himself, The Lord said to my Lord, Be seated at my right hand,दाऊद स्वर्गमा चढिगएनन्। यो त येशू हुनुहुन्थ्यो जो स्वर्ग जानुभयो। दाऊद आफैले भनेः‘परमप्रभुले मेरो प्रभुलाई भन्नु भयोः मेरो दाहिने त10र्फ बस,

35 Till I put all those who are against you under your feet.जबसम्म तिम्रा शत्रुहरू तिम्रो पाइताला मुनि राख्दिन।

36 For this reason, let all Israel be certain that this Jesus, whom you put to death on the cross, God has made Lord and Christ.“यसैले सबै यहूदी मानिसहरूले यो सत्यलाई जान्नु पर्छः परमेश्वरले येशूलाई प्रभु र ख्रीष्ट बनाउनु भयो। उहाँ त्यही मानिस हुनुहुन्थ्यो जसलाई तिमीहरूले क्रूसमा किला ठोक्यौ।”

37 Now when these words came to their ears their hearts were troubled, and they said to Peter and the other Apostles, Brothers, what are we to do?जब मानिसहरूले त्यो सुने तिनीहरू अत्यन्तै दुःखीत भए। तिनीहरूले पत्रुस र अन्य प्रेरितहरूलाई सोधे, “हे भाइहरू हो, हामीले के गर्नु पर्छ?”

38 And Peter said, Let your hearts be changed, every one of you, and have baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will have the Holy Spirit given to you.पत्रुसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूका हृदयहरू अनि जीवनहरू परिवर्तन गर, तब तिमीहरू प्रत्येक येशू ख्रीष्टको नाउँमा बप्तिस्मा लेओ। तब परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूका पापहरूलाई क्षमा गरिदिनु हुनेछ र तिमीहरूले पवित्र-आत्माको उपहार पाउनछौ।

39 For the word of God is for you and for your children and for all those who are far off, even all those who may be marked out by the Lord our God.यो प्रतिज्ञा तिमीहरूको लागि अनि तिमीहरूको बालकहरूको लागि अनि ती सबै मानिसहरूका लागि पनि हो जो टाढा छन्। यो ती प्रत्येक मानिसको लागि हो जसलाई प्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरले आफैमा बोलाउनु हुन्छ।”

40 And with more such words he gave his witness, offering them salvation and saying, Come out from this evil generation.पत्रुसले तिनीहरूलाई यी अनि अन्य अनेक शब्दहरूद्वारा चेतावनी पनि दिए, “उनीहरूलाई आग्रह गरे कि स्वयं तिमीहरूले यी दुष्ट पुस्ताबाट जोगाऊ।”

41 Then those who gave hearing to his words had baptism: and about three thousand souls were joined to them that day.तब ती मानिसहरू जसले पत्रुसका सन्देश माने, बप्तिस्मा लिए। त्यस दिनमा झण्डै तीन हजार जति मानिसहरू विश्वासीहरूको झुण्डमा थपिए।

42 And they kept their attention fixed on the Apostles' teaching and were united together in the taking of broken bread and in prayer.ती विश्वासीहरू लगातार आपसमा भेटघाट गरिरहे। तिनीहरूले आफ्ना समय प्रेरितहरूले दिएका शिक्षा सिक्नमा प्रयोग गरे। तिनीहरू एकअर्कामा साझेदार भए। तिनीहरू एक साथ खाँदै थिए अनि एक साथ प्रार्थना गर्दै थिए।

43 But fear came on every soul: and all sorts of wonders and signs were done by the Apostles.प्रेरितहरूले धेरै शक्तिपूर्ण र आर्श्चयपूर्ण कामहरू गरे। अनि प्रत्येक मानिसले आर्श्चय मिश्रित भय अनुभव गरे।

44 And all those who were of the faith kept together, and had all things in common;सबै विश्वासीहरू संगै बसे। सबै कुराहरू आपसमा बाँडचुँड गरे।

45 And exchanging their goods and property for money, they made division of it among them all, as they had need.विश्वासीहरूले आफ्नो जमीनहरू र आफ्नो जे जति सम्पत्तिहरू थिए, सबै बेचे अनि बेचेर पाएको पैसा हरेक मानिसको आवश्यकताको अनुपातमा बाँडे।

46 And day by day, going in agreement together regularly to the Temple and, taking broken bread together in their houses, they took their food with joy and with true hearts,तिनीहरूको प्रत्येक दिन मन्दिर प्राङ्गाणमा भेट हुन्थ्यो। तिनीहरू सबैको एउटै उद्देश्य थियो। तिनीहरू आनन्दित भएर अनि इमान्दारी हृदय लिएर आफ्ना घरमा सँगै रोटी टुक्राए अनि खाए।

47 Giving praise to God, and having the approval of all the people; and every day the number of those who had salvation was increased by the Lord.तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गरे अनि सबै मानिसहरूले उनीहरूलाई मन पराउँथे। अधिक भन्दा अधिक मानिसहरूले संरक्षण पाए र प्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई विश्वासीहरूको हूलमा सम्मिलित गरे।पत्रुसले एक लङ्गडो मानिसलाई निको पार्दछन्।
