1 And it cometh to pass afterwards that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and David taketh the bridle of the metropolis out of the hand of the Philistines.पछि, दाऊदले पलिश्तीहरूलाई जित्छन्। पलिश्तीहरूको राजधानी शहरले ठूलो भू-भाग नियमन्त्रणमा राखेका थिए। दाऊदले त्यस भू-भाग माथि अधिकार जमाए।

2 And he smiteth Moab, and measureth them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measureth two lines to put to death, and the fulness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are to David for servants, bearers of a present.दाऊदले मोआबका जनतालाई पनि हराए। तिनीहरूलाई जमिनमा लमतन्न सुत्न बाद्य बनाए। तब तिनले एउटा डोरीले नापे। प्रत्येक दुइ नापभित्र पर्न आएकालाई मार्न अह्राए र तेस्रो नापमा परेकालाई छोडिदिए। यसरी मोआबका मानिसहरू दाऊदका सेवक बनिए। तिनीहरूले उनलाई राजस्व बुझाए।

3 And David smiteth Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, in his going to bring back his power by the River `Euphrates;'रहोबका छोरा हददेजेर सोआका राजा थिए। यूफ्रेटिस नदी क्षेत्रमा अधिकार जमाउन लाग्दा दाऊदले हददेजेरलाई परास्त गरे।

4 and David captureth from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly the whole of the charioteers, only he leaveth of them a hundred charioteers.दाऊदले हददेजेरबाट 1,700 घोडसवार सैनिक र 20,000 पैदल सेना कब्जामा पारे। 100 बाहेक सबै घोडाहरूलाई दाऊदले लङ्गडा बनाईदिए।

5 And Aram of Damascus cometh to give help to Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth of Aram twenty and two thousand men;दमिशकका अरामीहरू सोबाका राजा हददेजेरलाई सहायता पुर्याउन आए। तर दाऊदले ती 22,000 अरामीहरूलाई परास्त गरे।

6 and David putteth garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram is to David for a servant, bearing a present; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone;त्यसपछि दाऊदले दमिशकको अराममा सेनाको एउटा छाउनी बनाए। अरामीहरू दाऊदका सेवक भए र राजस्व ल्याए। परमप्रभुले दाऊदलाई जता-ततै विजय गराउनु भयो।

7 and David taketh the shields of gold which were on the servants of Hadadezer, and bringeth them to Jerusalem;दाऊदले हददेजेरका सेवकहरूबाट सुनका ढालहरू लिए। दाऊदले ती ढालहरू येरूशलेममा ल्याए।

8 and from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, hath king David taken very much brass.दाऊदले काँसका धेरै-धेरै सामानहरू तेबह र बेरौतैबाट प्राप्त गरे। (तेवहर बेरौतै शहरूहरू हददेजेरका अधिनमा थिए।)

9 And Toi king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten all the force of Hadadezer,हमातका राजा तोईले हददेजेरका सम्पूर्ण सेनालाई दाऊदले परास्त गरेको खबर सुने।

10 and Toi sendeth Joram his son unto king David to ask of him of welfare, and to bless him, (because that he hath fought against Hadadezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars `with' Toi had Hadadezer been), and in his hand have been vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass,यसकारण तोईले आफ्ना छोरा योरामलाई दाऊदकहाँ पठाए। दाऊदले हददेजेरलाई परास्त गरेकोले योरामले दाऊदलाई अभिनन्दन गर्दै आशीर्वाद दिए, हददेजेरले तोईसँग पहिले धेरै चोटि युद्ध लडेका थिए। योरामले सुन, चाँदी र काँसका सामानहरू ल्याएका थिए।

11 also them did king David sanctify to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold which he sanctified of all the nations which he subdued:दाऊदले ती सम्पूर्ण सामानहरू परमप्रभुमा अर्पण गरे। दाऊदले पहिले धेरै राष्ट्रहरूलाई पराजित गरी ल्याएर अपर्णगरेका सामानहरूसँगै ती सामानहरूराखे।

12 of Aram, and of Moab, and of the Bene-Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob king of Zobah.दाऊदले अराम, मोआब, अम्मोन, पलिश्ती अमालेकहरूलाई हराए। सोबाका राजा रहोबको छोरा हददेजेरलाई पनि हराए।

13 And David maketh a name in his turning back from his smiting Aram in the valley of Salt -- eighteen thousand;दाऊदले 18,000 अरामीहरूलाई खारको बेसीमा मारे। तिनी घर फर्कदा साह्रै ख्याती कमाए।

14 and he putteth in Edom garrisons -- in all Edom he hath put garrisons, and all Edom are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.दाऊदले एदोममा सैनिक छाउनीहरू बनाए। एदोमका सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्रमा सैनिक छाउनी बनाए। एदोमका सबै मानिसहरू दाऊदका सेवक बने। परमप्रभुले दाऊदलाई जता ततै विजय दिलाउनु भयो।

15 And David reigneth over all Israel, and David is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,दाऊदले इस्राएलभरि नै शासन गरे। दाऊदले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई असल र निष्पक्ष न्याय दिन्थे।

16 and Joab son of Zeruiah `is' over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud `is' remembrancer,सरूयाहका छोरा योआब सेनाका कप्तान थिए। अहिलूदका छोरा यहोशापात लेखपाल थिए।

17 and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, `are' priests, and Seraiah `is' scribe,अहीतूबका छोरा सादोक र एबीयातारका छोरा अहीमेलेक पूजाहारीहरू थिए। सरायाह सचिव थिए।

18 and Benaiah son of Jehoiada `is over' both the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the sons of David have been ministers.यहोयादाका छोरा बनायाह करेती र पलेतीहरूका निम्ति अधिकारी थिए। अनि दाऊदका छोराहरू चाहि प्रमुख थिए।
