2 Samuel 2 - BBE (Nepali)

1 Now after this, David, questioning the Lord, said, Am I to go up into any of the towns of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. And David said, Where am I to go? And he said, To Hebron.पछि दाऊदले परमप्रभुसँग सल्लाह मागे। दाऊदले भने, “के म यहूदाको कुनै शहरमा जाऊँ?”परमप्रभुले दाऊदलाई भन्नु भो, “हो जाऊ।”दाऊदले भने, “त्यसो हो भने म कहाँ जाऊँ।”परमप्रभुले भन्नु भो, “हेब्रोनतर्फ।”

2 So David went there, taking with him his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail, the wife of Nabal of Carmel.त्यसै कारण दाऊद आफ्ना दुइवटी पत्नी लिएर हेब्रोनतिर लागे। (उसका पत्नीहरू यिज्रेलीबाटकी अहीनोअम र कर्मेलको नाबाल की विधवा अबीगेल थिए।)

3 And David took all his men with him, every man with his family: and they were living in the towns round Hebron.दाऊदले तिनका मानिस र उनीहरूका परिवारलाई पनि ल्याए। तिनी सबै हेब्रोन शहरको छेउछाउमा बसे।

4 And the men of Judah came there, and with the holy oil made David king over the people of Judah. And word came to David that it was the men of Jabesh-gilead who put Saul's body in its last resting-place.यहूदाका मानिसहरू हेब्रोनमा आए र दाऊदलाई यहूदाका राजाको रूपमा अभिषेक गरे। अनि तिनीहरूले भने, “याबेश गिलादका मानिसहरूले नै शाऊलको लासलाई गाडेका हुन्।”

5 And David sent to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, May the Lord give you his blessing, because you have done this kind act to Saul your lord, and have put his body to rest!दाऊदले उसका दूतहरूलाई याबेश गिलादमा पठाए। याबेशमा दूतहरूले भने, “परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूलाई आशिर्वाद दिउन्। तपाईंको स्वामी शाऊल खरानी भएको कारण

6 May the Lord be good and true to you: and I myself will see that your kind act is rewarded, because you have done this thing.परमप्रभु तपाईं प्रति दयालु र विश्वासयोग्य हुनुहुन्छ र म पनि तपाईंप्रति दयालु हुनेछु किनभने तपाईंले यस्तो दयालु कार्यहरू गर्नु भएकोछ।

7 Then let your hands be strong, and have no fear: though Saul your lord is dead, the people of Judah have made me their king.अब बलियो र सहासी बन्नुहोस्। तपाईंहरूका स्वामी शाऊल बित्नुभयो। तर यहूदाका परिवार समूहले मलाई तिनीहरूका राजाको रूपमा अभिषेक गरे।”

8 Now Abner, the son of Ner, captain of Saul's army, had taken Saul's son Ish-bosheth over to Mahanaim,नेरका छोरा अबनेर शाऊलको फौजमा कप्तान थिए, अबनेरले शाऊलका छोरा ईश्बोशेतलाई महनैम लगे।

9 And made him king over Gilead and the Asherites and over Jezreel and Ephraim and Benjamin, that is, over all Israel.गिलाद, अशूर, यिज्रेल, एप्रैम, बिन्यामीन अनि सम्पूर्ण इस्राएलको राजा बनाए।

10 (Saul's son Ish-bosheth was forty years old when he became king over Israel, and he was ruler for two years.) But Judah was on the side of David.ईश्बोशेत शाऊलका छोरा थिए। उसले इस्राएलमाथि शासन गर्दा उनी 40 वर्षका थिए। उनले 2 वर्ष शासन गरे। तर यहूदाका परिवार समूहले दाऊदलाई पच्छ्याए।

11 And the time when David was king in Hebron over the people of Judah was seven years and six months.दाऊद हेब्रोनमा राजा थिए। दाऊदले यहूदाका परिवार समूहलाई साँढे सात वर्ष शासन गरे।

12 And Abner, the son of Ner, with the servants of Saul's son Ish-bosheth, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.नेरका छोरा अबनेर र शाऊलका छोरा ईश्बोशेतका अधिकारीहरूले महनैम त्यागे र गिबोन गए।

13 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out and came face to face with them by the pool of Gibeon; and they took up their position, facing one another on opposite sides of the pool.सुरूयाहका छोरा योआब र दाऊदका अधिकारीहरू पनि गिबोन गए। तिनीहरूले अबनेर र ईश्बोशेतका अधिकारीहरूलाई गिबोनको पोखरीछेउमा भेट्टाए। अबनेरका मानिसहरू पोखरीको एक छेउमा थिए अनि योआबका मानिसहरू अर्को छेउमा थिए।

14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men give a test of their strength before us. And Joab said, Let them do so.अबनेरले योआबलाई भने, “यी सैनिकहरू माझ एउटा होडबाजी गराऔं।”योआबले भने, “ठीक छ होडबाजी होस्।”

15 So they got up and went over by number: twelve for Benjamin and Ish-bosheth and twelve of the servants of David.यसकारण सैनिकहरू उठे। दुइ समूहमा आफ्ना आफ्ना सैनिकहरूको संख्या निर्धारण गरे। तिनीहरूले बाह्रा सैनिक बिन्यामीन समूहबाट शाऊलको छोराको पक्षमा छाने। तिनीहरूले दाऊदका अधिकारीहरूबाट बाह्र जना मानिसहरू छाने।

16 And every one got the other by the head, driving his sword into the other's side, so they all went down together: and that place was named the Field of Sides, and it is in Gibeon.प्रत्येक मानिसले शत्रु सेनाहरूको शिर समाते अनि उसको कोखामा आफ्नो तरवार रोपिदिए। तब तिनीहरू लडे अनि एकैसाथ मरे। यसैकारणले यस ठाउँको नाउँ, “धारिलो छुरिहरूको मैदान।” भनिन थालियो। त्यो ठाउँ गिबोनमा छ।

17 And there was hard fighting that day; and Abner and the men of Israel gave way before the servants of David.त्यो होडबाजीले भयंकर युद्धको रूप लियो अनि दाऊदका अधिकारीहरूले त्यस दिन अबनेर र इस्राएलीहरूलाई हराए।

18 There were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab and Abishai and Asahel: and Asahel was as quick-footed as a roe of the fields.सरूयाहका तीनजना छोराहरू योआब, अबीशै र असाहेल नामका थिए। असाहेल जंगली मृग जस्तै कुद्न सक्थे।

19 Asahel went running after Abner, not turning to the right or to the left.असाहेल सिधा अबनेर तिर दगुरे र उसलाई खेद्न थाले।

20 Then Abner, looking back, said, Is it you, Asahel? And he said, It is I.अबनेर पछि फर्केर हेरे र सोधे, “अरे तिमी हौ असाहेल?”असाहेलले भन्यो, “हो, मै हुँ।”

21 And Abner said, Then go to the right or to the left and put your hands on one of the fighting-men and take his arms. But Asahel would not be turned away from going after Abner.अबनेरले असाहेललाई कुनै घात गर्न चाहेका थिएनन्। यसकारण अबनेरले भने, “मलाई नखेद-बरू कुनै अर्को सैनिकलाई खेद। तिमीले उसलाई जित्ने छौ अनि उसको हतियार लैजाऊ।” तर असाहेलले अबनेरलाई खेद्न छोडेनन्।

22 Then again Abner said to Asahel, Go to one side, do not keep on coming after me: why will you make me put an end to you? for then I will be shamed before your brother Joab.फेरि पनि अबनेरले भने, “मेरो पिछा गर्न छाडि देऊ, होइन भने मेरो हातबाट तिम्रो हत्या हुन्छ। यदि तिमी मेरो हातबाट मारियौ भने मैले तिम्रा दाज्यू योआबलाई कसरी मुख देखाउनु।”

23 But still he did not go to one side: so Abner gave him a back blow in the stomach with his spear, so that the spear came out at his back; and he went down on the earth, wounded to death: and all those who came to the place where Asahel went down dead, came to a stop.तर असाहेलले उसलाई पिछा नगर्न इन्कार गरे। यसकारण अबनेरले आफ्ना भालाको टुप्पोले असाहेलको भुँडीमा उनिदियो। भाला असाहेलको पछाडिपट्टि निस्कियो। अनि असाहेल त्यँही मर्यो।असाहेलको लास भुइँमा लड्‌यो। मानिसहरूले हतार-हतार गएर हेरे।

24 But Joab and Abishai went after Abner: and the sun went down when they came to the hill of Ammah, which is to the east of the road through the waste land of Geba.तर योआब र अबीशैले भने अबनेर कै पछि लागे। अम्मा पहाडको पछिल्लो तिर सुर्य अस्ताउँदै थियो। (अम्मा पहाड गीहको अगाडितिर गिबोन मरूभूमि जाने बाटो तिर पर्थ्यो)

25 And the men of Benjamin came together after Abner in one band, and took their places on the top of a hill.बिन्यामीन परिवार समूहका मानिसहरू पहाडमा अबनेर कहाँ आए अनि अबनेरलाई सहायता गर्न भेला भए।

26 Then crying out to Joab, Abner said, Are fighting and destruction to go on for ever? do you not see that the end will only be bitter? how long will it be before you send the people back and make them give up attacking their countrymen?अबनेरले योआबलाई चिच्याएर भनें, “के हामी सधैं एका-अर्कासँग भिडिरहने? यसबाट दुःख बाहेक केही हात लाग्दैन। मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नै दायू-भाइहरूलाई नखेद्नु भनेर भन।”

27 And Joab said, By the living God, if you had not given the word, the people would have gone on attacking their countrymen till the morning.तब योआबले भन्यो, “परमेश्वरको नाममा तिमीले जे भन्दैछौ ठीक हो। यदि तिमीले केही नभनेको भए मानिसहरूले आफ्ना दाजु-भाइलाई बिहान सम्मै खेदिरहने थिए।”

28 So Joab had a horn sounded, and all the people came to a stop, and gave up going after Israel and fighting them.यसकरण योआबले उसको तुरही फूक्यो अनि मानिसहरूले इस्राएलीहरूलाई खेद्न छोडे। तिनीहरूले फेरि इस्राएलीहरूसित युद्ध गर्ने कोशिश गरेनन्।

29 And all that night Abner and his men went through the Arabah; they went over Jordan and through all Bithron and came to Mahanaim.अबनेर र तिनका मानिसहरू यर्दन बेंसी भएर रातभरि हिंडे। तिनीहरूले यर्दन नदी पार गरी दिनभरिमा महनैम पुगे।

30 And Joab came back from fighting Abner: and when he had got all his men together, it was seen that nineteen of David's men, in addition to Asahel, were not with them.योआबले अबनेरलाई खेद्न छोडे र फर्के। योआबले जब उसका मानिसहरू भेला गराए पछि थाहा भयो असाहेल बाहेक दाऊदका 19 जना अधिकारीहरू हराएकाछन्।

31 But David's men had put to death three hundred and sixty of the men of Benjamin and of Abner's menतर दाऊदका अधिकारीहरूले अबनेर बिन्यामीन परिवार समूहका 360 जना मानिसहरू मारेछन्।

32 And they took Asahel's body and put it in the last resting-place of his father in Beth-lehem. And Joab and his men, travelling all night, came to Hebron at dawn.दाऊदका अधिकारीहरूले असाहेलको लासलाई उसैका बाबुको चिहानको छेउ बेतेलहमा गाडे।योआब अनि उसका मानिसहरू रातभरि हिंडे। तिनीहरू हेब्रोन पुग्दा घाम भरखर झुल्कँदै थियो।
