1 Timothy 4 in Tamil

1 ஆகிலும், ஆவியானவர் வெளிப்படையாய்ச் சொல்லுகிறபடி, பிற்காலங்களிலே மனச்சாட்சியில் சூடுண்ட பொய்யருடைய மாயத்தினாலே சிலர் வஞ்சிக்கிற ஆவிகளுக்கும் பிசாசுகளின் உபதேசங்களுக்கும் செவிகொடுத்து, விசுவாசத்தைவிட்டு விலகிப்போவார்கள். Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 விவாகம்பண்ணாதிருக்கவும், Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 விசுவாசிகளும் சத்தியத்தை அறிந்தவர்களும் ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே அநுபவிக்கும்படி தேவன் படைத்த போஜனபதார்த்தங்களை விலக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்று அந்தப் பொய்யர் கட்டளையிடுவார்கள். Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 தேவன் படைத்ததெல்லாம் நல்லதாயிருக்கிறது; ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுமாகில் ஒன்றும் தள்ளப்படத்தக்கதல்ல. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 அது தேவவசனத்தினாலும் ஜெபத்தினாலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்படும். For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 இவைகளை நீ சகோதரருக்குப் போதித்துவந்தால், விசுவாசத்திற்குரிய வார்த்தைகளிலும் நீ அநுசரித்த நற்போதகத்திலும் தேறினவனாகி, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நல்ல ஊழியக்காரனாயிருப்பாய். If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 சீர்கேடும் கிழவிகள் பேச்சுமாயிருக்கிற கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்கு விலகி, தேவபக்திக்கேதுவாக முயற்சிபண்ணு. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 சரீர முயற்சி அற்ப பிரயோஜனமுள்ளது; தேவபக்தியானது இந்த ஜீவனுக்கும் இதற்குப் பின்வரும் ஜீவனுக்கும் வாக்குத்தத்தமுள்ளதாகையால் எல்லாவற்றிலும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளது. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 இந்த வார்த்தை உண்மையும் எல்லா அங்கிகரிப்புக்கும் பாத்திரமுமாயிருக்கிறது. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 இதினிமித்தம் பிரயாசப்படுகிறோம், நிந்தையும் அடைகிறோம்; ஏனெனில் எல்லா மனுஷருக்கும், விசேஷமாக விசுவாசிகளுக்கும் இரட்சகராகிய ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கை, வைத்திருக்கிறோம். For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 இவைகளை நீ கட்டளையிட்டுப் போதித்துக்கொண்டிரு. These things command and teach.

12 உன் இளமையைக்குறித்து ஒருவனும் உன்னை அசட்டைபண்ணாதபடிக்கு, நீ வார்த்தையிலும், நடக்கையிலும், அன்பிலும், ஆவியிலும், விசுவாசத்திலும், கற்பிலும், விசுவாசிகளுக்கு மாதிரியாயிரு. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 நான் வருமளவும் வாசிக்கிறதிலும் புத்திசொல்லுகிறதிலும் உபதேசிக்கிறதிலும் ஜாக்கிரதையாயிரு. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 மூப்பராகிய சங்கத்தார் உன்மேல் கைகளை வைத்தபோது தீர்க்கதரிசத்தினால் உனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட வரத்தைப்பற்றி அசதியாயிராதே. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 நீ தேறுகிறது யாவருக்கும் விளங்கும்படி இவைகளையே சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டு, இவைகளிலே நிலைத்திரு. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 உன்னைக்குறித்தும் உபதேசத்தைக்குறித்தும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு, இவைகளில் நிலைகொண்டிரு, இப்படிச் செய்வாயானால், உன்னையும் உன் உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்பவர்களையும் இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுவாய். Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

1 Aakilum, Aaviyaanavar velippataiyaaych sollukirapati, pirkaalangalilae manachchaாtchiyil soodunnda poyyarutaiya maayaththinaalae silar vanjikkira aavikalukkum pisaasukalin upathaesangalukkum sevikoduththu, visuvaasaththaivittu vilakippovaarkal. 2 Vivaakampannnnaathirukkavum, Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Visuvaasikalum saththiyaththai arinthavarkalum sthoththiraththotae anupavikkumpati Dhevan pataiththa pojanapathaarththangalai vilakkavum vaenndumentu anthap poyyar kattalaiyiduvaarkal. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 Dhevan pataiththathellaam nallathaayirukkirathu; sthoththiraththotae aettaுkkollappadumaakil ontum thallappadaththakkathalla. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 Athu thaevavasanaththinaalum jepaththinaalum Parisuththamaakkappadum. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 Ivaikalai nee sakothararukkup pothiththuvanthaal, visuvaasaththirkuriya vaarththaikalilum nee anusariththa narpothakaththilum thaerinavanaaki, YesuKristhuvukku nalla ooliyakkaaranaayiruppaay. 7 Seerkaedum kilavikal paechchumaayirukkira kattukkathaikalukku vilaki, thaevapakthikkaethuvaaka muyarsipannnu. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 Sareera muyarsi arpa pirayojanamullathu; thaevapakthiyaanathu intha jeevanukkum itharkup pinvarum jeevanukkum vaakkuththaththamullathaakaiyaal ellaavattilum pirayojanamullathu. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 Intha vaarththai unnmaiyum ellaa angikarippukkum paaththiramumaayirukkirathu. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 Ithinimiththam pirayaasappadukirom, ninthaiyum ataikirom; aenenil ellaa manusharukkum, viseshamaaka visuvaasikalukkum iratchakaraakiya jeevanulla Dhevanmael nampikkai, vaiththirukkirom. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 Ivaikalai nee kattalaiyittup pothiththukkonntiru. These things command and teach.

12 Un ilamaiyaikkuriththu oruvanum unnai asattaைpannnnaathapatikku, nee vaarththaiyilum, nadakkaiyilum, anpilum, aaviyilum, visuvaasaththilum, karpilum, visuvaasikalukku maathiriyaayiru. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Naan varumalavum vaasikkirathilum puththisollukirathilum upathaesikkirathilum jaakkirathaiyaayiru. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Moopparaakiya sangaththaar unmael kaikalai vaiththapothu theerkkatharisaththinaal unakku alikkappatta varaththaippatti asathiyaayiraathae. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Nee thaeraுkirathu yaavarukkum vilangumpati ivaikalaiyae sinthiththukkonndu, ivaikalilae nilaiththiru. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Unnaikkuriththum upathaesaththaikkuriththum echcharikkaiyaayiru, ivaikalil nilaikonntiru, ippatich seyvaayaanaal, unnaiyum un upathaesaththaik kaetpavarkalaiyum iratchiththukkolluvaay. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
