ആകയാൽ ആഹാരം എന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു ഇടർച്ചയായിത്തീരും എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു ഇടർച്ച വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും മാംസം തിന്നുകയില്ല.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

American Standard Version (ASV)
Wherefore, if meat causeth my brother to stumble, I will eat no flesh for evermore, that I cause not my brother to stumble.
