Romans 4 - ASV (Malayalam)

1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh?എന്നാൽ നമ്മുടെ പൂർവ്വപിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം ജഡപ്രകാരം എന്തു പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു പറയേണ്ടു?

2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God.അബ്രാഹാം പ്രവൃത്തിയാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എങ്കിൽ അവന്നു പ്രശംസിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി ഉണ്ടു; ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ഇല്ലതാനും,

3 For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.തിരുവെഴുത്തു എന്തു പറയുന്നു? “അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു” എന്നു തന്നേ.

4 Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt.എന്നാൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവന്നു കൂലി കണക്കിടുന്നതു കൃപയായിട്ടല്ല കടമായിട്ടത്രേ.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്തവൻ എങ്കിലും അഭക്തനെ നിതീകരിക്കുന്നവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നോ അവന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നീതിയായി കണക്കിടുന്നു.

6 Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works,ദൈവം പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുടാതെ നീതികണക്കിടുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഭാഗ്യം ദാവീദും വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നതു:

7 `saying', Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.“അധർമ്മം മോചിച്ചും പാപം മറെച്ചും കിട്ടിയവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

8 Blessed is the man to whom, the Lord will not reckon sin.കർത്താവു പാപം കണക്കിടാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.”

9 Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness.ഈ ഭാഗ്യവർണ്ണനം പരിച്ഛേദനെക്കോ? അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിന്നു കൂടെയോ? അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു വിശ്വാസം നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു എന്നല്ലോ നാം പറയുന്നതു.

10 How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision:എങ്ങനെ കണക്കിട്ടതു? പരിച്ഛേദനയിലോ? അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിലോ? പരിച്ഛേദനയിലല്ല. അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിലത്രേ.

11 and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision; that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു വിശ്വാസനീതിക്കു മുദ്രയായി പരിച്ഛേദന എന്ന അടയാളം അവന്നു ലഭിച്ചതു അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തോട വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്കും കൂടെ നീതി കണക്കിടപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം താൻ അവർക്കു എല്ലാവർക്കും പിതാവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

12 and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.പരിച്ഛേദന മാത്രമുള്ളവരല്ല നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവരുമായ പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർക്കു പിതാവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

13 For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.ലോകാവകാശി ആകും എന്നുള്ള വാഗ്ദത്തം അബ്രാഹാമിന്നോ അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കോ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താലല്ല വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ നീതിയാലല്ലോ ലഭിച്ചതു.

14 For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:എന്നാൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവർ അവകാശികൾ എങ്കിൽ വിശ്വാസം വ്യർത്ഥവും വാഗ്ദത്തം ദുർബ്ബലവും എന്നു വരും.

15 for the law worketh wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.ന്യായപ്രമാണമോ കോപത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാത്തേടത്തു ലംഘനവുമില്ല.

16 For this cause `it is' of faith, that `it may be' according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us allഅതുകൊണ്ടു കൃപാദാനം എന്നു വരേണ്ടതിന്നു വിശ്വാസത്താലത്രേ അവകാശികൾ ആകുന്നതു; വാഗ്ദത്തം സകലസന്തതിക്കും, ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവർക്കു മാത്രമല്ല, അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വിശ്വാസമുള്ളവർക്കും കൂടെ ഉറപ്പാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെ.

17 (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, `even' God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.മരിച്ചവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും ഇല്ലാത്തതിനെ ഉള്ളതിനെപ്പോലെ വിളിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനായി താൻ വിശ്വസിച്ച ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ അവൻ നമുക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും പിതാവാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാക്കിവെച്ചു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

18 Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be.“നിന്റെ സന്തതി ഇവ്വണ്ണം ആകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ താൻ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാകും എന്നു അവൻ ആശെക്കു വിരോധമായി ആശയോടെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

19 And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb;അവൻ ഏകദേശം നൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവനാകയാൽ തന്റെ ശരീരം നിർജ്ജീവമായിപ്പോയതും സാറയുടെ ഗർഭപാത്രത്തിന്റെ നിർജ്ജീവത്വവും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ചില്ല.

20 yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിങ്കൽ അവിശ്വാസത്താൽ സംശയിക്കാതെ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ ശക്തിപ്പെട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുത്തു,

21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.അവൻ വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതു പ്രവർത്തിപ്പാനും ശക്തൻ എന്നു പൂർണ്ണമായി ഉറെച്ചു.

22 Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.അതുകൊണ്ടു അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു.

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned unto him;അവന്നു കണക്കിട്ടു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അവനെ വിചാരിച്ചു മാത്രം അല്ല,

24 but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,നമ്മെ വിചാരിച്ചുംകൂടെ ആകുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം മരണത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചും നമ്മുടെ നീതീകരണത്തിന്നായി ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്ന

25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയർപ്പിച്ചവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നമുക്കും കണക്കിടുവാനുള്ളതാകയാൽ തന്നേ.
