Proverbs 6 - BBE (Malayalam)

1 My son, if you have made yourself responsible for your neighbour, or given your word for another,മകനേ, കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വേണ്ടി നീ ജാമ്യം നിൽക്കയോ അന്യന്നു വേണ്ടി കയ്യടിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ,

2 You are taken as in a net by the words of your mouth, the sayings of your lips have overcome you.നിന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകളാൽ നീ കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോയി; നിന്റെ വായിലെ മൊഴികളാൽ പിടിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 Do this, my son, and make yourself free, because you have come into the power of your neighbour; go without waiting, and make a strong request to your neighbour.ആകയാൽ മകനേ, ഇതു ചെയ്ക; നിന്നെത്തന്നേ വിടുവിക്ക; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നീ അകപ്പെട്ടുപോയല്ലോ; നീ ചെന്നു, താണുവീണു കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു മുട്ടിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്ക.

4 Give no sleep to your eyes, or rest to them;നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഉറക്കവും നിന്റെ കണ്ണിമെക്കു നിദ്രയും കൊടുക്കരുതു.

5 Make yourself free, like the roe from the hand of the archer, and the bird from him who puts a net for her.മാൻ നായാട്ടുകാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും പക്ഷി വേട്ടക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും എന്നപോലെ നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ വിടുവിക്ക,

6 Go to the ant, you hater of work; give thought to her ways and be wise:മടിയാ, ഉറുമ്പിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുക; അതിന്റെ വഴികളെ നോക്കി ബുദ്ധിപഠിക്ക.

7 Having no chief, overseer, or ruler,അതിന്നു നായകനും മേൽവിചാരകനും അധിപതിയും ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടും

8 She gets her meat in the summer, storing up food at the time of the grain-cutting.വേനൽക്കാലത്തു തന്റെ ആഹാരം ഒരുക്കുന്നു; കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു തന്റെ തീൻ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു.

9 How long will you be sleeping, O hater of work? when will you get up from your sleep?മടിയാ, നീ എത്രനേരം കിടന്നുറങ്ങും? എപ്പോൾ ഉറക്കത്തിൽ നിന്നെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും?

10 A little sleep, a little rest, a little folding of the hands in sleep:കുറേക്കൂടെ ഉറക്കം; കുറേക്കൂടെ നിദ്ര; കുറെക്കൂടെ കൈകെട്ടിക്കിടക്ക.

11 Then loss will come on you like an outlaw, and your need like an armed manഅങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ദാരിദ്ര്യം വഴിപോക്കനെപ്പോലെയും നിന്റെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു ആയുധപാണിയെപ്പോലെയും വരും.

12 A good-for-nothing man is an evil-doer; he goes on his way causing trouble with false words;നിസ്സാരനും ദുഷ്കർമ്മിയുമായവൻ വായുടെ വക്രതയോടെ നടക്കുന്നു.

13 Making signs with his eyes, rubbing with his feet, and giving news with his fingers;അവൻ കണ്ണിമെക്കുന്നു; കാൽകൊണ്ടു പരണ്ടുന്നു; വിരൽകൊണ്ടു ആംഗ്യം കാണിക്കുന്നു.

14 His mind is ever designing evil: he lets loose violent acts.അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വക്രതയുണ്ടു; അവൻ എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദോഷം നിരൂപിച്ചു വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

15 For this cause his downfall will be sudden; quickly he will be broken, and there will be no help for him.അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ആപത്തു പെട്ടെന്നു വരും; ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവൻ തകർന്നുപോകും; പ്രതിശാന്തിയുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

16 Six things are hated by the Lord; seven things are disgusting to him:ആറു കാര്യം യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്നു; ഏഴു കാര്യം അവന്നു അറെപ്പാകുന്നു:

17 Eyes of pride, a false tongue, hands which take life without cause;ഗർവ്വമുള്ള കണ്ണും വ്യാജമുള്ള നാവും കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ചൊരിയുന്ന കയ്യും

18 A heart full of evil designs, feet which are quick in running after sin;ദുരുപായം നിരൂപിക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയവും ദോഷത്തിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഓടുന്ന കാലും

19 A false witness, breathing out untrue words, and one who lets loose violent acts among brothers.ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്ന കള്ളസാക്ഷിയും സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവനും തന്നേ.

20 My son, keep the rule of your father, and have in memory the teaching of your mother:മകനേ, നിന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിക്ക; അമ്മയുടെ ഉപദേശം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമരുതു.

21 Keep them ever folded in your heart, and have them hanging round your neck.അതു എല്ലായ്പോഴും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തോടു ബന്ധിച്ചുകൊൾക; നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ അതു കെട്ടിക്കൊൾക.

22 In your walking, it will be your guide; when you are sleeping, it will keep watch over you; when you are awake, it will have talk with you.നീ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു നിനക്കു വഴികാണിക്കും. നീ ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അതു നിന്നെ കാക്കും; നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അതു നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും.

23 For the rule is a light, and the teaching a shining light; and the guiding words of training are the way of life.കല്പന ഒരു ദീപവും ഉപദേശം ഒരു വെളിച്ചവും പ്രബോധനത്തിന്റെ ശാസനകൾ ജീവന്റെ മാർഗ്ഗവും ആകുന്നു.

24 They will keep you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the strange woman.അവ ദുഷ്ടസ്ത്രീയുടെ വശീകരണത്തിൽനിന്നും പരസ്ത്രീയുടെ ചക്കരവാക്കുകളിൽനിന്നും നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

25 Let not your heart's desire go after her fair body; let not her eyes take you prisoner.അവളുടെ സൌന്ദര്യത്തെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ മോഹിക്കരുതു; അവൾ കണ്ണിമകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ വശീകരിക്കയുമരുതു.

26 For a loose woman is looking for a cake of bread, but another man's wife goes after one's very life.വേശ്യാസ്ത്രീനിമിത്തം പെറുക്കിത്തിന്നേണ്ടിവരും; വ്യഭിചാരിണി വിലയേറിയ ജീവനെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നു.

27 May a man take fire to his breast without burning his clothing?ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വെന്തു പോകാതെ മടിയിൽ തീ കൊണ്ടുവരാമോ?

28 Or may one go on lighted coals, and his feet not be burned?ഒരുത്തന്നു കാൽ പൊള്ളാതെ തീക്കനലിന്മേൽ നടക്കാമോ?

29 So it is with him who goes in to his neighbour's wife; he who has anything to do with her will not go free from punishment.കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അവളെ തൊടുന്ന ഒരുത്തനും ശിക്ഷവരാതെയിരിക്കയില്ല.

30 Men do not have a low opinion of a thief who takes food when he is in need of it:കള്ളൻ വിശന്നിട്ടു വിശപ്പടക്കുവാൻ മാത്രം കട്ടാൽ ആരും അവനെ നിരസിക്കുന്നില്ല.

31 But if he is taken in the act he will have to give back seven times as much, giving up all his property which is in his house.അവനെ പിടികിട്ടിയാൽ അവൻ ഏഴിരട്ടി മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാം; തന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ വസ്തുവക ഒക്കെയും കൊടുക്കാം;

32 He who takes another man's wife is without all sense: he who does it is the cause of destruction to his soul.സ്ത്രീയോടു വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനൻ; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ സ്വന്തപ്രാണനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

33 Wounds will be his and loss of honour, and his shame may not be washed away.പ്രഹരവും അപമാനവും അവന്നു ലഭിക്കും; അവന്റെ നിന്ദ മാഞ്ഞുപോകയുമില്ല.

34 For bitter is the wrath of an angry husband; in the day of punishment he will have no mercy.ജാരശങ്ക പുരുഷന്നു ക്രോധഹേതുവാകുന്നു; പ്രതികാരദിവസത്തിൽ അവൻ ഇളെക്കുകയില്ല.

35 He will not take any payment; and he will not make peace with you though your money offerings are increased.അവൻ യാതൊരു പ്രതിശാന്തിയും കൈക്കൊള്ളുകയില്ല; എത്ര സമ്മാനം കൊടുത്താലും അവൻ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല.
