അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അഹരോൻ തന്റെ വടി ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിലത്തിട്ടു; അതു സർപ്പമായ്തീർന്നു.

had commanded: צִוָּ֣ה ṣāwâ tsa-VA
the Lord יְהוָ֑ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
cast down וַיַּשְׁלֵ֨ךְ šālak sha-LAHK
and Aaron אַֽהֲרֹ֜ן ʾahărôn ah-huh-RONE

his rod מַטֵּ֗הוּ maṭṭe ma-TEH
before לִפְנֵ֥י pānîm pa-NEEM
