1 Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,എന്നാൽ മതിൽ പണിതു തീർത്തു കതകുകൾ വെക്കുകയും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരെയും സംഗീതക്കാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും നിയമിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം

2 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.ഞാൻ എന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ഹനാനിയെയും കോട്ടയുടെ അധിപനായ ഹനന്യാവെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്നു അധിപതികളായി നിയമിച്ചു; ഇവൻ പലരെക്കാളും വിശ്വസ്തനും ദൈവഭക്തനും ആയിരുന്നു.

3 And I said to them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun shall be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.ഞാൻ അവരോടു: വെയിൽ ഉറെക്കുന്നതുവരെ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിൽ തുറക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ അരികെ നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ കതകു അടെച്ചു അന്താഴം ഇടുവിക്കേണം; യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളിൽനിന്നു കാവൽക്കാരെ നിയമിച്ചു ഓരോരുത്തനെ താന്താന്റെ കാവൽസ്ഥലത്തും താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നു നേരെയുമായി നിർത്തിക്കൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4 Now the city was large and great: but the people in it were few, and the houses were not built.എന്നാൽ പട്ടണം വിശാലമായതും വലിയതും അകത്തു ജനം കുറവും ആയിരുന്നു; വീടുകൾ പണിതിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

5 And my God put into my heart to assemble the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them who came up at the first, and found written in it,വംശാവലിപ്രകാരം എണ്ണം നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും പ്രമാണികളെയും ജനത്തെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിച്ചു. എന്നാറെ ആദ്യം മടങ്ങിവന്നവരുടെ ഒരു വംശാവലിരേഖ എനിക്കു കണ്ടു കിട്ടി; അതിൽ എഴുതിക്കണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

6 These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one to his city;ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കും യെഹൂദയിലേക്കും താന്താന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നവരായ ദേശനിവാസികൾ:

7 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;ഇവർ സെരുബ്ബാബേൽ, യേശുവ, നെഹെമ്യാവു; അസർയ്യാവു, രയമ്യാവു, നഹമാനി, മൊർദ്ദെഖായി, ബിൽശാൻ, മിസ്പേരെത്ത്, ബിഗ്വായി, നെഹൂം, ബയനാ എന്നിവരോടുകൂടെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽജനത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ സംഖ്യയാവിതു:

8 The children of Parosh, two thousand a hundred and seventy two.പരോശിന്റെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തൊരുനൂറ്റെഴുപത്തിരണ്ടു.

9 The children of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy two.ശെഫത്യാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ മൂന്നൂറ്റെഴുപത്തിരണ്ടു.

10 The children of Arah, six hundred and fifty two.ആരഹിന്റെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു.

11 The children of Pahath-moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.യേശുവയുടെയും യോവാബിന്റെയും മക്കളിൽ പഹത്ത്--മോവാബിന്റെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തെണ്ണൂറ്റിപ്പതിനെട്ടു.

12 The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.ഏലാമിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരത്തിരുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തിനാലു.

13 The children of Zattu, eight hundred and forty five.സത്ഥൂവിന്റെ മക്കൾ എണ്ണൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ചു.

14 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.സക്കായിയുടെ മക്കൾ എഴുനൂറ്ററുപതു.

15 The children of Binnui, six hundred and forty eight.ബിന്നൂവിയുടെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തെട്ടു.

16 The children of Bebai, six hundred and twenty eight.ബേബായിയുടെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്റിരുപത്തെട്ടു.

17 The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty two.അസ്ഗാദിന്റെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തി മുന്നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിരണ്ടു.

18 The children of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty seven.അദോനീക്കാമിന്റെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്ററുപത്തേഴു.

19 The children of Bigvai, two thousand and sixty seven.ബിഗ്വായിയുടെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തറുപത്തേഴു.

20 The children of Adin, six hundred and fifty five.ആദീന്റെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തഞ്ചു.

21 The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety eight.ഹിസ്ക്കീയാവിന്റെ സന്തതിയായി ആതേരിന്റെ മക്കൾ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെട്ടു.

22 The children of Hashum, three hundred and twenty eight.ഹാശൂമിന്റെ മക്കൾ മുന്നൂറ്റിരുപത്തെട്ടു.

23 The children of Bezai, three hundred and twenty four.ബേസായിയുടെ മക്കൾ മുന്നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിനാലു.

24 The children of Hariph, a hundred and twelve.ഹാരീഫിന്റെ മക്കൾ നൂറ്റിപന്ത്രണ്ടു.

25 The children of Gibeon, ninety five.ഗിബെയോന്യർ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റഞ്ചു.

26 The men of Beth-lehem and Netophah, a hundred and eighty eight.ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമ്യരും നെതോഫാത്യരും കൂടെ നൂറ്റെണ്പത്തെട്ടു.

27 The men of Anathoth, a hundred and twenty eight.അനാഥോത്യർ നൂറ്റിരുപത്തെട്ടു.

28 The men of Beth-azmaveth, forty two.ബേത്ത്-അസ്മാവേത്യർ നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു.

29 The men of Kirjath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty three.കിർയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം, കെഫീരാ, ബെയെരോത്ത് എന്നിവയിലെ നിവാസികൾ എഴുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തി മൂന്നു.

30 The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred and twenty one.രാമക്കാരും ഗേബക്കാരും അറുനൂറ്റിരുപത്തൊന്നു.

31 The men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty two.മിക്മാസ് നിവാസികൾ നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിരണ്ടു.

32 The men of Beth-el and Ai, a hundred and twenty three.ബേഥേൽകാരും ഹായീക്കാരും നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിമൂന്നു.

33 The men of the other Nebo, fifty two.മറ്റെ നെബോവിലെ നിവാസികൾ അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു.

34 The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.മറ്റെ ഏലാമിലെ നിവാസികൾ ആയിരത്തിരുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തിനാലു.

35 The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.ഹാരീമിന്റെ മക്കൾ മുന്നൂറ്റിരുപതു.

36 The children of Jericho, three hundred and forty five.യെരീഹോനിവാസികൾ മുന്നൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ചു.

37 The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty one.ലോദിലെയും ഹാദീദിലെയും ഓനോവിലെയും നിവാസികൾ എഴുനൂറ്റിരുപത്തൊന്നു.

38 The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.സേനായാനിവാസികൾ മൂവായിരത്തിത്തൊള്ളായിരത്തിമുപ്പതു.

39 The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy three.പുരോഹിതന്മാർ: യേശുവയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തിലെ യെദായാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ തൊള്ളായിരത്തെഴുപത്തിമൂന്നു.

40 The children of Immer, a thousand and fifty two.ഇമ്മേരിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരത്തമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു.

41 The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred and forty seven.പശ്ഹൂരിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരത്തിരുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തേഴു.

42 The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.ഹാരീമിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരത്തിപ്പതിനേഴു.

43 The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy four.ലേവ്യർ: ഹോദെവയുടെ മക്കളിൽ കദ്മീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ യേശുവയുടെ മക്കൾ എഴുപത്തിനാലു.

44 The singers: the children of Asaph, a hundred and forty eight.സംഗീതക്കാർ: ആസാഫ്യർ നൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തെട്ടു.

45 The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, a hundred and thirty eight.വാതിൽ കാവൽക്കാർ: ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ആതേരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, തൽമോന്റെ മക്കൾ, അക്കൂബിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹതീതയുടെ മക്കൾ, ശോബായിയുടെ മക്കൾ ആകെ നൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തെട്ടു.

46 The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാർ: സീഹയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹസൂഫയുടെ മക്കൾ, തബ്ബായോത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ, കേരോസിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

47 The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,സീയായുടെ മക്കൾ, പാദോന്റെ മക്കൾ,

48 The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,ലെബാനയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹഗാബയുടെ മക്കൾ, സൽമായിയുടെ മക്കൾ,

49 The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,ഹാനാന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിദ്ദേലിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗാഹരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, രെയായ്യാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

50 The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,രെസീന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെക്കോദയുടെ മക്കൾ

51 The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,ഗസ്സാമിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഉസ്സയുടെ മക്കൾ, പാസേഹയുടെ മക്കൾ,

52 The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,ബേസായിയുടെ മക്കൾ, മെയൂന്യരുടെ മക്കൾ, നെഫീത്യരുടെ മക്കൾ,

53 The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,ബക്ക്ബൂക്കിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹക്കൂഫയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹർഹൂരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ബസ്ളീത്തിന്റെമക്കൾ,

54 The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,മെഹിദയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹർശയുടെ മക്കൾ,

55 The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,ബർക്കോസിന്റെ മക്കൾ, സീസെരയുടെ മക്കൾ,

56 The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.തേമഹിന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെസീഹയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹതീഫയുടെ മക്കൾ.

57 The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ മക്കൾ; സോതായിയുടെ മക്കൾ, സോഫേരെത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

58 The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,പെരീദയുടെ മക്കൾ, യാലയുടെ മക്കൾ, ദർക്കോന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിദ്ദേലിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

59 The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.ശെഫത്യാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹത്തീലിന്റെ മക്കൾ, പോഖെരെത്ത്-സെബായീമിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ആമോന്റെ മക്കൾ.

60 All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred and ninety two.ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാരും ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ മക്കളും ആകെ മുന്നൂറ്റിത്തൊണ്ണൂറ്റി രണ്ടു.

61 And these were they who went up also from Tel-mela, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not show their fathers house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.തേൽ-മേലെഹ്, തേൽ-ഹർശാ, കെരൂബ്, അദ്ദോൻ, ഇമ്മേർ എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു മടങ്ങിവന്നവർ ഇവർ തന്നേ. എങ്കിലും അവർ യിസ്രായേല്യർ തന്നേയോ എന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനവും വംശോല്പത്തിയും കാണിപ്പാൻ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

62 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and forty two.ദെലായാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ, തോബീയാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെക്കോദയുടെ മക്കൾ; ആകെ അറുനൂറ്റി നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു പേർ.

63 And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, who took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite for a wife, and was called after their name.പുരോഹിതന്മാരിൽ: ഹോബയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹക്കോസ്സിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിലെയാദ്യനായ ബർസില്ലായിയുടെ പുത്രിമാരിൽ ഒരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു അവരുടെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ബർസില്ലായിയുടെ മക്കൾ.

64 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.ഇവർ വംശാവലിരേഖ അന്വേഷിച്ചു, കണ്ടില്ലതാനും; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരെ അശുദ്ധരെന്നെണ്ണി പൌരോഹിത്യത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

65 And the Tirshatha said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with Urim and Thummim.ഊരീമും തുമ്മീമും ഉള്ളോരു പുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ അവർ അതിപരിശുദ്ധമായതു തിന്നരുതെന്നു ദേശാധിപതി അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

66 The whole congregation together was forty two thousand three hundred and sixty.സഭയാകെ നാല്പത്തീരായിരത്തി മുന്നൂറ്ററുപതു പേരായിരുന്നു.

67 Besides their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty seven: and they had two hundred and forty five singing-men and singing-women.അവരുടെ ദാസീദാസന്മാരായ ഏഴായിരത്തി മുന്നൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തേഴുപേരെ കൂടാതെ തന്നേ; അവർക്കു ഇരുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ചു സംഗീതക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരത്തികളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

68 Their horses, seven hundred and thirty six: their mules, two hundred and forty five:എഴുനൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്താറു കുതിരയും ഇരുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ചു കോവർകഴുതയും

69 Their camels, four hundred and thirty five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.നാനൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തഞ്ചു ഒട്ടകവും ആറായിരത്തെഴുനൂറ്റിരുപതു കഴുതയും അവർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

70 And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ വേലെക്കായിട്ടു ദാനങ്ങൾ കൊടുത്തു; ദേശാധിപതി ആയിരം തങ്കക്കാശും അമ്പതു കിണ്ണങ്ങളും അഞ്ഞൂറ്റിമുപ്പതു പുരോഹിതവസ്ത്രവും ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

71 And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ പണിവക ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു ഇരുപതിനായിരം തങ്കക്കാശും രണ്ടായിരത്തിരുനൂറു മാനേ വെള്ളിയും കൊടുത്തു.

72 And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty seven priests' garments.ശേഷമുള്ള ജനം ഇരുപതിനായിരം തങ്കക്കാശും രണ്ടായിരം മാനേ വെള്ളിയും അറുപത്തേഴു പുരോഹിതവസ്ത്രവും കൊടുത്തു.

73 So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.അങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരും ജനത്തിൽ ചിലരും ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാരും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും താന്താങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്തു.
