കർത്താവേ, നിന്റെ ചെവി അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ താല്പര്യപ്പെടുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കും ശ്രദ്ധയുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണമേ. ഇന്നു അടിയന്നു കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചു ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എനിക്കു ദയ ലഭിക്കുമാറാക്കേണമേ. ഞാൻ രാജാവിന്നു പാനപാത്രവാഹകനായിരുന്നു.

O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

in the sight לִפְנֵ֖י pānîm pa-NEEM
man. הָאִ֣ישׁ ʾîš eesh
of this הַזֶּ֑ה ze zeh
For I וַֽאֲנִ֛י ʾănî uh-NEE
was הָיִ֥יתִי hāyâ ha-YA
cupbearer. מַשְׁקֶ֖ה mašqe mahsh-KEH
the king's לַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ melek meh-LEK
