ശിംശോന്റെ ഭാര്യ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കരഞ്ഞു: നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നില്ല, എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അസ്മാദികളോടു ഒരു കടം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു എനിക്കു അതു പറഞ്ഞുതന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോടു: എന്റെ അപ്പന്നും അമ്മെക്കും ഞാൻ അതു പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല; പിന്നെ നിനക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Samson's שִׁמְשׁ֜וֹן šimšôn sheem-SHONE

him, and said, וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Thou dost but רַק raq rahk
hate שְׂנֵאתַ֙נִי֙ śānēʾ sa-NAY
me not: וְלֹ֣א lōʾ loh
me, and lovest אֲהַבְתָּ֔נִי ʾāhab ah-HAHV
a riddle הַֽחִידָ֥ה ḥîdâ hee-DA
thou hast put forth חַ֙דְתָּ֙ ḥûd hood
unto the children לִבְנֵ֣י bēn bane
of my people, עַמִּ֔י ʿam am
וְלִ֖י
and hast not לֹ֣א lōʾ loh
told הִגַּ֑דְתָּה nāgad na-ɡAHD
me. And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
לָ֗הּ
unto her, Behold, הִנֵּ֨ה hinnē hee-NAY
my father לְאָבִ֧י ʾāb av
nor my mother, וּלְאִמִּ֛י ʾēm ame
I have not לֹ֥א lōʾ loh
told הִגַּ֖דְתִּי nāgad na-ɡAHD
וְלָ֥ךְ
and shall I tell thee? אַגִּֽיד׃ nāgad na-ɡAHD
