യോശുവ 7:5
ഹായിപട്ടണക്കാർ അവരിൽ മുപ്പത്താറോളം പേരെ കൊന്നു, അവരെ പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കൽ തുടങ്ങി ശെബാരീംവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു മലഞ്ചരിവിൽവെച്ചു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ടു ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഉരുകി വെള്ളംപോലെ ആയ്തീർന്നു.

| unto even | הַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ | haššaʿar | ha-SHA-AR |
| Shebarim, | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| and smote | הַשְּׁבָרִ֔ים | haššĕbārîm | ha-sheh-va-REEM |
| down: going the in them | וַיַּכּ֖וּם | wayyakkûm | va-YA-koom |
| hearts the wherefore | בַּמּוֹרָ֑ד | bammôrād | ba-moh-RAHD |

| and became | הָעָ֖ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
